- This is explaination of situation where patient tries to perform compensatory movement when they are having gluteus medius weakness. Don’t get confused with trendlenberg sign what we see drop of pelvis opposite side.

Kindly change the description Atleast it’s not sign…cause exactly opposite happens! For 2 mins I got so confused because of this video
This is absolutely wrong info. The reverse happens in trendelenburg sign. If u are talking about compensation, don't label the video as "trendelenberg sign"
Thanks for your comment. I am talking about compensation if you have seen full video
Ek bar me hi samajh aa gya ,,, u r a great teacher Sir ☺️🦋
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻😄thankyou . Keep supporting and sharing
Sir, shouldn't the otherside of hip drop in case of positive trendelenburg sign
Yes it should be. In thins video I am trying to show how patients compensates it by doing trunk lateral flexion
Very helpful thank you sir
😁🙌🏻
Great Great Great explains
Thank you 🙏🏻
Thank you so much sir ❤️
You are welcome. Keep commenting and supporting 🙌🏻
I think what you are showing is compensated trendlenberg which is seen in marked hip abductor weakness in which trunk lean toward stance leg which you are exactly demonstrating while TRENDLENBEGsign is the one in which the swing side is downward dropped and not the stance side as observed in mild abductor weakness...
Yes, you have got it right . I couldn’t explain in so much detail in this short video
Yes he has explained wrongly
In sign The limb lowers than level
Iam 1st year bpt student and iam proud of that.
🙌🏻🙌🏻
Sir....the unaffected \elevated side pelvis should drop. ....when the patient stands on affected side
Yes. Thanks
In this abnormal case, we say right side is paralyzed. Right?
It’s Wrong explanation… contralateral pelvic in trendelenburg sign will drop cause it can maintain pelvic level as same as normal position… 😅😅
Well noted 🙌🏻😀
Per Niche girta hai dada 😅
Is trendelenburg under diagnosed? I certain my daughter has this but her 2 different therapists and doctors don’t seem to know much about this condition?
Nope, this is something very important to diagnose for better treatment.
Sir when will new admissions start in bpt🥺
Already started, about to get over by December
Sir isme kuch galat hai . 1 baar aap check kriye .
Galat nahi he , actually due to short duration I couldn’t include a point that patient is trying to compensate the weakness by leaning it towards opposite side . If not pelvic will drop not be elevated how it looks
Please do not teach wrong , it should be the contralateral site which drop and ipsilateral lurching with respect to the standing leg
Ok. I hope you have gone through the whole video
Wrong info
Sir , i think you are wrong (the side which is higher has weakened or deficient abductors )👎
O yeah and what about trunk.??
Wrong
Well, I know it’s opposite side drop, but here what I am trying to explain is to show how patient tries to compensate it
I am a doctor and this video is wrong it’s the opposite side where the pelvis turns 😅 u silly physio guys 😅
Physios are not silly, this video explains about how patient tries to compensate if weakness is there for gluteus medius muscle on one side. We are very well aware that in trendlenberg sign opposite pelvis drops. But to compensate it what patient does.? Answer is patient tries to hike the pelvis with help of quadratus limborum muscle and perform activity.
Yeah you are right , this is wrong 👎
This is a very wrong way to correct someone
If you are a doctor , in your own opinion can Trendelenburg Gait be fixed ? If so how ?
I have Trendelenburg Gait , my Right Hip is Weak , My Left leg lower . Or you could call it Wobble Gait,
walk like a penguin . From one side to another , I just want to be able to walk again.
Could the RIGHT HIP CAUSED BY * Glute Medius Tendon Tear Repair* ??? thank you .
