There is one more "reset" option, which is also called cold reset or hard reset. I know this by interacting with the customer support. The way to do it is to hold down the power button for 15s. For 2-3s, the "turn off device" notice will pop up like in the video. Ignore it and keep holding down the power button for longer (15s). Then the device is hard reset, though you will notice it stays at the "turn off device" page. Then turn it on by holding the power button again. This hard reset will solve most hardware issue, like battery not being able to charge etc.
Good vid! Question about recovery mode, I tried getting my Paper Pro out of Developer Mode by using the method the other day but, after waiting close to 40 minutes, nothing happened. I use an M1 MBA, and had given the rM software all software permissions. On my Mac terminal, it kept displaying a message along the lines of “Success 0 Fail 0 Attempt to connect to device…” and my Paper Pro’s front-light kept flashing on and off. What did your Paper Pro do? Should I have been more patient?
Hi there, I think you've waited more than enough. In my case the process was finished within 3-5 minutes really. Did you get Status OK when using the first command? Also, can you double click the rm_recovery exe file to run it first? Also, can you try other port on your Mac? Do you get "allow" prompt when connecting to your Mac?
Calibre can be installed on Mac or Windows machine. It is very easy to install and use primarily to convert documents and books from one file format to another. Once converted you'd need to use another way to transfer the book to your reMarkable device. Hope this helps

Thank you for sharing. Will pin this to the top for others to try if needed.
