I hope you all enjoyed another adventure out on the backroads searching for more history and forgotten places. The first church looked so out of place being a somewhat larger church and in a very remote part of Alberta. Also surprising to see many items just left inside. Hopefully maybe some can be salvaged before it is too late. Have a great day everyone! Thanks for the support and I will see you on the next!
What an amazing find. Thanks for capturing this great church. Abandoned in the 90s doesn't seem like long ago. Yet long enough to cause this much damage.
It was a great location to check out. When no one is around to maintain a building it really doesn't take long to deteriorate, especially when water enters. Have a good one!
Thanks for sharing this excellent find. I concur with others who comment on the poignancy of the church just being left to deteriorate. The pews and windows are beautiful and it's unfortunate that they were not salvaged for another purpose. I guess this is the way of the world, though. I really appreciate these glimpses of the past through present exploration. Thank you.
Yea they could have been reused. It makes you wonder about what actually happened that it was just left. What surprised me is just how remote this big church is with very few people anywhere near. Take care!
@@ExploringwithWade I don't know how things are in small communities in Canada, but in those I've inhabited here there is usually a small group of "movers and shakers" who keep things going. Once they are gone, there isn't much left. :(
Hi Wade, a great find. The church was in a stunning location and beautiful inside and out. So much stories of times gone by if only the walls could talk. So good 👏👍~ Anna
Hello, I'm new to your channel 👋 I really like your historical documentary. I find it fascinating to watch 😁 What you're doing is awesome!👍I'm interested in visiting these places myself. Thank you for your hard work 👏 Have a great one 🙂
Great find wade. the church at the beginning must have been beautiful back in the day. Another place just up and left. So many things could have been used somewhere else. and the second place was a good find.
Astonishing to see how weathered the roof is on one side vs the other. No doubt which way the wind blows! 🌬 Nasty bird-killing wind turbine in background. 😢
Wow what an intriguing find! A beautiful church just sitting out in the middle of nowhere. I’m surprised that the windows are still intact ! Such a waste, with the roof caving in it will be no more in a few years. ☹️ The cross with the angel is too pretty to not be reused by another church. Interesting but poignant find. 👍
It really is in the middle of nowhere which made it even more surprising. It is unfortunate to just be forgotten about but I am assuming people visit the cemetery from time to time still. Take care!
The church was clearly very nice in its day. But the altar with the lamb is absolutely gorgeous! It looks like it had been intended for a much grander setting. If it is owned by one of the mainline denominations, I'm surprised they don't remove it.
I'm guessing this is a Catholic church because I don't see a full on baptistry setup. I was also thinking the last time it was used was possibly in the 80's or 90's based on the interior. Which seems to be correct. Awesome video Wade. These old churches are very cool to see.
Yes it is Catholic and you can definitely see the 80s and 90s in the church. Unfortunately it is falling into ruin, but I am glad to have visited it. Have a nice day!
WHEN YOU WALK IN THESE PLACES SPECIALLY WHEN THEY ARS NOT FALLING APART... WOULDN'T YOU LIKE TO CLEAN OR JUST STRAIGHTENED OUT THE PLACE? Amazing how people just leave.
0:48 Time. ONE < , always knows, the direction, of an old building : BY ITS' ROOF shingles. This one, has the rotten / missing shingle side, right side, facing S O U T H. Sun - dried, wind - torn shingles...just like my g a r a g e. Here, in Sunny-ways Alberta. Thank - you, Gashole trudeau, for your GAS tax. ....?...// any way ...anyway...on with This ....here video. Thanks Wade, !
This is a really awesome video. I just imagine that church being full of people singing as I am a Christian. Really sad it will go to ruin. I thought you were going to pray at the altar 😂 Is the church in Saskatchewan or Alberta?
Thanks for watching! It is unfortunate to have been forgotten and is falling into ruin. I am just glad to document these places while they still exist. It is in Alberta.
I’ve been trying to find beauty again. I have older photos of it but I want better ones. I remember it being near Orion but I keep taking the wrong roads- it’s frustrating as heck.

I love the dreary clouds in the shot, it makes the church more vibrant. It's a beautiful area
It was a great day out there and a beautiful part of the province.
What a lovely church ,it must have been beautiful when it was being used ,the scenery was beautiful
Such a remote area for a church but it was beautiful out there.
Thanks! I really enjoy your videos
Thanks so much for the support! I really appreciate it! Have a great day.
What a forgotten gem! Beautiful :)
It really is! Seems so out of place out there. I am used to remote places but this really was remote for this size of church. Have a good one!
Incredible video Wade🌟
Thank you very much!

Yea they definitely could have reused some of the items left behind. Always makes you wonder why they just up and left all of a sudden.
love it

Yea when I first saw the church it didn't look too bad of condition, but I was wrong when I saw the roof on other side.

Cool stuff, I live in Edmonton. What part of the province do you live in?…
Its really sad that the 10% of people that can afford to save place like this. Won't. It is a part of our history. If only for future generations. ❤

so much of nothingness makes me feel deep sadness
