Thanks man! It wasn’t RPE 10 but it was a PR for a 3 sec pause. I injured my groin back in April and have been back only 2 months. Staying away from a true max for a while.
@@charlesevanspope That's just a tried and true program that works, I've been running it too, and it got my front squat up to 265 (paused and atg, like yours). I will be getting up to 315 this year.
Back pain. I’ve tried everything. Even with great mobility and stability and regular yoga I just can’t ATG back squat or even heavy deadlift without back pain. I really wish I could. I also have no idea why front squat doesn’t cause the same pain.
@@charlesevanspope maybe stop Back squatting all together and just front squat for 4-5 months. If there is a movement that doesn't bother your back,,, like 45° back extensions, GHD, Romanian deadlift,,, maybe practicing just that for some time will relieve the pain. Wish you get rid of it as soon as possible. Fantastic physique man
@@charlesevanspope also I would suggest giving a shot at overhead squats (snatch grip or clean grip), just empty bar or even those fixed weight bars of 10 kg. It is going to challenge the core and back, without too much load.

Decent lift mate, what program you running?
upper/lower each twice a week. Legs is 5x5 back squat one day and 5x5 front squat the next day.
