If I remember right I put a dot of where to drill at 12.5 inches. I think that would make it 8.5 in between each hole. Definitely mark before you drill to make sure that looks right. Good luck! Thanks for the comment.
Our coop is extra pest proof so we have no worries about that here but if you don't have it locked up like we do then you definitely do need to cap them at night.

Any problems with condensation?
No I haven't had any problems with condensation, and I don't think you should with dry feed but I also live in a very dry climate.
How many inches between each condet ting. I too want to add 6 feeding holes with 55 gallon drum

I got nothing.
I do this but they still pull the food out.
Weird I have never found any food on the ground.
