15s sonic screwdriver does remind me alot of the Sonic Lance that the sixth Doctor used in the Story Attack of the Cybermen, ive really grown to like this new design and i hope people will too one day hopefully!
I totally get it! I actually mentioned in the video that it could have been called a Sonic Lance, given its different style and design. I’m glad to hear it's growing on you dude! 😊
I also wish they could have afforded to lose the brand recognition of calling it a sonic screwdriver. It's more like a multitool or a penknife, and intentionally going with that as a design was a very cool choice that I don't think got the appreciation it deserved at first precisely because people expected another wand.
@@Madman13K I completely agree! They definitely went for more of a multitool vibe, and while it’s a cool and functional design choice, the "Sonic Screwdriver" name does come with certain expectations. If they had gone with something like "Sonic Tool" or even "Sonic Probe," I think the design might’ve gotten the appreciation it deserves from the start. Hopefully over time people will come around to it! Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
As one of the three people who absolutely loved this design since we first saw it, I'm so glad to see that Character Options really went above and beyond with this replica! Genuinely can't wait to pick one of these up in September !
It’s great to hear from a fellow fan of the design! Character Options really did a fantastic job bringing it to life, didn’t they? I can already tell you’re going to love it when September rolls around. Thanks for watching man! 😄
It took a little bit but eventually it grew on me. I like this sonic, it has various bits that make it stand out like the proverb, etc. I honestly don’t really care about not looking like the usual Sonics because despite the barring the name screwdriver we can count on one hand how man times it has been used as an actual screwdriver. In my opinion the sonic screwdriver is an alien Swiss Army knife, does need much thought beyond doing its job.
It’s great to hear that it’s grown on you! This Sonic definitely has some standout features, I’m a fan of the power crystal and the slide-out analyser myself. And you’re right, the Sonic Screwdriver really is like an alien Swiss Army knife; I think Thirteen even called it a “Swiss Army Sonic” at one point! 😄 Ultimately, as long as it gets the job done, that’s what matters. Thanks for watching, mate! 😊
I’d personally love that, especially a Pink variant, haha! There’s also a Green variant shown in the concept artwork from Doctor Who Unleashed, so if that makes an appearance next season, it would be awesome. If Character Options expands the colour range, I’d be thrilled to see all the different versions released. You can never have too many Sonic Screwdrivers, right? aha Thanks for watching man 😄😉
The pop-out emitter and the slide-out analyser features are great! It’s awesome to see how Character Options have packed in so many cool details. Definitely one of the best Sonic Screwdriver toys with lots of surprises! Thanks for watching 😄
Mega jealous of your collection, very nice review! Thank you, this is the only well detailed review I could find and I love your channel, so thanks again for this great video mate 😊
Im sadly not on board with this design.. it just doesn’t look like it deserves the title of the sonic screwdriver.. though I just wanna say I love how interactive you are in the comment section!! I’m still waiting for my Grey Aztec 10th sonic screwdriver from Littleshopprops.. apparently they’re still in their production stage so still a bit of a wait before they’re shipped🥲
I get where you’re coming from man, this design isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. But I really appreciate your kind words about the comment section! I love interacting with everyone here. 😁 As for your Tenth Doctor Grey Aztec Sonic Screwdriver, one thing about Little Shop Props is that the wait can be long, but when it finally arrives, it’ll be worth every second. Their Sonic Screwdrivers are always top-notch, and I’m sure you’ll absolutely love it once you get your hands on it! The Grey Aztecs are just fantastic! Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!
Same man... i mean its cool, but i hate that its a "sonic screwdriver". If they had made it a swiss army remote typa thing or just stick with the normal sonic screwdriver id be ok with it.
Haha, I love that! With all the scanning tools and features packed into this design, "Sonic Magnifying Glass" sounds pretty spot-on! 😂 It definitely feels like more of a multi-tool than ever before. Thanks for the laugh and for watching! 😄🔍
Ah, yeah I remember that! It’s a shame Little Shop Props doesn’t sell their's anymore. The TCE would’ve made such a cool addition to the toy lineup, Character Options definitely missed a trick there! I’d be all over it if they ever decided to release one. 😂
@@keru80101 That would be great! If the next Master has another unique weapon, it would be fantastic to see Character Options create a toy version of it, just like they did with the Laser Screwdriver. They’ve done an amazing job with the recent releases, so here’s hoping it’ll happen one day 🤞
Honestly I genuinely don’t even mind that it’s still called a “Sonic Screwdriver” because honestly it is a fictional tool, and does look like something from the Pertwee era, so I’m all for a sonic screwdriver that actually looks different to an earth screwdriver because like why would an alien device look so similar?
That’s a great point! It’s a fictional tool from another planet, so it doesn’t need to resemble the shape of a screwdriver from Earth. As a Sonic collector, it does feel like a bit of a missed opportunity not to give it a new name, especially since we’ve seen so many different Sonic devices in the show before. With such a unique design, they could have called it something else this time. But at the end of the day, I love a good Sonic Screwdriver that stands out, and this one definitely does that! 😄 Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts man!
If you click the main button 20 times, you'll be able to activate a hidden feature! (I'll just say it's 2 sounds we haven't heard in a while from the sonic screwdriver toy lineup in awhile!)
@@DalekPratt1963 Yeah my friend told me about it right after I finished the video aha I was gutted I missed it! The red setting with the Masters Laser sound effects right? 😂🤣
@@SameSonicDifferentCaseCorrect! I was so happy to hear those sound effects again after a long while! I’m just hoping I can get my hands on one of the screwdrivers when they release online before the scalpers get to them!
@@DalekPratt1963 I know right? Those Laser sounds really hit the nostalgia button aha. I hope you manage to get one dude! Fingers crossed Character have made enough stock to go around this time. 🤞🏼
@@SameSonicDifferentCase One thing I am wondering though is what the sounds could mean... I wonder if it's a teaser to what's coming? Perhaps, _the drums..._
@@DalekPratt1963 That’s a great point! The sounds could definitely hint at something interesting coming up, perhaps teasing a future plot or new storylines. It’s also possible they’re a nod to Character Options potentially re-releasing the Master’s Laser Screwdriver! It’s always exciting to speculate on these details! 😁
This looks amazing! Just happened upon your video and I found myself happily enjoying myself, as one those that just love this new screwdriver design I will definitely pick this up when I can
Thank you so much! I’m really glad you enjoyed the video and that you’re loving the new Sonic Screwdriver design too. It’s awesome to hear that you’re planning to pick one up, I think you’ll really enjoy it! Thanks for watching and sharing your enthusiasm! 😄
The toy looks good and I like the redesign. One problem with the traditional cylindrical design was that is was beginning to get weilded like a magic wand a little too often, rather than a universal tech interface that it better suits and this new design works well for that.
Yes, Character have really outdone themselves with this one! Yeah like you say the traditional Sonic Screwdrivers did sometimes feel a bit wand-like, especially with some actors wielding them like literal magic wands! 😂 This new design definitely leans more towards a high-tech interface. I still think calling it a Sonic Probe, Sonic Remote, or Sonic Device might have fit the concept a bit better, but I’m getting used to calling it a Sonic Screwdriver. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts, man! 😄
Another brilliant review!!❤❤it! Adore your passion!👍🔥 As ever, really in-depth…very impressive! Great to see packaging comparisons! Great advice, re. eBay scalpers!! Waiting for September 🤞to get mine. I totally get not being able to wait till the UK release🙂 Thanks again for your videos, ❤ ‘em! James
Thanks so much, James! I’m glad you enjoyed the video! It’s definitely worth the wait, honestly! September isn’t too far away now and hopefully, we’ll get a release date soon enough! Your continued support really means a lot. I’m looking forward to hearing what you think of the new Sonic Screwdriver when you get yours man! Thanks for watching, mate! 🤘
That would be fantastic! This Sonic Screwdriver already has a design that screams "remote control," so a universal remote version would be a perfect fit. The Wand Company could definitely make one, but since they haven’t produced Doctor Who products in years, they might not hold the license anymore. Fingers crossed though! 🤞
Glad to hear you think so! This Sonic Screwdriver definitely has a unique design that stands out. It’s great to hear you’re liking it! Thanks for checking out the video! 😄
I hear you! The design is definitely a departure from what we’re used to, but it’s cool to see something unique. And haha, yeah, definitely not as controversial as Thirteen’s Sonic! 😄 It’ll be interesting to see how it grows on us over time. Thanks for watching man!
I totally get where you're coming from! In the video, I mentioned that calling it something like a ‘Sonic Probe’ or ‘Sonic Lance’ might have suited its unique design better. We've seen various Sonic devices with creative names, so a new name could have made more sense. As a Sonic device, it definitely works well, but as a Sonic Screwdriver, it's still growing on me, haha! Thanks for watching! 👍
@@DatCartoonistGuy They’re definitely real! I missed them in my original review, but I'll be making a UA-cam Short to show them off soon. There are also a few other videos out there that highlight the hidden features. To activate them, press the button 14 times and hold on the 14th press while sliding out the analyser. The Sonic Screwdriver will beep then, when you slide the analyser back in, the power crystal will change to green, and you’ll unlock the red setting with a laser sound effect. Press the button twice, and it lights up orange with the ageing sound effect, both sounds are from the Master’s Laser Screwdriver! To return to normal mode, press the button 20 times and hold on the 20th press, and the crystal will change back to the standard purple.
@@SameSonicDifferentCase Neat! Man, I hope the September release has it! (Considering what they did with 14's sonic, I honestly doubt it, but a guy can dream!)
With all the scanning features packed into this design, "Sonic Scanner" would have been a pretty fitting name. It definitely feels like more than just a traditional Sonic Screwdriver! Thanks for watching 😊
I completely agree! Sonic Lance would really suit this design, especially since a lance could take on various shapes, while a screwdriver usually brings to mind a more cylindrical shape. The Sixth Doctor had a Sonic Lance instead of a Sonic Screwdriver, so it would have been really cool to see it make a return. Thanks for watching and commenting! 😎
@@SameSonicDifferentCase although, If I had to design a sonic screwdriver, I’d design it after the transformation device used by Ultraman Cosmos , the Cosmos Pluck, because it really looks like a sonic screwdriver and, I would add 2 interchangeable emitters , a blue one to give the sonic the ability to hack any device such a as an IPhone and a Purple one which is technically the blue one but it also brings back the sonic hypnosis abilities( which hasn’t been around since the 3rd doctor’s era)
@@Laserraiser56 That sounds like an awesome design idea! I just looked it up, and it would definitely make for a futuristic looking Sonic Screwdriver. Adding interchangeable emitters with different abilities, with hypnosis, would be a fantastic way to bring back some of those classic features we haven’t seen in a while. It would be cool to see something like that in the show one day! Thanks for sharing your thoughts man! 🤘
@@Laserraiser56I didn’t even think of that In fact I don’t think it’s the only Ultraman transformation devices could work as a Sonic Screwdriver The Bright Stick from 80 could also work, with the extending being for some other setting
I hope for season 2 they make a black sonic screwdriver or white version or a light Ice Blue even tho ive seen this review i still like this screwdriver keep pushing through buddy! 👊
That sounds cool! I just love the idea of them expanding the colour range each season 😄. I’m glad you’re still enjoying the video, even after watching it before. Thanks so much for the support, man! 😄
I have to say, I didn't like it at first, it's grown on me now though and it really works with 15! I do however hope this is sort of a one-off and that the next doctors return to the normal shape that I personally prefer :)
Yeah, I can definitely see the resemblance, it’s giving off pure remote control vibes! 😂 It’s a unique design, but it seems to be slowly growing on a lot of people. Thanks for watching mate! 😄
I will admit this design has grown on me since it was revealed, it does feel more like a high tech Multitool than the traditional Sonic Screwdriver design but like you I just wish it wasn’t called a Screwdriver.
It was a Forbidden Planet exclusive that came out a few months back. I actually took a look at it in the video before last, so feel free to check that out if you’re interested! @@SameSonicDifferentCaseThere should be a gaming mouse in the shape of Ncuti’s Sonic Screwdriver, complete with RGB lights. Come on, Character Options, make it happen!!
I don't like it much as a sonic screwdriver, but holy moly is it a gorgeous looking piece of kit. It's growing on me as a screwdriver but damn, it just looks gorgeous. Definitely going to try picking up this deluxe one, literally put money aside this month to try and get it as soon as it releases
I totally get what you mean! It’s so different from the usual style of Sonic Screwdrivers, but yeah you can’t deny it’s a gorgeous piece of Time Lord tech! It really does grow on you, especially once you have it in hand! Like I mentioned in the video, it might have been better named something like a Sonic Probe or Sonic Lance just something other than Screwdriver to better match this design. I think you’re going to love it, the deluxe edition is fantastic and probably some of Character Options' best work. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and for watching! 😎
@@SameSonicDifferentCase definitely, I'm following their socials so I know when it releases. Hopefully they made enough for the release unlike 14's 😅 Really looking forward to getting my hands on this absolutely stunning piece. Plus I recently found out about the hidden lights and sounds. Pressing the activation button 15 times turns the main lights red and the crystal green and it plays the laser screwdriver sounds with either a single or double press. It's a weird way to activate the hidden sounds but it's more convenient than removing a part and holding 2 separate buttons 😂
Is the one off Forbidden Planet the same? It doesn’t look electro-plated and it doesn’t say deluxe. I’ve seen sources that say this special edition would be available in September though.
There’s two versions on the way! This Deluxe version is set to be released on September 24th exclusively on the Character Options website, while the standard version is currently available for pre-order from other retailers like Forbidden Planet and is expected to start shipping around October 7th. I’ll be doing a review of the standard edition once I have it 😁
I totally get that man! This Sonic Screwdriver design isn’t for everyone, but maybe it’ll grow on you 😉 Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts! 😊
Looks like we’re having a bit of déjà vu, aha no worries. I bought some 5/32" (3.97mm) aluminum tubing, cut it into sections the same length as the standard plunger arms. Then I fitted the tube into the ball joint and placed the standard sucker arm inside the end of the tube, so it can slide up and down. Hope this helps (again)! Thanks for watching mate 😉
When the retail version comes out I’m looking to paint it yellow - what paint and any tips on how to do this please - I’ve seen how good your customs are thought you’ll be the best person
Great question! I’m not entirely sure yet, but I expect the standard version will have the same basic functions, minus the electro-plated finish and the secret features of the deluxe edition. Once I get the standard version, I’ll do another video comparing the two. Thanks for watching! 😎
I like it! Given the design and the various features packed into this Sonic Screwdriver, “Sonic Interface” does seem like a fitting name. It definitely has a high-tech, multifunctional vibe to it. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! 😎
I got it from eBay! It’s an acrylic pocket watch holder so not the best stand, but I had a few lying around from displaying my pocket watches and it does the job for now. Thanks for watching! 😎
I know, right? It would be awesome if The Wand Company made a remote version, but they haven’t released a Sonic Screwdriver since 2014. They probably don’t hold the license to make Doctor Who merchandise anymore, which is a shame. Fingers crossed something changes in the future, though! 🤞
The Deluxe Edition is still plastic, but it does have that nice electo-paint that gives it a sort of metallic finish look. There aren't any die-cast metal parts on this one, but the detailing and build quality is fantastic, definitely feels solid in hand! 😄
Haha, Sonic Swiss Army knife sounds about right! I think Thirteen even called hers a “Swiss Army Sonic” at one point! With all the different modes and features this one has, it definitely fits the description. Thanks for watching and for the comment! 😉
@@darrenkeady6570 It really depends on where you’ve ordered from and how much you paid. There are two versions on the way! The Deluxe version featured in this video is set to be released on September 24th exclusively through the Character Options website, and it’s not yet officially available for pre-order. Meanwhile, the standard version is currently available for pre-order from retailers like Forbidden Planet and The Who Shop, with shipping expected to start around October 7th. So, if you’ve pre-ordered from a retailer, you’ve likely ordered the standard edition. If you think you’ve pre-ordered this Deluxe edition from anywhere other than the Character Options website, you’ve most likely overpaid.
@@darrenkeady6570 Ah, I see. Well the first 1000 Deluxe editions were sold at San Diego Comic-Con back in July. Some attendees listed them on eBay for around £100 or more, which is where I got mine. These sellers mentioned in their listings that they had the Sonic Screwdriver in hand and were ready to ship immediately. At the same time, other sellers began listing pre-orders on eBay, knowing that the official release would soon follow the Comic-Con launch, similar to last year’s Fourteenth Doctor Sonic Screwdriver. These pre-order listings usually say that stock will ship in September, with prices starting around £99.99 or more. However, in reality these sellers are just waiting for the official release to buy a bunch of them from the Character Options website, where the price will likely be less than half of what they’re charging. They’ll then ship those to the people who bought their pre-orders on eBay, making a profit on each sale. Now that the standard edition has been announced and is available for pre-order from various retailers, that too is popping up on eBay at inflated prices. So, you’ll see both the Deluxe and Standard editions on eBay, with many sellers charging significantly more than the retail prices. After Comic-Con, the leftover stock from the initial 1000 Deluxe editions was listed on the BBC Store America, though they were only available for U.S. shipping, and sold out within a few days. The official UK release is scheduled for this Tuesday on the Character Options website (www.character-online.com). Based on the standard edition’s price of £24.99, I’d estimate the Deluxe version will be around £35-£40, but that’s just a rough guess. If it’s been over 40 days since you placed your eBay order, you might want to open a case with eBay to request a refund. After that, you can order one directly from Character Options on Tuesday when it officially goes on sale. Hope this helps! 😎
I can definitely see the Spy Kids comparison with this Sonic Screwdriver’s unique look! Even if you’re not a Doctor Who fan, it’s cool to see how different people interpret these designs. Thanks for checking out the video! 😁
Yeah, that’s a cool feature! I’m bummed I missed it in the review. Someone actually pointed it out right away in the comments after I uploaded the video aha! I’ll be making a UA-cam Short to show it off soon. After playing around with it a bit more, I realized it’s 14 presses to activate the feature and 15 to go back to normal settings. 😎
Haha, I get the computer mouse vibe! Actually, the original plan was for the Fifteenth Doctor to inherit the Fourteenth Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver, but Russell T Davies changed his mind last minute, saying, "I think it's quite important for the new Doctor to have a new Sonic." When he saw the early designs, he said, "They just look like sonics, it's not different enough," which eventually led to this unique look. They definitely went for something different aha! @@malak900 I get where you’re coming from man licensed merchandise can be pricey, which makes it tough for everyone to get their hands on it. It was $50 at Comic-Con and is selling for the same on the BBC Store in the US, so hopefully, it’ll be around £40 in the UK. That’s still a bit high for a toy, but this deluxe edition is packed with features and seems aimed more at collectors. With all the different Sonic devices we seen over the years, it feels like a missed opportunity to introduce a fresh name that really captures this look. I absolutely hate the 15th doctors screwdriver. Every other sonic screwdriver in the show follows one rule, rod shaped. The 15th doctors screwdriver is a disk. Why? I don't understand. every other sonic screwdriver has one (or 2) buttons (or a slider) but this sonic screwdriver looks like a TV remote with how many buttons it has. That's just my opinion on the prop though, the toy has nothing to do with it
I totally understand where you're coming from, dude! In the video, I mentioned that it might have been more fitting to call it something like a ‘Sonic Probe’ or ‘Sonic Lance,’ given its unique shape and design. We’ve seen various Sonic devices with unique names before, like the Sonic Pen and Sonic Trowel, so a new name for this one could have been a fun twist. As a Sonic device, I think it works well, but as a Sonic Screwdriver, it’s still growing on me, aha!
I just lost my TV remote, this looks like a pretty nice replacement!
If it had TV controls built in, then I’d say it’s a win-win! 😂

Can't wait for the September release, would love to have the Pink and Yellow Variants made at some point, the Yellow especially

I get where you’re coming from man, this design isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. But I really appreciate your kind words about the comment section! I love interacting with everyone here. 😁
As for your Tenth Doctor Grey Aztec Sonic Screwdriver, one thing about Little Shop Props is that the wait can be long, but when it finally arrives, it’ll be worth every second. Their Sonic Screwdrivers are always top-notch, and I’m sure you’ll absolutely love it once you get your hands on it! The Grey Aztecs are just fantastic! Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!
@@SameSonicDifferentCase love ya brother!! Love your work✊
Same man... i mean its cool, but i hate that its a "sonic screwdriver". If they had made it a swiss army remote typa thing or just stick with the normal sonic screwdriver id be ok with it.
Personally, with how many scanning tools and such it has, I'd be willing to call it a Sonic Magnifying Glass, lmao.
Haha, I love that! With all the scanning tools and features packed into this design, "Sonic Magnifying Glass" sounds pretty spot-on! 😂 It definitely feels like more of a multi-tool than ever before. Thanks for the laugh and for watching! 😄🔍
I wish they made a toy of the Spy Masters TCE
Ah, yeah I remember that! It’s a shame Little Shop Props doesn’t sell their's anymore. The TCE would’ve made such a cool addition to the toy lineup, Character Options definitely missed a trick there! I’d be all over it if they ever decided to release one. 😂
@@SameSonicDifferentCase Maybe they make of toy of whatever weapon the next Master has in a few years
@@keru80101 That would be great!

I totally get where you're coming from! In the video, I mentioned that calling it something like a ‘Sonic Probe’ or ‘Sonic Lance’ might have suited its unique design better. We've seen various Sonic devices with creative names, so a new name could have made more sense.

@@SameSonicDifferentCase Neat! Man, I hope the September release has it!
(Considering what they did with 14's sonic, I honestly doubt it, but a guy can dream!)
I’ve said since day one that they should’ve called this a Sonic Scanner
With all the scanning features packed into this design, "Sonic Scanner" would have been a pretty fitting name. It definitely feels like more than just a traditional Sonic Screwdriver! Thanks for watching 😊
I'm still calling it a Sonic remote!
I don’t blame you man! This design screams Sonic Remote, definitely feels like a fitting name. 😂
@@SameSonicDifferentCase Yeah
I think this would be more in the lines of a sonic lance than a screwdriver
@@SameSonicDifferentCase definitely, I'm following their socials so I know when it releases. Hopefully they made enough for the release unlike 14's 😅
Really looking forward to getting my hands on this absolutely stunning piece. Plus I recently found out about the hidden lights and sounds. Is the one off Forbidden Planet the same? It doesn’t look electro-plated and it doesn’t say deluxe.
I’ve seen sources that say this special edition would be available in September though.
There’s two versions on the way! For most of your Daleks how did you get those custom plungers?
Looks like we’re having a bit of déjà vu, aha no worries. I bought some 5/32" (3.97mm) aluminum tubing, cut it into sections the same length as the standard plunger arms. Then I fitted the tube into the ball joint and placed the standard sucker arm inside the end of the tube, so it can slide up and down. Hope this helps (again)! Thanks for watching mate 😉

ngl, i think it is more a sonic remote XD but i still like it!
where did you get the stand for it?
I got it from eBay! It’s an acrylic pocket watch holder so not the best stand, but I had a few lying around from displaying my pocket watches and it does the job for now. Thanks for watching! 😎
When will the wand company do this?
I know, right? It would be awesome if The Wand Company made a remote version, but they haven’t released a Sonic Screwdriver since 2014. They probably don’t hold the license to make Doctor Who merchandise anymore, which is a shame. Fingers crossed something changes in the future, though! 🤞
Are these deluxe ones die cast metal or are they all plastic? I'm assuming plastic
The Deluxe Edition is still plastic, but it does have that nice electo-paint that gives it a sort of metallic finish look. There aren't any die-cast metal parts on this one, but the detailing and build quality is fantastic, definitely feels solid in hand! 😄
Sonic Swiss Army knife. 😂

Meanwhile, the standard version is currently available for pre-order from retailers like Forbidden Planet and The Who Shop, with shipping expected to start around October 7th. @@SameSonicDifferentCase . Mine was the deluxe version. I got it off eBay and it cost me £99.99.
@@darrenkeady6570
Ah, I see.

@@zigzagzarf Haha, gotta love those Ray Bans, especially when they double as a Sonic! 😎 Thanks for the comment!
jesus
Haha yeah, it’s definitely something, isn’t it? 😅 Thanks for checking out the video!
@@SameSonicDifferentCase always great videos! yeah, this one is definitely a unique sonic lol
@@BennieDuck Thanks so much, I really appreciate that! Yeah this one definitely stands out, especially when it’s alongside the others, aha. 😁
nono colour changing :(
I actually missed them during my review, but the Sonic Screwdriver can change colours! If you press the button 14 times and hold it on the 14th press while sliding out the analyzer, the power crystal changes from purple to green, and you unlock the red setting with a laser sound effect. Press the button twice more, and it lights up orange with the aging sound effect, both of which are from the Master’s Laser Screwdriver. I'll be posting a Short showing a quick demo later on 😎
I just ordered mine from c.o. this morning looking forward to getting it
That’s awesome! You’re going to love it, it's such a cool piece of kit. Thanks for watching, and enjoy your new Sonic! 😁
@SameSonicDifferentCase thanks I also have a good collection of other sonics so it'll fit in perfectly with the others
@@tomcanas3822 That’s fantastic! It’ll definitely be a great addition to your collection. There’s something special about seeing all the different Sonics together. Let me know what you think when it arrives! Thanks again for watching 😀
It doesn’t even look like a sonic screwdriver
I completely agree! A name like Sonic Probe or Sonic Lance might have suited it better given its unique design. With all the different Sonic devices we seen over the years, it feels like a missed opportunity to introduce a fresh name that really captures this look. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, and for watching! 🤘
I think it definitely fits Ncuti Gatwa’s Doctor in its own way, even though it’s different from what we’re used to. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts, man! 😊
@@SameSonicDifferentCase I agree, it is totally a neat device, but the name is just not fitting, if they did call it like a sonic probe or something it would work a lot better. and after watching the entirety of the video and seeing all the features, it is starting to grow on me. It just seems odd calling it a screwdriver. And thanks for responding to my take on the screwdriver! :)
@@DanGame427 I'm really glad the video helped it grow on you a bit! Yeah, I totally get where you’re coming from, man. It definitely feels more like a new kind of Sonic device than a traditional screwdriver, for sure. A name like ‘Sonic Probe’ would have been great. But hey, it’s exciting to see how it evolves with the Doctor, right? 🤣 Thanks again for watching, dude!
Unless you're gonna tell us that you have shaky hands, medically, then please *_HOLD IT STILL & STOP SHAKING IT AROUND!!_* 😠😡🤬
Wow I’m really sorry that upset you so much-haha! How’s 14:22? Is that steady enough for you? 😂 🤣
@@SameSonicDifferentCase HAHAHA LMAO, ok yeah, that tickled me 😆😂🤣
Ok… Forgiven 😆😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@NostalgiaBrit Haha, I’m glad we could have a laugh about it! Honestly, I’m not sure why I’m so shaky, probably just nerves about messing up the video and having to start over, or maybe I do have a hidden medical condition, haha! 😂Either way, I’ll try to keep it a bit more steady in the next video, but it’s not the first time it’s happened! 🤣 Thanks for watching anyway! 😆😅
@@SameSonicDifferentCase had it been a while, when you filmed the video, since you’d last eaten? A low blood sugar, combined with nerves, could’ve conspired to make your hands shake…
But, just to show the love, more than watching, I’ve also just subscribed, too 🥰❤️
@@NostalgiaBrit Thanks so much for subscribing and for the support! 😄You’re probably right, I hadn’t eaten for a while, and it was pretty late when I filmed this, so I was probably running on empty aha. I’ll keep that in mind for future videos. Really appreciate your understanding and the kind words! 🥰
What the fuck is that thing?!
Haha, I get it yeah it’s definitely different from what we’re used to! The new design is quite unique and has sparked a lot of mixed reactions. I think it's trying to bring a fresh twist to the classic Sonic Screwdriver, but I think it'd be more acceptable it was called somthing like a Sonic Probe and not a Screwdriver! Thanks for checking out the video and sharing your thoughts! 😎
@@SameSonicDifferentCase Pfft. Sonic Nokia lol
Go 7:30
For the actual screwdriver
Why do people think we care about the box?
Fair enough! I like to cover the packaging for those who are interested in every detail, but I totally get if you’re just here for the Sonic Screwdriver itself. That’s why I include timestamps for each part of the video. Thanks for watching!
that looks pretty awkward to hold lol
in folded mode
I get what you mean! The design can look a bit awkward in folded mode, but it’s actually not too uncomfortable once you get used to it. It’s all about how you hold it. When it’s in open mode, gripping it like a remote control or phone feels pretty natural. In closed mode, it feels a bit like holding a computer mouse upside down, but I wouldn’t say it’s uncomfortable...just different aha. Thanks for watching man! 😄
I call it a sonic shoe cause it's shaped like a shoe😂😂😂😂LOL!!!!!!!
Haha, that’s a great name! I can definitely see the resemblance, it really does have a bit of a shoe shape to it! 😂 Thanks for sharing that, and for watching!
