Hey Alison! The painting was so soothing and relaxing! I love painting but I'm not that great at drawing (anymore) LOL! I was thinking about creating a pen+ink log for my pens so that I can see how the pen behaves with each ink altogether in one spread like this - but then I was like, "I already have the pens + ink in my currently inked pages". But seeing this, I'm glad I'm you have your own way of doing it and I shouldn't ditch the idea altogether lol! :) Thank you for sharing your experiences and logging!
I mean, those currently inked pages are so satisfying, aren’t they? 🥹 I suppose there is some duplication happening between currently inks and this pen and ink log approach. I do like how each book is different paper (one is Midori, the other is old TR paper), so that’s fun as well! I’d love to see your take on this if you do pick up the idea again in the future! ☺️
Thank you so much! Yeah, my first few ink purchases were FWP, and I especially liked that they incorporated Toronto themes into their names since that’s where I live. Now that I’ve branched out and tried other inks (after investing in quite a few bottles 😅), I’m consistently finding that I prefer other brands more.
Thank you, Kris! I feel like I’m hyping it up more than I should. It’s a very simple “makeover,” but it will be nice to document it and anything would have been an improvement from where it was. 😅
@@Terrible_Hime so true! Btw - I couldn’t get that cheesling chicken out of my mind after watching your vlog, so I finally tried some from a local restaurant here. I loved it!! 🥹
Thank you so much! It’s been fun to have reasons to revisit my pens and look at them in a new light when I’m trying to draw them or compare how they feel with different inks. ☺️
Ooh, thank you for confirming! And yes, it turned out fairly close in the end. It’s still a bit more pink-leaning, but if I try to fix it now, I’ll probably make it worse 😂
It has been so hard to find a sample (or bottle) of it in Canada, so I broke all of my 'rules' for buying it without trying a sample first. Regardless, seeing the samples I could find online + the enthusiasm from Yoseka (and maybe the scarcity of it constantly selling out?) + the name of the ink and my love for sesame oil broke me down. No regrets!! I love it so much. 🥹🫶
I am in Canada as well: would you have any interest in selling me a sample of sesame oil? Or do you know where in Canada I can buy a sample? I’m really trying to not buy bottles without first sampling ink!
Ah, yes, it is hard to find. I spent quite some time trying to get a sample before I finally broke down and got the bottle. I tried reaching out to Paper Plus Cloth to see if they might bring in Sesame Oil, since they carry the ink brand, but I haven’t heard back. Whereabouts in Canada do you live? I understand wanting to try a sample before buying a whole bottle of ink, and I don’t mind sharing a sample of it. Feel free to send me an email at littlecocostudio@gmail.com.
I love this idea! This will be so nice to flip back on. This is a great reason to put your planners down for a bit!
Thank you! 🥰 Yes, I agree! It’s really rewarding to flip back on the few pens I’ve completed, already!

Just found your channel tonight. Enjoying your videos and have to say I have to agree with you on the Ferris Wheel inks.

this was a nice, chill video. I'm looking forward to the bathroom makeover.

@@LittleCocoStudio even just a new paint color can make a big impact!

Absolutely fantastic video! I really love the idea of dating your pens.

Beautiful 😊
Thank you so much! 🥰
Nice job on the color matching! I like the idea of sketching out one's pens......thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much! I'm happy with how this one turned out! ☺️
Those are called pipettes; very close to the pen color from here, nice!

Lennon tool bar sesame oil is the only ink sample I’ve tried and been like “I need a full bottle of that”
