- Blessed Are the Sick is the second studio album from American death metal band Morbid Angel. Though the album features some fast sections, the overall sound is markedly slower than the debut and identifiable classical music undertones (main composer Trey Azagthoth would dedicate this album to Mozart). Tracks 9, 10 and 12 are re-recorded songs from the 1986 demo Abominations of Desolation.
The cover painting is "Les Trésors de Satan" by Jean Delville.
Lyrics:
[Intro]
Urgh!
[Verse 1]
Rise, a call to take your hand
I'm at one with the dark
(Urgh!) How dare you come for me?
And again you will die, die
Eah!
[Verse 2]
So ancient curse known to me
Behold the powers I unleash
Upon your throne
Know my words, feel my hate descend
[Chorus]
Lord of light
I will swarm against you now
Gods perverse
Wickeds at my side
Misery
Thorns to lance your every word
Nazarene
Now I crown you king in pain (Wargh)
[Post-Chorus]
Suffer
Ah!
[Guitar Solo]
Ugh! (Ugh!)
Ah!
Sick cover.

Awesome! One question, I've seen several players have that strap in the headstock, what is it for?
Some people use them to help with muting, but I have it on mine because I was getting a little bit of buzz at the nut on my A string.
@@justinandsheba Cool, thanks for the reply!
You're welcome, and thanks for watching!!
I was sitting in my car with my good friend and best man smoking cigarettes quick before we had to go back inside the church because I was my wedding. The last song we listened to just before we went back inside for my dumb ass to get married was "day of suffering' It was the perfect theme song for that day. needless to say the marriage didn't last one year before she started banging other dudes. It was probably way earlier. lol

Hey man, what size string are you using for this? Im learning to play finger style but my strings feel too tense for me to pluck near the bridge as you do.
They're 45-105.
Sick. Love to see metal bass players not use a pick.
Thanks man.
Only the extreme metal bands like Green Day use picks. Soft rock like Morbid Angel use your fingers.
Exactly!!
