Lots of great recommendations here! I own a pizza restaurant. We will never penalize additional toppings ever! We already put in the hard work!...put anything you like on it.
Professionally speaking as a former mgr. myself, with orders having about 4 toppings or more, it’s a mistake to put full portions of toppings. Pizza crust can only hold a limited load and still cook properly. Trying to be generous so as to not “skimp the client” will end up with an inferior product that is greasy , mushey , and undercooked.
it's the same with fast food, it's not about being lazy or it being convenient and I know the quality is a gamble, but, sometimes I just don't feel like making it.
I work pizza, and it blows my mind how much people can save if they ordered a menu item differently, or just combined certain smaller items instead of the bigger 1.
Three slices average per person and having left-over pizza that sounds insane, I eat a medium pizza by myself, and I never have left-over pizza unless it a large Chicago Deep Dish.
A toaster oven is perfect. Use the toast setting and use the pan that comes with the oven. Just keep an eye on it and it shouldn't take very long at all. No need to preheat the full size oven. I know, that's only 1-2 slices at a time. It's still faster than the big oven.
How much oil/butter do I want on the frying pan before tossing the pizza in? Sorry if this is a dumb question but i have 0 experience in cooking and have always been just microwaving my left over pizzas.
@@hereforthememes.8466 I would suggest using a nonstick frying pan and not using any oil/butter. If you weren't going to use a nonstick, then either a light spray with Pam or just a tablespoon of oil. Here make sure the pan and oil are hot before adding the pizza, otherwise, the crust will just soak up the oil and become soggy. Hope that helps and happy cooking!
I can tell you from experience as an official pizza eating connoisseur, pizza DOES taste better if left in the box instead of being wrapped up in something like tin foil or the likes. I guess it depends on when you do it. If it gets wrapped when it's still warm it can create a soggy experience the next day. If left in the box, it creates a crisper crust even when microwaved. Now on the other hand, if you own an air fryer, throwing a couple slices of your pizza in (even if just purchased) for like 4 minutes at 380 degrees Fahrenheit will make the pizza taste like gourmet with a crispy crust throughout.
Their suggestion here works quite well as long as you let the pizza cool completely prior to wrapping up. Any residual warmth will definitely leave you with a soggy mess if you wrap it thoroughly
The Domino's employee is not lying about the toppings. We had a chart showing how much of each topping to put on, according to the total number of toppings on the pie. I am reasonably sure the other big-box pizza places do something similar. I order pretty often from Pizza Hut and I am convinced they follow the same policy.
Another reason for uncut is while they're supposed to change out the cutter like every hour, anyone that's worked at a pizza place will tell you it's more like once or twice a day that it gets changed/cleaned.
As someone who worked fastish-food pizza for 10 years, this is no lie. Even better? The active pizza cutters at my store were kept in a little plastic bucket that was changed maybe once a day, and spent all that time collecting grease and other debris from cut pizzas.
Also, if you receive a pizza with ham/Canadian Bacon on top of the cheese it was made incorrectly, as this meat becomes tough unless it is put on the pizza before the cheese is, An Experienced Pizza Creator
When I have an order wrong I only want to contact the manager to let them know I didn't get the right order. Compensation is not important to me. Quality in the restaurants I patronize is. I do usually get a compensation in the form of "Tell them said you get a free the next time you come in." I sometimes take advantage of it and sometimes not. I am a software engineer and consider the data the most important transaction.
Asking for pizza "well done" is not a great idea. Most pizza places cook their pizza on a conveyer belt that run through the oven... There is a side door to put pizzas in half way, but there isn't really a protocol for "well-done" so the cook might just put the pizza in twice, and if the pizza is burnt, they might send it out anyway because "well, they wanted it 'well done'". Better idea would be to combine this idea with the "throw your pizza in the oven when you get home" idea and cook it to your liking.
I'm surprised they did not mention an air fryer. Maybe it's not mainstream enough, but it's a game changer when reheating pizza. I will never use another method!
I order from Domino's and never had a problem with my order, my pizza arrives piping hot and the cheese gooey; And they never forget my garlic dipping sauce lol..🍕🍕🍕🍕
4:04 to make adding your own toppings work best, you'd also need to put a thin layer of cheese on top of your toppings, then stick it in the oven until the cheese has melted, and your toppings have cooked/heated. Which typing that out, unless the pizza is cold, would end up overcooking your freshly bought pizza. 5:38 Also, unless you love crusts, 2 pizzas have more crust than 1 (or rather, a larger crust to toppings ratio).
It's surprising how many people don't take advantage of specials and online coupons. So many times I've walked into a store to pick up an $8 pizza and the person ahead is ordering off the menu and paying $15 or more for the same size and number of toppings. Even if you're standing in the restaurant you can order on the app for a better price.

yeah, you want to avoid rush periods too, so like anywhere from 530 to 8 on the weekend is a bad time for delivery, esp since most stores only have a couple drivers nowadays.
I wish that local pizza places around here delivered. But the price difference for 3rd party delivery doesn't justify takeout from them. If I want really good pizza I'll go out and pickup or eat there, or just make it myself.

@@hereforthememes.8466 Matter of taste, I suppose. Granted it all depends on the pizza oven and temperature, etc., but the pizza they give you is cooked; if it's not, that's a different story. But the extra few minutes in the oven, I find, brings the pizza together more and the slices hold up better. The added cooking time of the cheese (and the sauce) really seems to make a noticeable difference.
Totally agree with ordering pizza unsliced. This way it's easier to tightly roll into a burrito that fits snuggly into your bicycle water bottle holder.
I get an extra large thin crust, it's always a little burnt on the bottom, I can eat half of it easily, all of it when I am drunk, and put my own chili flakes on it, those red pepper packets are never hot at all.
