I get flashback with It Bye Bye Under Eye or Advanced Cosmetics concealer topped with LM Secret Brightening powder. Yet I need good coverage and a highlighting effect bc my circles are dark. I also tried to set with Tarte loose powder bc it's so finely milled but it made the area so crepey and orangey looking instead of bright. Suggestions? Thanks!

I've been using the graftobian orange color corrector for about 2 years now, it really is an essential step! I have terrible terrible dark circles that are hereditary.. Got em from my father..have had them all my life and seeing yours literally makes me jealous.. Mine are ridiculous.. I've been doing almost the exact routine you are for a few months now, it truly is just trial and error and eventually you master it after probably hundreds of products and ways of using and combining them. I'm going to try aiding in your final step with the Revlon photo ready powder tomorrow because I too find that there still is that hollow line look after I'm done.. Thank you st much fat this video because I can tell you this is the real way to cover dark circles to the best of makeups ability.. Your amazing!
Here's a technique that may help some of you. I have VERY dark circles, being Indian paired with a Kim K skin tone is terrible, my dark circles are hereditary but show up worse because of my fairer Indian skin, so trust me, my under eyes are dark! I use LA Girl concealer in "creamy beige", this is a few shades lighter than my skin, but turns the exact colour of my skin after setting. This concealer has pretty amazing coverage, my tip is to ONLY put it where needed, my darkness is in a sideways "C" under the eye, so i draw a sideways "C" and blend gently, i DON'T put concealer all the way up to the lash line because that will crease. It may feel odd not putting concealer there, but the setting powder will cover enough of the darkness at the lash line. Keep building the concealer ONLY in the dark areas, do not put it everywhere under the eye, especially don't do the "triangle method", this usually creases. I then use Ben Nye Banana powder, apply a lot of powder and let it sit for a few seconds, patting it thoroughly, so the concealer dries, you will see a lot of yellow powder, this method is called "baking", after a few seconds dust it away. You should be left with beautiful under eyes that don't crease :)
Carli, I dont think you sometimes know how many people you touch with your videos... a lot of the times I just spend time here on the comments and I read people's comments, they are so touching. +Elyse Murillo Thats very rude. Well if it bothers you, you can punch them in the face. No just kidding, don't do that, try apply a cold small spoon under your eyes and twist it a bit for a few minutes/apply something cold, it should help :) Origins anti puffery eye gel is great too.

NYX concealer jar in orange is impossible to find. :(

You dont need to use the orange corrector. Just make your own with concealer and pink or red lipstick. It works just as great and sometimes even better.

Sorry ladies! Didn't realize this one was discontinued. I used it bc it was super affordable. ANY bright orange/coral/salmon concealer will do. Orange just really works best in my opinion.

Haha believe it or not no your not when I finally get them covered sometimes I feel like I don't look like me and that it's too obvious that I've caked on the makeup so sometimes I don't completely conceal them I love makeup but if it's a day to day type thing I prefer a more natural look

carli my main problem is creasing and DRY undereyes! =/ what do you recommend?! I currently use the Nars radiant creamy concealor but in this harsh winter in upstate NY its not hydrating enough. I recently picked up a sample the bobbi brown under eye cream and the bobbi corrector because I have heard sooo many great things about the under eye cream and there was a bobbi brown rep at my Sephora today so she of course recommended their corrector above any brand, which I wanted to buy anyways so its ok i guess. But now that as i type this i see you use the bobbi brown concealor do you think it is worth the money? whats a cheaper alternative for it

I have the same problem and I live in Sweden so I know all about harsh winters. I've also listened to the Bobbi Brown rep at my local cosmetic store and got the corrector and the concealer. I never use the concealer for the under eye area because I use a cream corrector before my concealer. Too many cream products under the eyes makes the eyes look even more dry. Don't buy the Bobbi Brown concealer, just continue to use the Nars radiant concealer.
I think the Bobbi Brown corrector is okay but I don't think it's worth the money (I'm a person who usually prefers to invest in high end makeup btw). I've actually used the same orange corrector Carly is using by Nyx for many months now and I think it's better. Not only do you get WAAAAY more product compared too the tiny Bobbi Brown one but it also has a thinner consistency, it doesn't crease as much. Just make sure that you use a really good moisturizing eye cream before the corrector and a VERY thin layer of loose powder over the concealer.

To Rawaan93: Have you ever tried the under eye cream from Bobbi Brown? What do you recommend for dry under eyes. My face gets so dry that I actually get dry patches of skin in my under eye area. I have used the origins ginseng eye cream but when my skin is severely dry as it is now it slightly burns to apply that cream which I obviously discontinued using because its such a sensitive area and the burning sensation must mean noting good is coming from it
nellywellyful try using just almond oil or vitamin E oil while skin is just washed and damp so it absorbs I had dry under eyes from the makeup I use and constant wiping off mascara and stuff like that. I'm sensitive to creams and using witch hazel as a toner then an oil almond or E oil plus rose water and glycerin worked even my dark circles were less but unfortunately I have little crescents left and I can't seem to keep them covered for no more than a few hours.

I was wondering if you have ever considered going cruelty free with makeup? I feel like cosmetic companies are very secretive about their research and testing and a lot of companies aren't straightforward with the customer because I just recently found out that pretty much all my favorite brands test on animals :( huge brands like mac, loreal, benefit, Estée Lauder, revlon, and make up forever are some of the biggest animal testers in the market. I really feel this is an important issue that a lot of people don't know about and I feel like someone with as big of an outreach as you could help educate people on what exactly they are consuming and supporting with their dollar! I know you're a gorgeous person inside and out and I was just wondering if you have ever looked into it since makeup is such a big part of your life! Love you and your videos!
A lot of companies do really care about this issue and certify that none of their ingredients are tested and there is no third party testing. There are a lot of companies that do test but there are also many amazing lesser known companies that don't and I've found some really great products I never would have found otherwise. The thing is that animal testing is unnecessary and inconclusive on how each ingredient will affect a human. In vitro testing is a better alternative as well as many others. The hope is that if there is enough demand for animal testing to stop, companies will respond to that demand because as of now they have no reason to change their ways. The EU actually banned animal testing on all new products and if they can do it, there's no reason the US can't.

The translucent powder just did the magic touch, it made your undereyes look so flawless
when applying primer, concealer, foundation & powder, what do you do for it to not look so cakey
+Amanda Isbell Blend them out correctly and don't over apply product. Using a beauty blender helps absorb a lot of excess product as well so try using a DAMP one :)
Try using Mac fix+ a few sprays take away the Cakey look and leaves you with a beautiful dewy finish. Fix + also has many many uses Can be used as a setting spray , illuminates eye shadows pigments and it's extremely hydrating :)

DIY ORANGE CONCEALER; adding orange food coloring to your favorite concealer, just a FEW drops :D ( i know theres people going to ask if this is safe but people do it all the time, and food coloring is edible which makeup isnt so it cant be worse! makeup is very toxic, unfortunately :/ so point being dont worry aobut adding food coloring)

Love the technique, I always use eye cream, then I use Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage (orange), LA Girl Pro Conceal and Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder to set, this routine is the only thing that keeps my dark circles hidden all day!♥

I've been using the Tarte CC Under Eye Corrector and it works wonders for covering up my dark circles. I'll definitely start using an eye cream before applying makeup because I do notice that my eyes are pretty dry in the mornings!
your make up is beautiful but i feel like this video would've been more helpful if you had showed how you cover up before you put all the make up on. honestly when you took your under eye make up off it didn't look any different lol. just my opinion :)

Ok so I'm new to the makeup world (which you probably hear ten times a day!) But I just wanted to say I'm so glad I found your channel! Quick question... I have dry skin to begin with but can't seem to find any under eye creams that really moisturize. Do you have any cheaper alternatives than the Bobbi Brown one?! By the time I'm done with all these steps I look 10 years older from all the dryness!

You're so beautiful, positive, and talented and i really enjoy your videos! A few things i would really like to see are how to cover up extreme, hereditary dark circles. Dark circles that are really dark and you always have them run in my family and have always been something i am insecure about. Also, if you were to do a video with different mascara swatches that would be amazing. I always struggle with mascara, and recently purchase better than sex but i dont know if im in love with it anymore 😥

I love that orange concealer trick! I'm really excited to try it out because my under eye darkness can get pretty intense!
Awesome tutorial. I find the yellow concealer seems to work best for me. Might have to try the orange one just to see how well it works for me.
I have tried pink and peach correctors from Mac b4 and found that yellow works best for me.
As for the creasing part, a method that works for me after trying many products is a wrinkle filler that I apply b4 i apply the corrector. And that works great.
