I remember watching this when I was around 15 or 16 and was so mesmerized at how cool electric guitar is. I'm 30 now, still loving this piece and that Paul Gilbert guitar and pretty much everything about metal. Also thank you YT algorithm for bringing me back here.

There's only one man, that can pick that smoothly, cleanly and at the precise and optimal moment when the finger hits the string....and that's Paul Gilbert. This guy did a great job, and was very creative to eliminate the "capo"....give him a break. from Paul's Racer X webmaster. :)
that is actually one of the best videos ive seen in a long time of a guitarist...ive seen some awesome guitarists on here but this is by far one of the best
Dude I've seen Paul Gilbert play it so many times. You play it just like him (with the echo and the wild bend at the end, even the count in). And you didn't even need a human capo! Fuckin amazing.
At first I didn't even notice that you had set up your guitar the same way that Paul did(3 strings, all tuned to E?) - anyways, incredible job covering this!
great point kyotoeffect, you've pointed out that the tempo of this person playing the song is different than the actual song. awesome job and congratulations on the accomplishment!
the highest E is left as is, the next e i used was a 36 gauge, the last is the bottom E string a 46 gauge. the 2 lovwer ones MUST be pretty think so its not super slinky and hard to tap and keep in tune, i learned the hard way... enjoy! -Park
hey man, awesome cover! what strings did you use to get the E-E-E-tuning? i tried it with the standard-ones, but they start to flabber as soon as i touch them! and when playing the main-theme, to which position is your PU-switch set? have a good one man, paul gilbert is awesome.
Most likely a low E, D, and high E just like Paul did. I'd recommend a really light guage for the D though since it has to be tuned up a whole step from standard.
i hearby volunteer to come round your house and be your human capo. For those asking, his guitar is paul gilbert's signature ibanez, with 3 strings all tuned to E. It's a little faster than it should be but hell, it's easier to slow down than it is to speed up, and considering it was all tapped and played with that awfully big stretch.. incredibly clean. You are a god, sir.
@gal7zx It's just 3 strings all tuned to E. It's something Paul Gilbert does so that he can play the same scale/ arpeggio in the same position on all the strings super fast. Except, in the original, Paul Gilbert is using a double necked guitar with a standard set of strings on the top neck, and the all E set on the bottom, as he couldn't find any other use for a second neck. Sorry for rambling.
@BRADARISTA I think its a Ibanez PGM 300, Paul's signiture guitar made by ibanez, but I don't think they make that one anymore, its been discontinued in favour of the PGM 400 which doesn't have the white finish and different pick ups. As far as I know. Hope that helps
That was awesome! Having a human capo allows the player to pick the notes and get better attack than just tapping... just ask Paul Gilbert! Great job Park!
Yes, it was. Paul does read all email sent to his account on his website. He doesn't always respond, but if it catches his fancy...occasionally, he'll respond. from Paul's Racer X webmaster.
to be honest even though gilbert is guitar god i kinda like your taping bro it makes it appear near impossible your awesome bro keep it up and gilbert will worship you while he chills in retirement
@KnavishDragon The reason is to prevent other noises, to not be bumping into the 3 other strings when tapping. It's hard easier and cleaner to do it this way. That's the only reason.
@themusicrocks4ever don't know if you noticed. But it's impossible to play without a human capo if you don't tap it. Also to probably didn't notice that when Paul plays it, it's all legato anyways so what's your point exactly?

Time was so quick now you are 33 years old

That was insane man. Hands down the biggest fingr stretch ive ever seen. Very nicely done man!!!
Check out Holdsworth
Wow, that was... sick. Even went the extra step further without the human capo, great job!

that is actually one of the best videos ive seen in a long time of a guitarist...ive seen some awesome guitarists on here but this is by far one of the best
O_O Holy shit.... that was amazing!!! Even though you were tapping it, it sounded almost exactly like how Paul does it. Awesome job!
Man thats awsome i havent even thought of attempting this song. I think your tapping technique is a smart way to play it
HOLY GOD DAMN! That was awesome! Amazing cover for just one person!
3 years now, a new video is on its way.
It's gonna be great!

Didn't find your human capo?
Couldn't*
He used tapping technique.
@@tuzzwongbodin9606 that's the joke...
At first I didn't even notice that you had set up your guitar the same way that Paul did(3 strings, all tuned to E?) - anyways, incredible job covering this!
Great job dude! It's really hard to do without the human capo or the three E strings Paul uses, but you did a nice cover.
Finally, someone who can actually play the song they posted...
FUCK HELL!!! are you real!?!?!?!
The point was that he's playing the song without one, by tapping. It turned out quite nice, too.
You were playing it a little bit fast, but decent job.
It sounds sicker faster
great point kyotoeffect, you've pointed out that the tempo of this person playing the song is different than the actual song. awesome job and congratulations on the accomplishment!
for improvising without the second man,
that was very well done
the highest E is left as is,
the next e i used was a 36 gauge,
the last is the bottom E string a 46 gauge.
the 2 lovwer ones MUST be pretty think so its not super slinky and hard to tap and keep in tune, i learned the hard way...
enjoy!

AWSOME!! I didn't know cloning was possible but this Paul Gilbert is almost as good as the original!
its a Boss DD-3 (Digital Delay)
Nice nice nice. Tapping instead of a third hand. Genius.
hey man, awesome cover!

You sir, most certainly deserve your Paul Gilbert signature model Ibanez.
hats off to you my man
creativity, imagination, and a glass of pink lemonade to sip on.

nice playing brother! you really nailed it! Also, if you have time - check out Anton Oparin's version, it's also cool :)
I remember watching this in 2006 and I just remembered this video comeback saw the 2006 yeah ... and almost cried , water under the bridge
Anton and his sweeps are 1000000X better
Chris Hansen Anton didn't sweep lol

17 years later and this video, just today May 9th of 2024 pops up! Amazing!
Asians...
i never thought id see anyone witht he balls to cover this song, good work
Oh. Your guitar don't have 4~6 string
the song only requires 3?
Christian Basa 4 to be exact
scarified Paul Gilbert even said 3 strings all tuned to E
For the arpeggios. and uses a 2nd guitar for the other part
박선호 Guys! Let's be clear)) Anton Oparin fucked everyone with his version of "Get Out":))))
Though I prefer the crisper sound the human capo allows, this is still impressive.
Good show!
Excellent job working your away around needing a second human. Fun vid. Keep the shred alive!
THAT WAS SICK MAN! Good shit 🤟
@gal7zx

He's got unearthly wide left hand stretch. Impressive, most impressive.
I'm glad I found this video after 16 years.
his hair style gives him insane guitar powers :O
nice played dude taht was awesome
Tapping! why did I never think of doing it that way! you made my yard-getting-out-of so much easier, thx man :)
That was amazing, I will now get out of your yard...
It's so fucking awesome that you didn't use the human capo. Five stars.
"no human capo" you yourself were the human capo!!!
Holy shit! You the man dude! That was freakin' awesome. Almost like watching the Paul's vid.
That was really amazing man! Keep up the shreddin'
wow, doing the song without a human capo, that right there, is ownage! good job man!
youtube algorithm bringing me back 16 years into the past.
you did a nice version of this=) you have respect for the music, and thats always good to see
i hope Paul has seen this, i think you did him proud
the best part is at the end with the ear piece, thats some wiked playing man! i hope to see you headlining a show one day! id watch ^-^
Holy shit you got balls to do something even Paul Gilbert could not.
Paul doesn't use his friends as a human capo, he has three arms.
you pretty much nailed it to the last detail...awesome man!
No Human capo? Badass I did not know it could be done
That was savage young man. Paul would be proud!
completly agree with u if sumbody has a lot of talents its because he work 4 it, this guy is amazing and chris is jalous XP
I've been working on it for the past hour myself, and I must say sir, you are far better than I at this point ;D
the capo human is just for the show
That was awesome! Having a human capo allows the player to pick the notes and get better attack than just tapping... just ask Paul Gilbert! Great job Park!
You' re awesome, you doesn't need another guy to play that!
man, you are brilliant :) this is a really great cover, you didn't even need a human capo!
I bet you he could play with the human capo but it's just a signature move sorta thing
:O Nice job, you're a sick guitarist. I loved the end when you put the headphone near the pickup hahaha.
13 years after
you are a monster
Amazing! That was awesome. I thought this was gonna be horrible but now i guess i was wrong.
Anyways, this is very clean and impressive - I applaud you AlexParksguitar :)
holy fuck, I don't even know if pauls tried playing it without a human capo! fuckin nice job man
Yes, it was. Paul does read all email sent to his account on his website. He doesn't always respond, but if it catches his fancy...occasionally, he'll respond.
from Paul's Racer X webmaster.
maaan that was insane man totaly awsome keep up the good work!!!!!!!! =)
dude that rocked my socks man youre awesome'
already on my favorites man! thanks!
I love the part where you turn the DD-3 to super mega fast and then to normal, I'm guessing thats what Paul does?
Using the headphone was creative. Nice.
those guys are all envious, probably because you are so young and good to play.Emo or not, good work guy!
Lol very nice! I must have watched Paul do this 100 times.. but i like how u do it without the moving capo....sweet
Thanks for that, I was wondering if you would have to change the strings to be able to get them tuned to E in different octaves.
to be honest even though gilbert is guitar god i kinda like your taping bro it makes it appear near impossible your awesome bro keep it up and gilbert will worship you while he chills in retirement
haven't seen anyone of your age doing that before. Awesomely sick dude!
Dude you got some crazy finger stretching skills there. I got stubby little fingers lol
A fine wine kinda video
You have huge hands dude, perfect for those stretches pual gilbert does.
That was amazing! I need to go do some practice. Great work :D
@KnavishDragon The reason is to prevent other noises, to not be bumping into the 3 other strings when tapping. It's hard easier and cleaner to do it this way. That's the only reason.
That is awesome! You were even going faster than the original, lol.
THAT WUZ POSSIBLY THE MOST FUCKING EPIC THING I HAVE SEEN TODAY!!
DUDE!! U Rock!!
In the original, paul yells "get out of my yard" into the pickups, so he recorded it and put paul into the pickups.
@themusicrocks4ever don't know if you noticed. But it's impossible to play without a human capo if you don't tap it. Also to probably didn't notice that when Paul plays it, it's all legato anyways so what's your point exactly?
every time i watch this video....i always think your awesome!!
woah super cool dude i especially liked it when you had your mouth open like "woah super cool dude" .......jesus
