This video was a whole lot of "how to make things easier for McDonald's workers" than anything else. Also, every McDonald's in my area has had a closed lobby for almost a year, so yeah, I'll be checking my bag *in line* before I leave. Because going inside to rectify the situation is not an option, so I'll be waiting in line all over again. A few seconds in line checking for a correct order isn't nearly the burden as forgetting items that were paid for. Also, we need to realize that Quora is as bad as Reddit but just doesn't have the same horrible reputation.

  • @hellhound1389

Unfortunately you can't go inside to fix your order at our local cuz they shut down the dining room and it's drive through only so they feel they can screw up and not have to worry about fixing it and nobody picks up the phone and nobody calls you back

  • @BfDelano

I worked at McDonalds from 1996 to 2000. We constantly had a woman who would come in that we called the "bearded lady". She had a lot of hair on her chin, homeschooled her kids, and those kids couldn't even read or write. Every burger she ordered had freshly cooked with no salt or ketchup, fries freshly cooked with no salt. All of her drinks with no ice. Any apple pies she ordered, she demanded we stick them back in the oven to warm them up. She'd go to the drive thru during rush hour, and attempt to skip any lines when she came inside. The kids were absolutely spoiled, and any special products we had (like glasses) were always purchased for them.
I still wonder to this day if those kids are able to read or write. They'd have to be around 28 or so now.

My fist mistake was ordering McDonald’s. Because it’s obvious this company does not care. It’s rare that the order is correct even when ordering with no changes. Also so many times they forget items. Starting to think it’s a requirement to “steal”. If they sell an item 3 times before it makes it to a customer that has to be quite a profit.

The nuggets thing happens at a lot of places I've noticed in a lot of stores they do the same thing especially Wally-mart, If you by single items they are a few cents less than a double pack of smaller items. Buying 2 12.5 oz cans of meat products cost less than buying 2 shrink wrapped 10 oz cans of the same thing because your paying for the packaging process. Same goes for items in ridge cases or freezers where you have 5 items all from different manufacturers, why are some listed price by LB and others price by oz? You need to carry a calculator when shopping to figure out which is a better deal. Always check the volume price when shopping so you get the best deal and remember your smart phone has a calculator in it.

The round egg is mostly not made with fresh eggs and come in packages exactly like the folded. Having worked there for years, the folded was always the better option in my opinion, given that most places don't do freshly cracked eggs. And I worked at 8 different stores over the years, not one had fresh eggs for the round egg. Which not downing it when the packaged round egg has it's place, but most McDonald's do not crack eggs during the morning shift, and that's a fact. #MashedFactCheck

Placing a large order in advance is a bad idea. They will make a couple at a time between counter order. Most of your large order will be pieced together and kept under the heat lamp until the order is piece milled together. Some of the burgers will be fresh, but most will have sat under the heat lamp for a while. They won't like it but just walk in and place your order. Stand near the counter and watch what happens. What you could do is go in a few days ahead of time and talk with the manager. Tell him the day and approx. time you will be in. He/she will put on extra help for that time slot and appreciate the heads up. I think tour busses do this. I have been on a few chartered busses going to special events and it seemed every fast food place we stopped at was loaded with food ready to sell.

    • @BfDelano
      @BfDelano 3 роки тому +2

Burgers are no longer "sitting around" like they did in the 80s and early 90s, and they're not sitting there for hours. They'll cook up a batch of meat, set it a holding bin with a 30 minute timer, and throw it away if the timer goes off. If you order your burger plain, they're toasting that bun, sticking a piece of meat in that's either 1 or 29 minutes old, wrapping it, and setting it in the holding area for your server to put on your tray or bag up.
Burger meat, chicken, fish, nuggets, they all have timers. If you think you're getting hours old food at a location near you, then clearly you need to call the board of health or report that location to corporate.
Either that, or stop exaggeration when you don't know what the hell you're babbling about.

I got cold stale fries the last time I went to Mcdonals. I asked for some fresh ones. They said no, that it was the oil. I left the fries on the counter and e mailed Mcdonalds. They did apologize but that was it. I have not been back to Mcdonalds since.

It's not the oil, and I hope it wouldn't be the oil, because there's certain standards that the restaurants have to adhere to. Now if the fries were a little dark, THAT would be the oil. Don't remember the chart, but every night (or every other night) the vats of oil were drained into a machine that filters out tiny pieces, and pumps the oil back into the station. They'd change that oil when it started to get a little dark.
IF it was the oil, they must have had very old oil in the stations.

Burger King Win's in the Wars and I'll tell you why McDonalds! They advertise their deals in their windows! They always have a 2 for or maybe now because of the fake inflation a 3 for just for breakfast! And the do it with their sandwiches as well. And I'll tell you they're still serious competition! The Whopper is still considered to be one of the top 5 burgers in America!

So your saying don't ask for no salt if you don't want salt??? And your also telling us to go inside if your drive thru order is wrong, what is the point of the drive thru if you have to go inside because they forked up your order. They messed up the order in the drive thru they can fix it in the drive thru. Who paid for this damn video? Macdonald's?

Sorry... But nothing is heavier than oatmeal. 3 bites will make you heavy and maybe even sick feeling for a few hours. Not light in the slightest.
