    No need for any software to delete EFI partition. CMD is enough for it.
    1. First run CMD as administrator
    2. Then type "dickpart"
    3. Then type "list disk"to list all the storage devices connected to your system
    4. Now select a disk by typing "select disk x" where the EFI partition is situated. (here x is the disk number, replce x with put the number of disk you want to select)
    5. Now type "list partition" to list all the partition of the selected disc you selected before
    6. Now type "select partition x" for to select the EFI partition(hair X is the partition number and check disc management to find the EFI partition number, replace x with it)
    7. Now type "delete partition override" to finally delete the EFI partition
    8. Then "exit" to exit cmd

    You left out of the video some very important steps to make the EFI partition you just crated, usable (BIOS will recognize as boot option). Before exiting diskpart you have to assign a letter to the EFI partition with the command assign letter=s Then you can exit diskpart. After that, type the command bcdboot C:\windows /s S: Done, now your EFI is usable.

    Pro tip: You may benefit by watching at 1.25x or 1.50x playback speed digest all this great information faster. I like watching with closed captioning, a.k.a. subtitles, enabled that way I don't miss anything. The auto-generated subtitles aren't always 100% correct prone to errors and will often misinterpret the narator; it's still very helpful most of the time when used to understand a certain word or words due to the narators dialect.

      I wouldn't question it in fear of offending windows 😂 sometimes these things work on hopes and prayers.
      Reminds me of that resistance in the BBC Micro circuit board which emulates an engineer's finger touching the circuit, without which the Micro wouldn't work and nobody knows why.

    The diskpart command 'del part override' allows you to delete EFI System Partitions.
    Also, I noticed another problem - in trying to format my partition, I got the error: 'Diskpart has encountered an error. The parameter is incorrect.' The solution to that was to shut down anything that could have a handle on the disk - in my case Windows Disk Management & Partition Wizard. If you're still getting that error, you could try diskpart from the Windows Recovery Environment or boot disk.
    I wanted to make the EFI System Partition the first partition on a GPT disk, and set it to 260MB in size, then make the second partition a 128MB MSR Partition. When I cleaned the disk and convert it to GPT, diskpart creates a 16MB MSR partition, and everything else goes after it. So I had to delete the 16MB MSR partition first.

    Long time ago I lost all my life and family pictures and videos and memories because of using the AOMEI partition manager. It didnt do well a very simple resize and move operation in a partition and completely made all of my disk destroyed by transfering wrong data, wrong blocks, and incorrectly partitioning. I wouldnt recommend ever use an AOMEI product.

    • @AOMEITech
      @AOMEITech  2 роки тому +1

      First of all, I want to say thank you very much for trusting our software and for using our software, and secondly, we also feel really sad about the loss of your data which tells us never to put eggs in only one box. It is very important to make multiple backups and keep them in different places. AOMEI has always been adhering to making users' data more secure. What I want to tell you is that simply adjusting the partition is absolutely impossible to cause data loss. Please recall what other operations you did during that time? Because I can assure you that we have never had user feedback that data was lost just by resizing partitions. Finally, when your data is lost, please use data recovery software to try to recover it the first time. And if you have any questions, please feel free to contact our support team by email. Partition Assistant is a powerful tool, hopefully, you can still use any other powerful functions, or use AOMEI Backupper to back up your important files as a routine.

    • @AOMEITech
      @AOMEITech  2 роки тому +1

      @@George.Gadgets Dear George, we are sad about this situation, but it's really inappropriate to say it must be the problem with the Partition Assistant. I know of course you are talking about "resize/move partitions", I also know you resized and moved your partitions, I only made it short to say "resize partitions" that's because usually it's a combination function, so obviously I didn't read you wrong. Secondly, I can promise you AOMEI has not read or written wrongly either because this function itself will not cause any data loss unless you moved the system partition/system reserved partition (it is a common sense not to move the system partition at will unless you are an expert) or there are bad sectors on the disk(which you don't even notice). As I said we don't have any user feedback about data loss due to resizing/moving partitions. There may be many reasons for your data loss, it depends on your specific environment and the state of your disk partitions. But you didn't provide us with all the information, we have no idea about what you did besides Partition Assistant either. Finally, now that your data has been lost, the most urgent thing to do now is to restore the data as possible as you can and back up your other important data so that this doesn't happen again.
