Omg. This is how my mom used to make ramen, I had totally forgotten. I didn't eat it for years because as a toddler she thought chicken ramen was the same as chicken soup when I was sick so I obviously threw up. Anyway, I avoided it for years and when I finally made it myself it was VERY soupy. Dang... Memories..lol
@@rubyoro0 haha. I think it's probably okay if it doesn't make you more sick, but somehow my mom never realized it was making me worse. I was very small and those seasoning packets for the cheap ones have a ton of salt and msg and stuff that can be hard on a tummy. Usually if you have a stomach issue you're supposed to have something a bit more bland like regular chicken soup, or like a chicken and rice soup, but if it's not a stomach sickness I think it's probably fine for most people to have ramen.
My nephew got appendicitis last year. I remember right before he got sick he ate ramen everyday. I had a feeling it was making him sick, now I’m super convinced it was exactly that.
@@rubyoro0 I’ve been borderline diabetic for many years off and on, my food consumption choices weren’t the best, even when I didn’t even eat as much on a daily basis, and it did include ramen 🍜 noodles and pasta 🍝 Now, I can’t eat as much of that hardly at all bc it hurts my stomach and it’s not worth it (the discomfort). The actual best way to make maruchan without the soup is to boil the noodles for only 2 minutes and then drain all the water, add a tbsp of oil or fat, some of the flavor packet, whatever extras you got a taste for (garlic paste, sesame seeds, onion powder, soy or oyster sauce, etc.), and then cook it for a few minutes. Then just put it in a bowl and dig in. Maybe even a pat of butter on top.
I thought I was the only one who made my ramen dry af. My 12 year old loves it this way too and won’t eat it when his father makes it with a normal amount of liquid 😂
I admit, maruchan does do very well when prepared as a dry noodle instead of as a soup noodle. Mostly because the soup broth of maruchan ends up being fairly weak.

No, it's like so dry and sticks together but still cooked. Most people have at least some liquid. But I can tell what you mean cuz it doesn't look like it in the video but it does have a different texture.
My aunt made her ramen like this once, but not in a pot, just regularly in the microwave, then drained most of the water so the seasoning would mix in with the noodles instead. I do it every now and then, maybe if I'm having ramen twice in a day or two days in a row I might switch it up.
