Looking good! I started with those Home Depot lights years ago, but ended up replacing them all with modern LED strip lights. The kind that come in a long flat roll.
They're easy to install, they are color changing, and have a ton of programs and effects. And if you buy all the same brand, you can control all your lighting with one little remote. 👍
I also prefer using custom backdrops most of the time, instead of bare wall. And I like mixing in smaller figures to my displays. I guess some might find it cluttered, but I love it.
The minimalist look is cool too, but I've only so much room to work with, so I find it helps to consolidate a bit. Lol

I highly recommend adding peel off weatherproof stripping(Home Depot) as well. Really cuts down on the dust.

Pose them figures!!!Love that.So many people want to buy Hot toys but only care about selling or trading in future so they want to keep it as close to perfect In a museum pose.For that why even open it? Ihave had my Iron Spider in a pose for a very long time now and I’m totally happy about not leaving it all stiff in museum pose like everyone else online suggests because they are worried about damages.Sorry but small wrinkles aren’t damage to me,since I’m never getting rid of my figures
Agree! Why buy a $400 figure in leave it in a box!?? But, to each their own :)
Can't believe I haven't commented on this yet as we've already done a video chat to discuss my copy and paste of your wonderful work. Props to my wife for being completely onboard and building most of the cabinets in my display!
I think the one addition I did was use some sticky tack to the LED control switches so they were not laying around. I think I sent you pics already.
My mind is still racing for other updates I can do with my setup. Thanks for inspiring me brother!

Are the Philips hue strips on top of the Detolf toward the front like the LED strips or in the back? Thanks man looks awesome!
Great question! I probably should have mentioned that. They are about just an inch away from the back to really get the wall to illuminate properly. Good eye!

Really nice display.
How did you do to limit the halo of the philips Hue light? It looks like it stops right at the top of your detolf and it creates a fantastic effect. What kind of light fixture do you use? Thx!
Between laying the strip flat on top of the detolf, and how bright the first white light is, it gets diffused enough to where it all blends well. When the white lights are off and it's just the Hue strips, you can see the Hue light trickle down the detolf and it makes a cool silhouette of the figures.

Can’t get them anymore with shipping supply problems. All out of stock in IKEA stores in L.A.and Vegas as I was looking for one or two, been months now. No restock.

Hi great video do have any problem with the weight of the detolf on the kallax and how many kallax unit did you need for all the detolfs cheers
No issues on weight. You can have 3 detolf comfortably on one KALAX. So in short, I have 2 KALAX per 6 detolfs to distribute everything equally. Thanks for watching!
Hi, I have a question but not releated with that video but I hope you can answer. I have hot toys Luke Skywalker Last Jedi and Dr. Strange figures I’m only taking away dust with soft brush is it enought to care figure? If not what should I do to care? I saw few videos and photos peeled leathers, clothes damaged fabrics and I feld little bit anxiety ;D What are you doing to care your figures? do you have any suggest?
303 wipes for the pleather and some canned air to blow extra dust is about all you will need.
I have some Resident Evil 5 Hot toys with this glass cabnet..its next to a window but my curtains block the light a bit.. i have the boxes in there also as its just as good as the figure is it okay to have them here?
Shouldn't be too bad ; just keep away from direct sunlight

They do -- just really slow to restock right now. They have come in and out frequently near me
Hey do you have any dynamic flight stand recommendations for diecast figures? I got a iron man mk47 on the way and I really want to pose him in a taking off/landing stance but it only comes with a standard crotch grabber. Awesome video btw, found it super helpful
Thanks for watching! I haven't found a great third party flight stand unfortunately. The mk 47 should have come with one. Best bet is to find actual ones being pieced out on eBay. Good luck!

Hey there! I have a question for you thats going to seem odd. On your Infinity War Star-Lord (or at least what appears to be Infinity War) I can't help but notice you have headphones on him. AFAIK there isnt a cassette player/headphone accessory for that particular figure. If I may ask where did you get it? Or is it borrowed from another version of the character?
This is actually the GOTG Volume2 version which comes with them.

So I just moved to a new home and tried buying the detolf from the IKEA in Philly but they were all sold out and sadly they won’t deliver the pieces

@@DeterminedVeteran I read some posts in a hot toys group that the detolfs are out of stock because they're being discontinued for a newer better version of them. If that doesn't interested you, you may wanna start looking for second hand ones... Which will be easy to get if these newer versions are in fact better.

amazing how americans have so bad taste for collections maybe due to excess of cash. we dont have that amount of money we need to focus on the good things only and ignore most of the stuff
