It’s okay, but when you hear one song, you’ve heard them all. She sounds exactly the same in every song they have.
Here’s a new perspective:
When Amy is hanging from the building about to fall, notice that when he tries to pull her up from the ledge, she is pulling AGAINST him.
She doesn’t want to be saved. She keeps resisting until she is free to fall.
The message in this song signifies her wanting to get OUT of a relationship, because she has fallen for someone else whom she wants to save her.

This was a big hit. She didn't like the song because her record label forced her to have a male rap verse or chorus.
Really, I didn't kn that, but the rap verse sounds good tho . But I understand it's her song and she thought it was perfect without the rap verse .

Amy Lee wrote the song about Josh Hartzler, the man who would become her husband.
When she met Hartzler, he was a friend of a friend: a total stranger who did not know her. Yet he could somehow "see inside her" and "bring her to life."
"I was in a really bad place, relationally, and going through a really hard time," Lee said in her Songfacts interview. "He sat across from me when we went to reserve a table and he just looked me dead in the eye and said, 'Are you happy?' And it shocked my heart and I looked down and just started making up excuses. I choked on my words because I felt like I was completely outwardly acting normal, but inside in a lot of turmoil. And I felt like he could just see straight into my soul. That inspired the whole song. Years later I told him it was about him."
It was a few years before Lee and Hartzler started dating. From 2003-2005 she had a high-profile relationship with Seether frontman Shaun Morgan, so many fans assumed the song was about him. Lee didn't say who it was about until later.
Hartzler and Lee got married in 2007 and had a son, Jack, in 2014.

The male vocalist is from the band 12 Stones, they had a few good songs back in the day. I haven't listened to them in forever, I don't even know if they're still together. Evanescence has always been one of my favorites and Amy one of my favorite female vocalists.

This song. Oh the memories. I was in a terrible, unfulfilling relationship back in 2002. But there was this guy that came into my work ( I was a bartender) he noticed the fingerprint bruises on my arms continuously. He always spoke to me with so much respect and tenderness...and man, was he funny! He made me laugh until my stomach hurt. When he was around I would get that feeling in my chest and my stomach, you know the butterflies and the pounding heart. He eventually gave me the courage to get out of the abusive relationship that I was in. We would play this song over and over again. It was our song and it still is our song, it always will be. He and I did not work out, but I will always be grateful for him rescuing me. And he will always be the one that got away :-)
