Hi my loves! After reading all of your comments on my last video - I saw this video was highly requested!! Color correcting can be super confusing. I understand - believe me! But once you figure it out a light bulb goes off and you can just figure it out. I hope this video helps explain how to color correct your skin. We all deal with all kinds of - oh so fun - skin problems! When you find the right corrector it can really make your skin look perfect. So if you have never tried this - try it out and let me know what you think!! As I mentioned in this video .. I don't use most of these colors. For the video I demonstrated them just so you could see them in action. Plus to compare the drugstore vs high end! Don't over do it with the correctors, especially if you don't need them!! *As I mention in this video: Normally I don't use all of these colors on my face. On occasion I use the orange when my dark circles are bad! If you are lucky and you don't need any of these the color correcting steps! This is for the girls who want to correct certain parts of their skin. I hope this helps!!! XXO

In rooms with abundant ambience, distant microphones (like the ones built into cameras) pick up every echo along with your voice. Hopefully, your camera has a microphone jack on it. To make yourself sound closer and less distant, I'd suggest locating a small clip microphone with a wire long enough to plug into that jack. You can clip it to your top. Instead of the echoes, we'll be able to concentrate on your amazing tutorials.
You did a wonderful job explaining each color love! I'm sure the younger audience especially will understand this concept more. Love your crystal necklace!!

I just started colorcorrecting with the La Girl pro concealers and I wasn't seeing much difference with my dark circles and red areas on my face. But after watching this video, I saw what I was doing wrong and what corrections I need to make for better results. So I really appreciated this video and the tips. Thank you.

Just a tip for the echo, if you can't reduce by the environment try using plug-ins in the video editing software you use. If you use final cut pro to edit, then you can easily access the plug-ins the same way you add effects/filters/transitions. Plug-ins you can use for example are gain reduction/noise gate which cancels out any unnecessary sounds or maybe a compression plug-in but I would recommend the noise gate.

The point is, why put a bunch of colors on your face just to cover them up? Why not just cover up one color? It makes no sense. I neutralize models every day. This isn't concealing, concealing does not involve color, it involves skin toned concealer

Just an idea... But when my husband and I finished our basement we used 3m sound reduction mats to help eliminate the sounds and echoes of our young boys playing downstairs! An amazing product found at any hardware store or online off amazon!
also for lighter skin tones yellow does an amazing job concealing dark circles, for example benefit lemonade is a great choice or the L.A. girl yellow concealer

Idk if you have solved the audio problem, but have you tried connecting a DV Camcorder to your camera? It'll lessen the outside noise and will focus recording the audio to the front of the cam only.

In terms of the noise- you could look into those foam jigsaw pieces that people use for kids, dancers etc . They are super light and easy to pack away in a closet when you don't want them. Pop them on the floor and they will absorb the sound. Great work, I really enjoy your videos and your down to earth perspective :)

I have the NYX Color Corrector Palette and only used it once. I didn't really care for it. I think it's because I didn't use it correctly. I'll have to try it again. This video definitely helps me understand what each color is used for. Thanks for sharing Carli!

OH MY GOD. You are the answer to my prayers. I have dark undereye circles due to having deep set eyes (no matter how much water or sleep I get, they stubbornly stay), and I have been so frustrated trying to use yellow correcter and thought I was applying it the wrong way. Definitely going to try orange, pink and lavender to up my makeup game. Subscribed! :D

UA-cam is home made videos. The fact that it isn't perfect is the novelty of it. Small echos or a change in lighting half way tells a story about the video and individual creating the video. It gives it character.
