Woah, fantastic build Anth, it's gorgeous! I'm not normally a huge fan of patterned ply but your cabinet dimensions work perfectly and suit it. Loving the base frame as well, great touch with that little rebate all the way around, I'm stealing that one! 😆

Very nice the pattern plywood does set a project off and I like how you let us see the pop when you add the stain. If we don’t hear from you before Christmas and a safe and amazing day and hope Santa pays you a visit

Love that 45-degree plywood clamping jig! Oh, and the tiny #chamferallthethings shadow line around the plywood edge... you didn't show cutting it, but it is a brilliant little detail. Top quality video and build mate. 👍👍

Thanks! As for the shadow line, yeah it's at 21:39 in the video. I used a dado stack to create a box around the panel to give it that feature. It's a concept I borrowed from Vic and I like how it works.

Great Video Anthony! Always great seeing fellow Aussies making stuff!
Question - Do you find the Selleys glue better for the ply glue-ups? I noticed that you were using Titebond at the end for the frames...

Honestly I don't perceive any difference between the two, it just so happened that I was ordering some stuff from Hammeroo and through I'd through a few bottles into cart. Don't get me wrong, it's good stuff and I like the applicator bottle better than the Selleys but as for difference in glue?.....yeah nah.

Nice work. What timber did you use for the carcase? Tassie Oak?

Great question. The original plan was indeed to use Tassie Oak correct...until I saw the price it was going to cost. I couldn't find rough sawn or panels in my area that made $$$ sense, so in the end what you see are Okoume panels from the green shed.
Each panel you see in the video was $22 each and I used 5 in this build. Compared to T/O it's probably a 1/3 of the cost in the end and since this was a smaller project with some experimentation going on, (especially with the pattern plywood) it was worth taking the chance on the timber.
In the end I have no regrets and I think it came out pretty nice.

@barberspaddockwoodworking that makes sense, timber prices are on the stupid side still.
