  • This is a true family classic. It was the Earth Year of 1994 and the Schwab Family and Freddie embarked on our greatest mission yet...outsmarting a Klingon Captain who had stolen a Federation ship...not for the faint of heart!

Dr McCoy has spent more time on the bridge than in sickbay. LOL.

My friends and I did this 'ride' back in the day. As I recall it took about 30-40 minutes to shoot. It was cheesy and a blast!

Was this the Florida version of the Universal Studios "Star Trek Adventure"? I remember the Hollywood version all too well (and my brief uncoached appearance that I wished I had the chance to do a second take of)

Bones was running the ship, even though dude left Chekov in command. And he didn't learn to immediately raise shields and go to red alert.

So many questions... Is this canon?

The laws of 'Canon' did not exist until DS9 come about. And I'm sure Gene Roddenberry and cast did not have to worry about triggered trek fanboys back then ...

    Still better writing than Discovery!

Are you actually a Star Trek fan? If all you can do is use this rare gem of footage as an excuse to take a swipe at Discovery then perhaps you need to reevaluate things in life ...

@@ahoang9069 Been a fan ever since I watched TOS reruns as a kid. I even have a VHS somewhere at my folks’ place of me and my friends doing this exact screen test at Universal when we were teenagers. Wrath of Khan is one of my all time favorite movies and I wish one of my friends happy birthday every year with quotes from it.
I’ve watched some of every Star Trek series, but they’re not equally good. Enterprise wasn’t great (which pains me to say as a Quantum Leap fan), and Discovery is simply the bottom of the barrel. And in case you think I just don’t like new stuff, I’ve been enjoying Strange New Worlds.

@@wootube Just because you don't like something doesn't mean others cannot or should not, nor does it make them any less of a fan than you.
I personally do not enjoy Discovery overall, but I will defend its right to exist along with any other Trek series past, present, or future. There is no caveat of "only the things I personally enjoy" in any of Star Trek's core principles. In fact... testing the limits of acceptance of the older generation is something Star Trek absolutely should do, as it serves as the litmus test of exactly how strongly we believe in what we preach, or if Star Trek is just escapist entertainment to us.
I'm not saying you must enjoy Discovery, as I said I don't enjoy it either. But badmouthing it just because of your own tastes is a conscious choice... and not a good one.
