This video mainly focuses on giving you idea about SLR test or Lasegue test , which is performed to find out any neural compression or causes of back pain mainly in lumbar spine. if nerve root is involved, with types of SLR test we can also find out which exact nerve root compression is present.

Hi sir, in some websites it's given as 30 to 70 degree for disc herniation. So which range we must consider?
30-60 or 70 can be considered. Basically this is evidence based right now. Specificity of this test is more in this range that is why perticular this range is emphasised more
Sir I have slr test negative but having radiating pain from hip to calf muscle with tingling sensations...what might be the cause
I thought pyriformis syndrome
Could you demonstrate how SLR uses to differentiate sciatica
Sure, more information you can get from following video

Sir a patient has SLR range 0to 30 degree on both sides and after this he feels pain in the lower back radiate to both right and left side as well as in the lower limb Also. He feels numbness and tingling sensations on both sides. There's no Hx of hypertension , DM ... I'm very confused about this . Can u plz help me to understand this... He has history of LBP since 10 years . When he takes Medicine he feels relief but he don't want to take medicine any more. What should I do?
if both side it is positive definitely there is nerve root compression bilaterally. you should check and observe for postural changes as well functional activities and start working on affected parts, checkout my assessment video on back pain patient to learn more
Hey sir could u Plss give information about masters scope in New Zealand and it’s pay scale and how to get into it ?? Any entrance exam ??
I am still working on that information, stay tuned for the same 😎
Sir, I saw the patient of spinal stenosis around 35 year of age. Can we diagnosed the spinal stenosis by SLR only.
One of the test for that is SLR, spinal stenosis mainly we consider when there is narrowing of neural foramen May it be because of disc prolapsed or degenerative changes. At the age of 35 the first option makes more sense and for that history of the patient plays an important part to conclude.
Sir,treatment plan will be same for both disc prolapse and spinal stenosis?
Do we use pillow?
Noo
Can spinal stenosis occur in young patients?
No, because stenosis occurs because of degeneration , same thing in young patients is called disc prolapse which is acute condition
0-30 vertebral column damage
30-60 disc prolapse
60-90 hamstring
SLR 1 tibial nerve : eversion + dorsi flexion
SLR 2 sural nerve : inversion + dorsiflexion
SLR 3 common peroneal nerve : inversion + plantar flexion
❤
Sir ap kon se country se hain
India 🇮🇳
And For Scaitic Nerve?
For sciatic never there is no as such specific test but if the patient complains radiating pain starting from gluteus to back of the leg or foot. It suggests sciatica pain
@@Physiotrendz2990 Ok Thanks
Sir, are you from india?
Yes.
SLR is active or passive
When using it as a test, always passive
How to diagnose sciatica??
Is it 0-30 degree to label as sciatica or sciatic nerve radiculopathy
