It’s great. I’ve been a Kemper user for the last eight years, and they only updated their software recently, so that it can be used as an audio interface. This pedal is a must have, together with a couple of effects pedals it will make the perfect, budget friendly backup. Love than Union Jack finish, on what I assume is a Jackson?
There’s absolutely no reason for anyone not to be creative these days. Everything, including this pedal, acts as an audio interface, so ideas can e recorded at any level.
Are you sure about FX loop trick? I mean if you take FX send signal to drive your amp does it cut out the signal at that spot? Meaning no signal to main out until signal is back to FX return, that's should be the purpose of FX loop kinda serial path not parallel?
i think anyone doing the silent stage thing would be spending a lot more money than this, not sure who this is aimed at, bit like the new tonex one, who is it aimed at? i'm only looking because i wouldn't mind a pedal amp instead of a tube head for gigs and practice, just easier to transport, but probably would still want a cab on stage, this doesn't allow that, the blackstar amped-1 does have a speaker out so that could be a better option for me.
does this pedal have some kind of noise gate or suppression on the higher gain amps ? I never hear noise between stops on many demos like this one for this particular pedal on it's own .
Hi, hybrydsanity5857! Thanks for your message, hope you’re well. Yes, there is a noise suppressor just after the amp simulator in the signal chain. YMMV depending on the guitar you’re using and the gain settings for the Amp sim. Please contact us direct with other questions as you have them! @@Gutch220 so it does, the connector is USB-C, although he said in the video to use a USB 2.0 cable, which normally means the old USB, but it can also infrequently mean a USB-C connector with that USB-C being slow like old USB. So fine, it has a good modern connector, but it uses old slow USB inside.
@@zap7759 USB 3.0 reduces buffer latency. Bandwidth is not the concern. Older USB will have more delay. For recording it is less of a concern. For live playing, any latency reduces the expressionistic connection to the instrument and to the music.

I just received mine today, and I've been watching videos about it all day. I can't wait to try it out! And, GREAT demo! Always love watching your stuff!
The MDP amp models that are included are the only case I know of someone trying to use the additional capabilities of digital to go beyond simply modeling analog amps. It’s crazy to me that this doesn’t get mentioned more.

Please have Don do this demo. We would like to hear a variety of playing styles, and less of this comedic approach to gear demos. Thank you!
@@MrJuanchernandezJohnny DeMarco is my preference but the guy in the video is good.
junk
I'm really enjoying this pedal thanks to my long time Sweetwater rep CJ Antol. Thanks for hooking me up... and the candy!🤘🤘
I love that you played one of your own solos from Grim Reaper on the Slo setting!
I love that you played that Eddie Van Halen intro for the clean amp. RIP
Great playing!

Being able to record doesn't make one creative.
Loved the Alice in Chains you were playing on the modded setting, could tell you were really getting into it too! Nice demo. Peace.
Nice review. Playing Santana's Europa on "Rectifier" with full gain, LOL.
I have mine on order!
Thorough review. Cheers!
Can you this use through a clean Fender Amp if you turn off the cabinets!

wow killer intro!

Would this be a waste of money (tonewise) if I already have a Katana MKII?

Are we hearing the pedal board direct in, or is something mic'd?
straight it
Most of these reviews fail to demo how it sounds through a traditional cab or an FRFR cab. Big difference between both.
One elusive pedal...
this came out months ago, you're just posting the video on it now? lol
I think it means they should be getting their next batch soon… if they don’t have it already.
I want to learn how to play guitar backwards after watching this video
Why make a video on a item you haven't had in stock for months?
They will have it eventually. Chill out 😂
To troll.
I get your point. But I believe this means they will be getting their next batch soon. They review to get ready to sell them
Exact dude you are right.
Sense of self entitlement is strong in this thread
Two notes opus is a better product inmho
Maybe for a studio desk or secured to a 19" rack shelf. Everywhere else this wins by just being a BOSS compact pedal lol
It needs to be updated to use USB-C.
it does have USB-C

Apparently 32bit 96khz doesn't need more than 2.0 speed. What does your main interface use and run at?

Thanks 4 this comprehensive breakdown… I just got mine!!🕺🏾🕺🏾👏🏾👏🏾🤘🏾✊🏾💯🫡🤣
Boss is sold out of this and the Katana Go. They didn’t expect the success. It’s annoying to have to wait a year before they can meet demand.
I was considering getting the IR-2... and then the BOSS Katana GO came out. Got the Katan Go. Not disappointed in the decision
Sounds decent on metal. Curious what it sounds like on classic rock and such.
The paint job on that guitar is distracting. It looks great.

How is the usb used with iOS devices? The handy dandy manual is useless at explaining this in any detail.
