@Manuel Martinez Jason stathom is a certified official badass and I didn't really care for the transporter movies but when he came out with CRANK -2006 Is what got my attention and appeal & recognition for the actor or performer I should say.
I was due to meet Sid next month. Devastated that he has sadly passed away. He was and always will be a legend. He will be missed by many and their will never be another captain Spaulding. RIP Captain 💚
you can understand his value as you can see that captain spaulding and himself are completely two different people. This person is an experienced actor who knows his job well.. And he does it well.
That sounds like a seriously good idea!! I've thought about that before too! Rob Zombie seriously needs to do this before Sid Haig becomes too old to do the movie.
RussX5Z I heard Rob's working on 31, I think Sid may be in that? I'm not sure, but I want a prequel spin off with Sid as the Cap, just one more, it'll be a laugh I'm sure
Captain Spaulding stole the show. The gas station scene in the beginning was phenomenal. The very best part of the whole movie. Yes sir very masterful. The way he played with their heads was extremely tense. You were nervous for them guys right of the git go. Just wish the captain was in that movie more. Very scary character.
Spoke to him a couple of times Sid Haig is a lovely man who is quite easy to talk to and very friendly. Happily talked to me about this role in Spider Baby one of my fav. Movies . Jokingly said I wasn't old enough to know the movie. True I'm 43 but l love that and house of 1000 corpses and devils rejects. He had a laugh at my captain Spaulding tshirt that a artist friend made and then signed it. Sweet old guy can't believe he's 77.
Its always nice seeing the people who play psychopaths who completely disregard human life on film and seeing their true selves as honest creative and hardworking people
I think it’s because people who play bad guys have less ego because they’re playing the guy audiences hate. Whereas protagonist actors theme to be more likely to be egotistical since they’ll always look like a hero and will be loved by audiences
He started way earlier than that. He's been in the business since the 1950's. He first played drums in a band before acting. I think the name of the band was the T Birds
Haig is awesome. I would really like to see him more in different roles. He is talented and smart. And respectful towards the profession, which is really important imo.
Sid is an extremely underrated actor in my opinion! His characters pop off the screen, I hope he continues to do more great work in the future and I can’t wait for 3 From Hell! 💀😈🙌🏼🔥
I love that the guys in the Firefly clan are so approachable, Sid and Bill and Sheri, Sheri's just a delight to talk to. That's a great thing of the horror genre. Nice, down to earth people... who likes blood and guts :D
Sheri Moon seems like the sweetest lady, and as we can see here, Sid was an intelligent, humble dude. He has the demeanor of an educator, in the best kind of way.
Most people rmemeber him as Captain Spaulding, I remember him as Sid Haig. I grew up on movies and shows featuring him, and no matter what he always stuck out to me. I looked to my father one day while watching an old black-and-white film, and I asked my father "Daddy, who is that?" And my father says "Ooooh, That's Sid Haig, one of the best actors of all time!" And I was in love with every performance he took part of ever since.
Sid Haig is THE MAN.....very cool...very real.....and does all the kinda shit i love. I met him at a convention and he was super cool, even though i think i interrupted his lunch. And after we talked for a sec, he autographed a Devils Rejects poster and gave it to me, before the movie had even been released.
IF they ever get round to doing a remake of Stephen King's 'IT' he would be the perfect pennywise. Quality actor, one of the few who could do as good a job as Tim curry did
Its weird that the new Pennywise actor (who did a good job in the movie) is actually young and good looking. Bill Skarsgard was probably an unlikely choice when this comment was made.
