    "Fully Clean the Drive" deletes other drives like "D", "E", etc? Or only cleans the "C" drive?

      Glad it helped. If you are not doing a clean partition install you will not need a fresh windows key.

    Great video. Since a clean install can be done as shown in the video then what is the difference between downloading windows 11 onto a usb drive and using the bios for a clean install? Thanks

    • @lazayvion

      By BIOS, you mean the OS level?

      @@lazayvion well some download windows 11 onto a Bootable USB drive then go through bios to do a clean install. I've never done a reset at all so I wanted to know what difference is between the video or the other way I described.

      @@BC19572 USB is generally better because it completely wipes the drive and all partitions. If the OS is damaged, this is the only way.
      I usually recommend the USB way or the advanced way which is mentioned in the video.

    • @lazayvion
      @lazayvion 2 місяці тому +2

      Furthermore: A clean install via USB wipes everything and installs the OS from scratch, while the OS reset feature often retains or restores some system files, apps, and settings, offering quicker recovery. The clean install is more thorough, ensuring no leftover data or issues.
      The advanced way in this video is replicating the USB method.

    I just got mine yesterday and it doesn't give me the option to reset the PC, super annoying! It says my password is incorrect, I don't even remember choosing one, guess I'll return it.

    Store I bought a laptop from stupidity turned it on and just selected yes to everything in the Win 11 Setup, I want it back to as if I opened it from the factory. I guess a ‘Remove Everything’ reset will do this but will all the manufacturer stuff also be reinstalled? I want Lenovo’s install, not a bare Microsoft one.

    • @SoulOfTech
      @SoulOfTech  Місяць тому +1

      The local re-install option will install the version the manufacture (Lenovo) had on it on day 0. You’ll be able to opt in/out of all the items once the setup process comes back

    I have NVMe SSD of 512GB. The available & formatted space available is showing 477GB in task manager. I think this is usable memory. But, when I am viewing only the C-Drive in File Explorer/My PC, the total space showing is 455GB. There is no partition. This is Windows 11.
    Another, 500GB SSD (not a NVMe one), formatted & available space showing is 466GB in task manager which I guess is usable memory. Total space shown in File Explorer/My PC, it is showing 464GB & partitions are made on this SSD. But, the total space is showing here is accurate & equal to what shown in Task Manager. Its Windows 10.
    I am not understading where the 22GB is going in first scenario.

      Reinstall it and the problem might solve itself

    My laptop didn't give me a choice if I want it to be local or cloud what does mean?

    • @SoulOfTech
      @SoulOfTech  7 днів тому

      It's nothing to worry about. It means either you did not have an active internet connection or the service could not reach the server in which case it will just default to a local reinstall.

    whats the difference between doing a complete clean windows 11 installation through usb and doing factory reset??

    • @SoulOfTech
      @SoulOfTech  2 місяці тому +3

      Great question! This video assumes you have or had a working version of windows 11 pre-installed on your device in which case either of the two methods here will work.
      If however you do not have windows 11 already installed or somehow it was completely wiped off your hard drive you can use a USB to install windows 11 on a fresh partition within your hard drive as the other two options shown here will not useable.

    and will it delete all the virus and other stuff if i do local reinstall? or do i have to do the cloud reinstall to make sure all the viruses and trojans are gone?

    • @CardinalCake
      @CardinalCake 4 дні тому

      You could get away with local, assuming the virus/trogan didn’t go into its files, but a clean reinstall via USB is a better, and safer option.

      Hey Im sorry to hear that. Your windows likely has a missing/corrupt files which are preventing it from going forward. You can do a true clean install via a spare flash (USB) drive. I will make a video on that at some point too. In the mean time you can use this guide:

      Sorry to hear that. You can force it into advance mode mode by holding the shift button when you go to the windows button and click “restart”. Keep holding the shift button until you see the world “Please wait”. This will trigger the advance menu.

      Your computer can still run fine, but that will cause issues when trying to reset it which you seem to be facing. You probably gotta do a clean install using an USB with windows 11 setup on it.
