I loved watching this and I can see why you enjoy it so much. My favourite part is your scary Airport.
Takeoff and landing at the TOM International Airport is going to be truly terrifying as those taking off pray the airplane clears the huge tower blocks just past the car park at the end of the runway, or during landing that the plane doesn't dip and slam right into the buildings.
I cannot get enough of Megacity Tom. This is somehow more satisfying than any citybuilder you've played.
that's because all my citie's population dies from traffic jams.

The backwards end is so they turn back instead of hitting the towers. It's all very well thought out.

You forgot how the trains only have one entrance or exit. If the keep going they will literally hit the towers

The editing work on this is just *chefs kiss*. Appropriate sound effects, the plane taking off, the super chill background music that isn't too intrusive. Good work.

I need more Tom Hobbying in my life..... this and the painting/general warhammer stuff back when that...existed...on games night are my absolute jam....
I am 100% ready for more tiny Megacity Tom to be _so dense._
Tom could do a massive superchill series of him painting the buildings, although they might be a bit small for that.
For the smaller buildings, some simple color blocking using some muted colors could do a lot.
Yeah, not my forte so I'm missing the word. But some paint meant to emphasize detail rather painting in the detail.
Could look really good, but would be a long process. And it's Tom's city of course.

painting with a brush in 1/2500 scale is hard, but he could paint the planes and panel line the buildings
I actually absolutely loved that it’s not painted. The color pallet is amazing. Towers colored, small lads white and colors for parks and other specific things.
Lets put the chem plant right next to a river and a playground.

When I was a kid, my mom used to take me to a playground that lead onto a runway. It was about 300 feet away and there was an observation deck.
Imagine in that city there is a guy building his own Megacity Tom.

Yes! I love it! The ambiance and little editing touches are choice! The explanatory as-it-occurs narration is also very fun.
I can think of only one word to describe this entire experience, the city, the fact that this sort of miniature models exist, and how it makes me feel watching this: Lovely.

I just thought everybody should know: The geocraper guys also make models designed to be chipped away at with a pair of nippers to create a postapocalyptic feeling with broken buildings.
Just throwing that out there.

10:25 Now I’m happy. Trains are essential! They were once the quickest way to get around, so it makes me happy that there is now a Megacity Tom train station. Ima call the railroad, MTRR (Megacity Tom Railroad)
Oh... I saw this was 3 years old, so I found the playlist expecting the city to be huge by now....this could cover a full wall or ceiling to save space if you went crazy with it.
i wish someone would make this model as a toy, creating your own city, cars, houses, skyscrapers, buildings, highways, roads, all in your hands and just glue them out
I love it! But the Tomodashi Castle's scale is very odd. Otherwise, amazing!
I was about to say, that'd be an insanely intimidating building, dwarfing apartment complexes and stuff.

13:04 Uh-oh, that skyscraper in the distance doesn't seem to be long for this world. It's foundations are a bit wonkers, or perhaps one of the trains had a high-speed collision with it, setting it askew.
This is actually amazing. At first I thought this was going to be ridiculous, but hooked the more it went on.
I thoroughly enjoyed my holiday visiting Megacity Tom. The hotel where we stayed was a bit noisy from all the planes landing. The tour guide who took us around oldtown said his ancestors are buried in Tomodashi castle. The roads were a bit confusing to navigate and we ended up back near the portside. Apparently somebody called the "Megacity pusher" has been pushing people into the river. I hope they catch him soon.

I love that the fanciest hotel in the city is placed right where arriving and departing planes would fly over it.
Interesting fact: a lot of ancient Chinese castles were designed to be earthquake proof.

A good examle is that none of them are destroyed in earthquakes, which can be devastating in China, e.g tangshan earthquake in 1976

5 months Tom! Course I imagine this was taken apart, and then rebuilt; since the most bottom corner piece is not facing the same way! However I'm glad its back!!

7:53 Tom, you're utterly, terribly evil. Now people trying to find parking spaces in their apartment car-park are going to be competing against people who are going to the airport. You'll probably never find a spot, let alone a good spot, and no-one is going to obey any reserved-parking signs.

Tomodachi Castle is a really clever name, I live for it.
If you revisit this idea again I think it could be interesting to place some of the tiles overlapping two bases instead of just one. It could break up the some of the sameness of multiple pieces next to each other.
