I live in the UK. Those labels that say "void if removed" are NOT legal here. You are legally allowed to open up anything here and vendors have no legal right to prevent you doing so and their warranty is unaffected even if you break their label. It's really great and there is nothing any manufacturer can say or do about it. It's the law here, manufacturers really have zero power to debate it. We also have the right to repair anything, nobody can stop you and it does not void your warranty. Apple tried to fight it and lost, they then got fined a huge amount of money for not honouring warranties and not recognising individual's rights and were made to repair and replace loads of devices. Pretty cool, wouldn't you agree? :)
I think your retraction was the problem not the power loss recovery. It should be around 1mm with around 40mm/s. Both stringing and the gaps in TPU Rocket are probably caused by this.
For a direct drive extruder, shouldn't the retraction be low? Like less than 1mm? I have a Fokoos Odin F5 and for PLA I get stringing any time the retraction is higher than 1.
Thanks for that video. Very good! Do you know what kind of hot end this printer has? I'm thinking to buy this printer, but also to change to an all metal hot end with a hardened steel nozzle (I do that on all my printers).
Just wonder, it seems that other reviewers could simply select the CURA setup for this printer and got excellent printing results (basically) out of the box. Why did you create your own cura setup?
what i’ve notice on direct drive it’s not retraction and increasing, it’s the extrusion speed just after retraction. slow it down, i noticed this when actual seeing it print.
I have this one. I have problems with that it randomly stops printing. If I press Pause it will move the extruderhead out to the side, pressing start it will move back in to where it stops... But not continue.. If I take the power off and on it will use the power fail function and resume printing.. but it dosnt look good where it picks up the printing.
Cura ruins the printing experience for me. Never can a get a good print no matter the machine. I started using voxelmaker with my Anet using an aquila profile and it comes out nice and clean.

took every connection apart and cleaned them with air, that fixed it.
I just bought one today. There's a sale on here in Europe $199 USD with free shipping. Absolute bargin.
was it a return?? I bought w=one supposedly new and further inspection feels like a return.. my extruder cable is shot already
wow, so nice
I'm wondering when the chinese will start making printers from plastic 2040 extrusions?? 😁 Nice honest review, well done!!
Is it possible to put wifi on this printer?
Nice giant octopus. How many grams is that roughly Vlad?
Model scaled to 280% = 303g -102m or a little less than 1/3 of a 1kg spool.
