It’s one of my absolute favorite favorites!!! I love it so so much. My favorite version is the live version from Cromisky Park Chicago 1979. Here’s the link. ua-cam.com/video/LlYN-WUDaJk/v-deo.html
@@Mary-cz8pf thank you! It’s a favorite. I love the Infinity and Evolution albums the most. They get a lot of play time with me. My favorite on the Evolution album is a song called Sweet and Simple. And I also love Opened the Door on the Infinity album. IMO. Both albums...are complete masterpieces. Every song is incredible.
@@wendyhowe2178 I love those songs too. Sweet and Simple really shows off Steve's voice. They put that in the category of one of the most impossible songs to sing
Huge Journey and Perry fan, definitely my favorite tune from them. And I love all there catalogs from top to bottom. Don't get much better than this folks!!
Steve's vocal range and breath control (at 4:20-4:45 and again at 6:42 -6:56) is so beyond what ordinary singers can do. Steve and Neal are stellar in Winds of March. We are so blessed that we can listen to him at will. Thanks for continuing w/ Journey!
I love watching your reactions to Steve and the band. Another song from this album that’s great is You’ve got something to hide. Steve sings the same notes that Neal is playing on his guitar. It’s amazing.
Hey Dianne, Thanks for requesting Something to Hide! I've requested it several times along with Still They Ride and Wheel in The Sky. I'm Lovin' that Phil is continuing with Journey/Steve Perry -music to our ears, hearts and cuts deep into the soul🎤🎶🎧⭐💖
Love that you reacted to this song! I see so many Journey reactions & they mainly just listen to their big hits. This one was more obscure but one of my favorites!
That’s Neal Schon on the acoustic guitar in the beginning of the song then he picks up with the ripping electric guitar. And of course Gregg Rolie on those amazing keys. This song has everything in it I love love love about Journey. Every single thing. It was written by Neal’s Dad and Steve Perry is the perfect voice for this beautiful song. Thank you Phil for the great reaction. Ps. Did you hear that amazing high note from Steve Perry??? At the 4:30 minute mark.
@@PhiliminizzyReacts it is truly a timeless masterpiece. It has everything I love about this band all in one song. It’s on repeat ALOT in my car. Hope you’ll react to Wheel in the Sky 1978 original video next. Steve is wearing all white and he’s looking gorgeous as usual. Another favorite of mine.
@@wendyhowe2178 Yes, A Masterpiece Sis! This Is One Of My Favs Too! (Though he has so many!) I sang a lil Mother Father in the car yesterday. This would be tough in the car though ha! Hell, this one would be tough even standing up as well! LOL! And, as I told Philiminizzy I'd never sang this one live before, but, I'm thinking I may still end up doing it! But like I also told Phil, I'd Def need an awesome delay on that Bad Ass Note! :)
Neal’s dad, Matthew, wrote this and Neal, Ross, bass player’s wife, and one other are the ones who wrote this. Written before Steve came in. 1977. But Steve sang it 🎶
Okay that makes sense. Neal's dad also wrote Mother Father, which is also classically based. From what Journey was doing before Perry and what Perry was doing before Journey, this had to come from somewhere else. Thanks.
Love the live video. The quality is a little grainy, but the sound is pretty good. You can see all the guys doing their thing. Did you notice Steve's long high note? It blended in with Neal's guitar.
Thanks Phillip for this reaction. This is probably one of my favorite deep cuts by Journey along with Mother Father. When you get a chance you need to see this live (ua-cam.com/video/mqHmFoHEv8U/v-deo.html), it is one of Steve's earlier performances. Actually the whole concert footage is fire. ua-cam.com/video/gyA6oFMuqLA/v-deo.html It is titled PBS Soundstage Chicago 1978. There is a blues section in the middle that features the Great Albert King and some other notable blues players. When y'all see it you will be amazed how good they are. If you can, could you please react to some Zebra, "Take Your Fingers From My Hair" live in Houston TX, 1983. ua-cam.com/video/Tz5pXa4sqsI/v-deo.html Thanks and God Bless.

Nice
My very favorite Journey song after 41 years.
