Chris has one of precious few channels that delivers new, very informative content consistently on a regular basis. He really spoils us watch nerds and I love it. Most channels don't (Yeah, I'm looking at you, Jory) and are okay with giving us maybe one mediocre video a week or two (again, Jory). Thank you, Chris, for all your great content - including this one, of course; as always, very thorough and comprehensive.
US$1920 for a dive watch with an eta 2824 / 38 hours of power reserve. Great bracelet but that’s steep for the package. You can buy the Aquastar Model 60 on a BoR, same movement and 200m of water resistance for under $1k. You can jump up to the Model 60 with the LJP movement and 68 hrs of power reserve for $1400. Think this is a pass.
These are absolutely beautiful, I own the blue one, and its my most favourite watch. 20mm lug width, you can just put any kind of strap on it. The orange one is also a killer, and don't have me started on the brown, I would love to own them all 🤪
Why, because it has a 2824-2 under the hood? Personally, I think that's ridiculous; the finishing and bracelet definitely take it up several notches. I'd agree that it should be closer to $1300, though.
4hz was the standard beat rate for many watches in the ‘60s and ‘70s. Most folks think anything over 3hz is high beat. That take is a result of mass produced cheap movements operating at 3hz plus YTs. I would argue high beat is 5hz and above like the Ultra-Chron and GS high beat models.
@@user-vv1qm5dj9cgood point but in the majority of present day watch reviews I am hearing 4Hz being called high beat. Maybe we should have three terms..low beat, high beat and higest beat lol
Simply stated, just save up if it sings to you; it's worth it and, quite frankly, 1400 shouldn't take that long to make it happen - relatively speaking, especially.
I have the stainless version with black dial, and love everything about it, and waiting for the bracelet to arrive. I wouldn't change anything about this watch
Agree, it does not look like a bracelet that would wear comfortably. And that adjustable clasp is making appearances on lots of microbrands available with specs just as good for far less money, the Wise Adamascus AD8 comes to mind.
Is a nice watch. But the pricing doesn’t add up for me. I can get a Longines with complications for $500 more. But hey if the brands heritage speaks to you…
😂😂😂 If your old enough to remember Vulcain the first time round this push up market is hilarious, they used to compete with Timex, the whole point of US presidents wearing it was its blue collar atmos, £2000 is just silly, the brand isn't even known outside watch circles, im sorry to be pescriptive but this is a meh watch from a no-mark zombie brand.
I have concerns about giving the present owner of the name any credit for the heritage of the brand. This is no different than any homage watch. This model should be under $1k.
Hello and thanks for this video. Am I the only one who is a bit bored about vintage look of most of the new watches now. Same vintage indexes, same vintage dials, same vintage bezels, ... They are all looking the same.
Almost $2K for a resurrected brand is a bit too steep for me, but a nice watch.

@@WatchChris Giddyup - just being honest, my fellow New Yorker. Shout out from Garden City, Long Island, brother.
Beautiful skin divers, but wish the bezel markings (or least a bezel pip) was lumed.
A Diver Watch with a Rotating Bezel...without Lume??...not even on the pip?? ...for 2K?? HARD Pass!!🖐

The steel on bracelet is so tempting. Thanks for showing these!
It should be half the price it is being sold for....

I have the orange dial Nautique and absolutely love it!
Los 2 son hermosos pero me invlino más por el color acero inoxidable y por ese increíble brazalete.

Hella affordable at 1890 euro. Words DO have meaning, you know...
The pip - at minimum - has to be lumed.
A nice looking watch, but starting at £1400 isn't affordable to me.
It has one of the best bracelets ever

I have that bracelet in oysterquartz :)
Thanks for the comment
It's gorgeous, love the bracelet, unfortunately I want applied indices...
I have never been disappointed since I became a customer of amzwatch. Their watches are of exceptional quality.
That gold case looks awesome, love Vulcain
Thank you for making high quality videos!Love MaMaCoo ’s watches
The curvature and length of the links of the bracelet cannot convince me that it wraps the wrist well……
Agreed. I would choose straps instead no doubt. But I do like the watch itself.

Interesting to see " incabloc" on a watch face. I have a Tressa incabloc purchased in 1960. Never serviced it still runs OK.
It is, indeed, very old-school - and I like it. Also, there aren't many skin divers that are 20atm, either - most are 15atm.
I'm a big fan of the brand. Need the orange dial in a bigger size.
Cool! Does the clasp adjustment cover a full link? There are no half links, right?
Really nice looking but the combination of lug to lug/case size & thickness is just a bulky little watch. At least for my 8” wrist.

I see where you are coming from... Thanks for the Comment!
Mm good
Affordable???
Looking at that clasp, I smell Dexel!
Since when is almost 13mm thin? This is not thin. It should have been 100m wr and had it be 11mm or under. That's thin
It wears pretty thin, and the proportions feel right, I wouldn't want it any thinner tbh
@@shanephillips8735 that's you
Watch thickness? Is becoming an overblown concern. Now 13mm is too thick. Hilarious
@lonewolfemcquade8133 it's called common sense. This is a skin diver. 13mm not thin
