Wonderful video! The great thing about the new Defender is that it is a luxurious every day and road trip driver, but it can still tackle extreme offroading. Not many vehicles can make that claim. Perhaps the Tough T?

I think that mud puddle right before the rocks was the problem. Even jeeps with front and rear locked and all four wheels on rock couldn’t get any traction. “Not enough light bars”. Lmao. Love the vids. Keep em coming. You should mod a few Defenders like this and sell them at your dealership. You could call it the CO Trails edition. I’m out of the JLR family and back to Jeep- the LR4 is gone and I’m in a Gladiator Rubicon with an Alucab canopy. For my uses- carrying a mountain bike and all of it’s required stuff 24/7, the kind of offroading I do, and the more ease of modifying, the Jeep just suit my purposes more. Still love seeing the Defenders modded and out there on the trail tho. No doubt with some mods (not even nearly as many as you did) the new Defenders will be able to go most places their owners want to go with them.

Yes. We watched 10 rigs a couple of weeks later attempt this same line. 2 Buggies… one made it and the other broke, an H1 made it after several attempts, a sweet LS stretched LJ made it, several Cherokees and a 4 Runner attempted but couldn’t get up the line, and a built S-10 Blazer walked right up it NP. I’d love to know how hot the LR brakes got😬 they’d probably got brake fade before they even touch the brakes from all that brake actuation when traction was low.

The solid front axle is no longer the end all set up. Look at every off road racing event. Outside of nostalgia vehicles, most are IFS.
