These are our people, defending us. Sometimes even from our own selves. No one likes to get a temporary ticket, for example, but a funeral is forever. Thank you so much. I just wish that you guys would put a deputy around the clock in Idyllwild. There are times that your department has been called for someone in need of help and either it takes forever for a response, sometimes 2-6 hrs or more, or absolutely no deputy ever calls or even shows up to help. I realize your short staffed, but these rural communities really need constant patrols to curb the constant public drug use (which when I called I was told your department wouldn't even respond to a call of someone actively doing methamphetamines, on a busy public street, in front of homes and businesses, because the individual would be out in 6 hrs anyway...so he wasn't going to come and waste his time), public fighting, rampant theft, ect.
And when residents come to your station asking for extra patrols because of these reasons...fill out the proper paperwork and turn it in immediately to the lady at the desk...absolutely nothing happens. No extra patrols ever drive by.
So folks feel like our PAID LAW ENFORCEMENT don't care because you don't help or your deputies blame the victims instead of arresting the actual perpetrator. And the criminals in these communities know you won't show up so they cause chaos that never stops. Please help the communities your paid to help instead of residents having to defend themselves. Please!!

I 100% can assure you that the Riverside County Sheriff's Department would do more if they can, but most of the budget for the Deputies within Departments in California are depended on by the County Government Officials or the City Officials, if you want the Riverside County Sheriff's Department to have more Patrols throughout Idyllwild, you can try to get the people who manage Idyllwild to try to get a Contract with the Sheriff's Department.
I’m glad you mentioned this. I had been looking to buy a home in the Idyllwild area for the past several years and didn’t give consideration to police response. I also didn’t give consideration that there was much crime there. Heart breaking. When my kids were babies we used to stay at the Idyllwild Inn every summer. I loved that place because there was a tiny playground behind the cabins.

So. This video is awesome! BUT! What happened on January 8th 2021 in Temecula, CA??? That was VERY sick to watch!!!
I'm all for good cops/policing pretect and serve.
BUT! Not! The way part of your teammates/ brothers and sisters in green did on that evening/night! That WAS NOT good at ALL!
What about the local Riverside county sheriff and police officers who regularly force prostitutes to perform sexual acts or be charged with prostitution? What about the consistent refusal to wear body cams whole year after year we have minors and people of all ages being beat and even killed by these police officers. People even minors are also searched and robbed by Riverside county police officers with no way to report it and get those things back. People are even being obtained and groped by police officers when there is no way to report them and get justice for that. And why? Because they refuse to wear body cams so they con continue to violate the law and not be prosecuted for these things. I’ve lived in Riverside county for over 20 years, I’ve seen, Heard and experienced these things myself countless times now.
Been here all.of my life. And I am Mexican so I have a large family here..We have never heard of what you are talking about happen here.
