I’m waiting for the comment to come, like I use to be a mechanic at land rover or work for a dealership or my uncle owned one🤣🤣🤣🤣 all lies and bullshit, no more unreliable than any other car, see so many on the road and contrary to belief never seen any parked in lay-by waiting for road assistance or on the back of a tow truck, I have however seen lots of BMW and Mercs in that predicament though so go figure.

I do have spend time after I been out compounding the scratches out as all modern paintwork is water bars abs quite soft. I am hoping to fit “xlifter to I can Wade to your defender depth . Great video ! I’m shuddering to think of the issues after the dip in the sea and sand! I did the same with mine and no matter what I did to clean it after the brake calipers seized and other bits needed replacing. Expensive
We had no issues with the car after our test! We have on the channel 3 more videos with Defender tests and always the car was pretty strong 💪
I think that’s all fresh water. Shouldn’t be a problem. If that was salt water you might as well total the car now.

As an American who offroads alot,( lifted Jeep Gladiator and a V8 Swapped Nissan Xterra) I am impressed. However we can't get the diesel and I personally don't want it unless I can get the diesel or the V8 at a better price.

hola , excepcional video gracias por publicarlo, yo tengo un discovery 5 2.0 desde hace un año y el video me demuestra lo que se puede hacer ya que pienso que las caracteristicas off road son muy similares, no crees???. De momento por si le sirve a alguien no he tenido ningun fallo de ningun tipo en 11 meses y 160000 kilometros y el motor justito en bajas rpm y en los primeros metros al empezar a circular pero por lo demas suficiente. Creo que el motor 2 litros ingenium se mejoro muchisimo justo cuando lo cambiaron por el 3 litros hace mas o menos 9 meses.

simplemente por si a alguien le sirve la informacion dado que hay muchos comentarios negativos con el discovery 5 y motor 2.0 de 240 cv. , el mio con 42000 kmts de carretera y campo, nada de ciudad, impecable hastabla fecha, ni un solo error ni siquiera de hardware, el mio es de diciembre del 2020.

I drive my Defender X in soft beach sand, raised height, and on the desert sand setting. Mostly I put my foot into it like you did in this video, usually not ever stopping in soft sand. Do you have any soft sand tips for me? Settings? Great Driving!!

What is your favourite moment of the video?
In soft sand worn tyres are always better than tyres with lots of tread. You want to float over the top of the sand and not dig down through sand if it is bottomless & soft. Hence why you also need to air down like Lb Co says. The lower pressure the better but with low profile tyres don't go below 15-16 psi unless you know what you are doing as the beads can become unseated or you can rip a valve off or damage a rim at super low pressures. Don't forget to air up again before going far on hardtop as underinflated tyres will overheat.

All the Range Rover models are good off-road vehicles, and better than the other off-road vehicles such as BMW X5, Mercedes GLS, Audi Q7, etc. But Toyota Land Cruiser is still the Godzilla of the vehicle world.

Our choice is Defender due to the several reasons:
1. Air Suspension
2. Better approach and departure angles
3. Lighter weight

dado que este coche lleva el mismo motor que el discovery 5 y simplemente por si a alguien le sirve la informacion dado que hay muchos comentarios negativos con el discovery 5 y motor 2.0 de 240 cv. , el mio con 42000 kmts de carretera y campo, nada de ciudad, impecable hastabla fecha, ni un solo error ni siquiera de hardware, el mio es de diciembre del 2020.

Tampoco tuvimos problemas con este coche, a pesar de que lo condujimos bastante duro.
