But yeah... The Defender essentially has street tires whereas the Bronco had a proper mud terrain beefy tire. It was basically no competition, which is what I expected. This comparison basically proves how important a proper tire is on your rig when you want to go wheeling. If you're on a street tire, you cannot expect your rig to perform well... Even if you have the most capable optioned Defender, or Bronco, or Wrangler, etc... Without a proper tire, you will be in trouble. 😆😭👍🏼
Exactly - thank you! So many videos showing the Defender fail yet the competitor has 18 inch wheels compared to the Defenders 20's and the Defender has what look like all weather tires! which is stupid for real trail driving. These videos are only showing us that it's tire choice which is crucial.
Ford sure did put a lot of engineering effort into the Bronco. The off-road prowess is very impressive. The Defender is nice too, but it needs a better tire/wheel setup. I think if it had a substantial meaty tire setup like the Bronco it would do much better.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Those 20" wheels and mild off road tires don't do it any favors. I think the smallest wheel you can put on the Defender and it clear the brake caliper is a 19", *maybe* an 18".
@@backwoodstherapy The wheel size depends on the model. In the US, the base and S models with the 4 cylinder engine have smaller front calipers so 18” wheels are an option, I think 20” are the smallest available if you get the 3.0L 6 cylinder motor that’s standard on the higher spec models.
In my view Land Rover has hit a sweet spot with the new Defender. I think it’s a mistake to say they failed because it’s not like the old Defender or better off road than a Rubicon or a Bronco. The market has spoken, Land Rover has found a market niche with little or no competition and they’re exploiting it well. The proof is a top spec Defender costs more than the new Range Rover SE, and they can’t build them fast enough. In reality that extra 1%….5% of off road prowess you might get with a less civilized alternative isn’t worth it to the Buyers of the new Defender. If I want a kick-ass off roader I’ll buy an old Jeep that someone else has already modified and use it on the reality extreme stuff, the other 99% of the time I’ll much more happily drive the new Defender.
I’ve had 4 raptors. They’re nice. All of them had issues. There are no “reliable” machines.. lol machines break. Period. 3 land rovers, 2 defenders never one issue in 60,000 miles. Ford NEVER had ANY kind of technology terrain modes until they purchased land rover years ago. Land Rover had this decades ago. Most of the people that talk shit about land rovers either had an old one or never owned any at all.
Great review! As someone who ordered both the Bronco and the Defender, I ultimately went with the Defender. It’s such a nice daily, and with a tire and wheel upgrade, it’s as capable as I’ll ever need. Appreciated you taking the time and having some fun!
@@crazybear5475 Easy, it's gets horrible fuel economy, they need to keep the company averages up. I didn't mind buying wheels and tires to suit my needs, didn't consider it a downside at all. My Defender is remarkably capable, and such a nice vehicle to drive. I guess to each his own.
Yes I feel the same, had a badlands on 37s and was awesome but I'd rather have luxury, since I'll never need to go offloading like this. But sone nice 33 mts on the defender would make it handle almost everything
I’m with the crowd saying the difference in tires makes the comparison point unbalanced. That said, if I were buying for off road only, I’d buy the Ford. But in the real world the off-roading is a small fraction of actual usage. I’ve ordered the P300 S Defender, which allows the 18 inch wheels (allowing better off-road tires). I’m anticipating that the new Defender has improved reliability, it’s a huge priority at JLR these days. Most reports of issues are software related and will get addressed with OTA updates.
agree mate. Doug Demouro has had zero issues and hes done big miles in his defender. Like he says all brands have niggles these days but JLR have a reputation and it's HARD to move away from that. Any minor issue is now HUGE on the interweb. I would not worry about the new Defender at all.
To all the people who say this isn't a fair comparison because of the tires; this is how both vehicles come from the factory. To me, that is how it should be compared. You'd think Land Rover would equip a 100k off-roading vehicle with a far more aggressive tires. All of that well designed tech is nothing without the basics covered as well. Well done to Ford on the Bronco, such a well equipped vehicle from the show floor.
You are exactly right! Ford built there truck around bigger more aggressive tires for off roading. Also I don’t think there is another off road vehicle in the world that has tractor brake steering.
I fully agree with you regarding the Defender, but let’s be real, 95% of the people spending 100K on a luxury SUV Land Rover will never take the vehicle off pavement, let along off-roading. So knobby tires with large sidewalls that ultimately hurt fuel efficiency is by no means a priority for Land Rover when it comes to pushing product off the showroom floor. Too bad!
Sure, the Sasquatch package is a factory option. It's hardly a fair comparison still. The Wild Track costs 60% more than the base version for the extra features and upgraded tires. Should have had AT tires on the Defender. And, when he was still struggling with the mud, he switched to the rock crawl. That made no sense. Hardly a real comparison. Still a fun video to watch though.
How it should be compared? LOL that is so stupid. A vehicle and the abilities and a technology put into it need proper grip. Having the same tires would give the technology involved in both a fair opportunity. Saying the way they come is the way you test it is very very very stupid. Land Rover knows people are going to put off-road tires they just don't because when you first buy it it's more comfortable and quiet and they know you can afford to put off-road tires.
The defender will absolutely destroy the Bronco off road you can find more videos online especially with off-road tires on dry and Rocky Terrain. Ford is not an off-road Specialty Company Land Rover is in the new ones still is you simply don't know what it entails you're just looking at it and thinking it's all fancy if you actually did research you'd realized it top to bottom and underneath that the fender has amazing off-road technology it's not just an air suspension cushy ride it literally Rivals with Jeep rubicon's if you watch the right videos and you do the right research. Just goes to show the demographic that the manufacturers are aiming at. I don’t think many people deny the Defender’s capabilities but stock to stock from factory, Ford hit the ground running with the Bronco.
@@fhclappen8595 My guess is that LR wanted the most comfortable ride. What LR needs to do is offer their own truly off road package that’s comparable to the Rubicon or Sasquatch.
Great review. Defender has more amenities but is also more expensive. Tires are definitely a weak point for severe terrain. I had considered both, but decided to go with the Bronco. Won’t get it till next year however.
I was bummed about the tires on the Defender,,,,but got it fixed! ADDED 1.5 suspension lift and 275 60 R 20 BFG’s and it looks great and I feel confident now with the tires! Cost $2700.00
great review. Thus far in a majority of the reviews I've seen of the LR (excluding the TFL calamity) - the tires have always been the weakest link. I'd say that LR should change the default option, but I imagine that would impact the comfort level and MPG advantage it currently has over the Sasquatch and Rubicon. Either way, I'd be happy to own either.
@@nafsucof Definitely a weakness for doing rock crawling, driver needs to be careful a rock doesn’t pinch the sidewall. Replacing brakes rims and tires on a 100,000+ base price vehicle is going to add up quick. OTOH, most people aren’t going to come up against those trails, more likely they will run into mud pits. Wade sensing is super cool for that.
I love your enthusiasm haha. This test doesnt exactly show the strengths & weaknesses of the vehicles though. Just really reminds us that tires and ground clearance is a huge deal.
@@chanceym6000 Yeah that’s just bullshit. I’ve never even seen a land rover with off road tires on it. It’s a true rarity to see one on trail. Mostly what you see are Jeeps, Toyota’s, and then Ford and Chevy trucks. The Bronco will be right at home off road while the Defender is at the coffee shop
@@4477superman They are definitely rare. Less common to see period, so obviously less common on the trail. My rover is an offroad machine and there are three or four kitted out ones in my neighborhood, so I guess it depends on where you live.
Literally every second new defender I see here in Ireland is covered heavily in mud from off roading. Also I’ve seen commercial versions being used on construction sites already.
Excellent. Love these off-road comparisons. Keep them coming. The old Defender would get over that obstacle no problem. The new Defender is a no longer a hardcore off-roader. Its failure to get over the obstacle is nothing short of embarrassing.
The old Defender does not have traction control or rear Locker. Yes deal Defender is much tougher and the axles can articulate because it's not independent suspension but technically I've watched an old Defender and a new Defender and the old Defender starts slipping and spinning wheels immediately while the new one goes right over stuff
Good video. But I think you have misunderstood some things. It isn’t the “Traction Control” on the Defender killing the engine. It is the Dynamic Stability Control. Why it doesn’t shut off in low range I have no idea. But you need to manually switch it off, regardless of the Terrain Mode you are using. The only exception is the Sand Mode which allows far more wheel slip. But will have a different throttle map. That said, your test really seemed to show the difference in the tyre tread, not the size.
TFL had the same issue with their Land Rover with the street tires. To truly test it you have to put on some AT tires, or at least HT tires. But Land Rover owners don’t often go off road which is why the tires suck.
glad your doing the comparison, I had thought about the basic defender with 4cyl engine and coil spring suspension which is closer in price to the Bronco
I've just clocked 800miles on my p300 90s, with coil. I absolutely love it. Haven't gotten it off road yet, that'll be happening in the spring after I go down to a 18" wheel, so I can get a more capable off road tire. The Goodyears are fine for street driving tho I know he addresses the quality of the interior, but the Bronco doesn't come close. I've been in Bronco wildtrak for a whole day
Great video. Love your enthusiasm. Both excellent vehicles. I agree, bigger better tires really help. But who doesn't want more power. Difficult choice if money is not an issue.
The defender needs too many modifications to be good and let’s not even talk about the price and reliability. The bronco is a beast out of the dealership and it’s so much cheaper and still very nice. It’s a no brainer.
@@GRcorolla-bt3mn Not necessarily. There is a location for the winch in the factory bumper, and they make a roo-bar for the Australian market. Its just no tin the US.
4-Low is rarely a good idea in mud and sand because torque is less important than wheel speed/spin, especially with the less aggressive tires on the LR. Great video
@@Adam_Rosenberg91 4-low is rarely a good idea through deep mud because low speed through deep mud is a good way to get stuck. It is the exact opposite of rock crawling. Sand/mud modes allow for unlimited wheel spin and require higher RPMs, often higher than 4-low will allow. The advantage of 4-low is to allow feathering of the throttle in tricky areas and to engage lockers, but the additional torque is not needed when there is low traction. I would never advise faster speeds through deep water, but it is more advantageous in mud in the absence of deep water.
Why are Land Rovers so expensive now?they used to make off-road vehicles for everyone, now they make off-road vehicles for rich people who will never go off-road Don’t get me wrong I love the new defender but it’s priced way too high and I’m talking about us prices,I feel so sorry for the Canadians above us
Over priced off-road vehicles that never go off-road only every come back to the dealership for oil changes. Low priced off-road vehicles come back with all kinda issues that are covered under warranty at the dealership’s expense. They know exactly what they’re doing.
Does the defender have the rear locker and if it doesn't then this comparison is not fair at all not to mention the tires difference here Also in the defender you go slowly but in the bronco you put the foot on gas
Great video. I think it confirms what my initial thoughts of both vehicles are in that the Bronco out of the box is extremely impressive and likely has a higher ceiling for extreme off road. The Defender being a global vehicle is limited on tire sizes in order to appeal to a larger market where 35's arent the norm and aren't readily available. I think with a better tire, maybe a 33" it will help immensely, and the Land Rover traction control will kick in to allow it to do some amazing things, but the tires aren't capable of keeping up with it when you're at slow speeds in these kinds of conditions. I would kive to see someone put a set of good tires on the Defender and then really compare them to the Bronco and Jeep to see how it performs.
Come ON😊😊 Land Rover struggled and COULD NOT make it with few tries. Bronco Had no issues. With Fourty Thousands in my pocket I will take the BRONCO all Day..
The fact that the Defender made it through that deep, icy water with relative ease on those tires speaks volumes about its capability and awd system. That was impressive, at first I thought no way will it make it through that. Also factor that in the real world, the Bronco is selling for $30-50k more than the Defender.
? The MSRP for the Defender is $48,700, while the Bronco's is $30k. I bought a 2 door sasquatch badlands for $52,000, and that is basically the maxed out Bronco.
@@benjaminford8173 I’m talking about seller markups as many are selling over $100k. This will settle down as supply balances out but lots of stupidity in the market for these currently for those that weren’t able to get at msrp.
I really don’t think it’s the 35s as much as it is the actual tire and tread pattern. Almost not even worth comparing the two without having them on the same tires. Don’t get me wrong I love the video it’s just not a true depiction of the capability of the defender.

Comparing two suvs in mud with one having street tires is like comparing Buster Douglas boxing Mike Tyson with his arms and legs tied behind his back. One has a unfair advantage over the other.
I think some of us have forgotten that Ford owned Land Rover for a few years so I would guess that alot of off road technology was shared. I also think put the same tires on tha Land Rover and the test would be a better. Thanks for the comparison.
The Land rover struggled to find traction on the rocks for two reasons 1. You applied the brakes and cut its momentum to a stop right before the rocks 7:09 (unlike you did in the Bronco) 2. LR has basically rugged road tires.
The Defender needs better tires, but it is definitely the more rounded car of the group. The Bronco is a solid off roader and costs far less, but in its effort to be the ultimate off roader means it is compromised in other areas.
Despite of LandRover claims... Defender is only a luxury a SUV. Instead Bronco is a real offroad and do really much more than this nice video has shown. You can see Broncos in Rubicon trail... I don't think you may find any new Defender (olds one for sure, but none new one). Till now in all UA-cam video I have seen about Defender, I have only seen really basic dirt or muddy roads... but anytime ROADS... that for definition is not "offroad" !! Everybody talking about those simple patterns claims Defender doing something really valuable... to try to make the people not think about the easiness of the pattern in front of really hard ones. Everybody try to convince the people Defender is a real offroader... but simply it isn't...! Defender is not more than an old Touareg... that is a luxury SUV, not an offroad.
Both are great for sure. I went with a defender 110 and love it. However, the Bronco is a good looking car and has excellent offroad capabilities. I am just a Land Rover fan, this is my fifth. I also spend most of my time on road. However, I am on a 1" lift, 33" cooper STMaxx's, and rock sliders :)

We had a 2004 Land Rover Range Rover for 13 yrs till 275000 km and repairs where less than a third of my Ford F250 which we ran for 10 years 150000 km . Rebuilt front end twice, shocks twice on Ford, replace transmission in both, replaced 460 engine in Ford once( stuck 700 miles from home). Ford was loose and rattled, Rusted and paint chipped easy. Window motors failed and so on. RR replaced two air bags $250 each and cooling system parts, never had to replace brake rotors just pads. All together Ford was broken or under repair for month. Catalytic converter on Ford fell apart internally and plugged exhaust, we got stuck in bush, $600 tow bill.
In my opinion, even though the Defender is a pretty capable SUV/crossover Land Rover really missed the mark. They basically spat in the face of one of the most iconic vehicles ever made. They went from a company who makes a utilitarian world-class off-roader and a world-class luxury capable off-roader to a company that makes like five midsize luxury crossover/SUVs that are decent off-road... when they're not broke down. With their background in reliability, no thanks. Just more systems to fail and leave you stranded. And we all know that the air suspension sucks. People are already changing it out or trying because it fails, among other things, and jacked up to it high point it rides like a deuce and a half. I'm just super bummed. I was really hoping they'd do the nameplate justice and there'd be a third, cool, modular 4x4 to take out and run with the Jeeps and Broncos. I mean it even looks like a first gen Freelander that was blown up like a puffer fish. Really disappointing. Leave it for the Beverly Hills crowd, but then again they'll just probably get a Range Rover or Jeep or Bronco... Learned that lesson the hard way .1970 Range Rover, 2 Defenders. One diesel, one Petrol.Great when they go, a very expensive nightmare if they break. Even worst, it seems to breaks down when not expected and very far from help or spare parts.
Funny part , the first Gen Escape based on the first Gen Freelander, was actually a far better vehicle Still a lot of them around in my neck of the woods.
I read Jacky Stewart's (auto)biography and he talks about his time with Ford during the time they owned JLR. I still see RR when I see a new Explorer or even Lincoln. What lengths a company , will go to to get design.
It would be interesting to see the Defender with the same tires give it a go again - even on the smaller size - its the tread pattern that helped the Bronco the most..
Now folks these two are two out of the box off roaders . Just counting on that the Bronco would win over the Defender . Now lets put the same tires on each and see who win then .
I've watched so many videos comparing these 2 vehicles and what stands out with them all - IS THE TIRES! They both have the capability and technology to get through the trails but having different size and types of tires is the main reason the vehicle will pass or fail. Not really a fair comparison of the vehicle - this is more about the wheel size and tire choice. You could clearly see the Defender had all weather/terrain tires and therefore far less grip.
Each has their place. If you want very good off-roading in a relatively affordable package, The Bronco is the much better value. If you want luxury with as good or better general off-roading, the Defender is for you. $ for $ if you are off road focused, a base package Bronco 2D V6/auto sasquatch is nearly exactly 40K USD. The "off road" Defender Inline 6/auto is just under 70K USD. One of the current issues with the Defender is that even the most off road capable Defender does not offer a factory MT or even aggressive AT tire. From what I understand is you cant even fit a wheel under 19 inch due to the brake size. But if you can afford the 70K+ another 2K for 19" mud terrains isn't really an issue. Even at 50K for a nearly fully loaded 2D Bronco is probably a better value. I think in general, people who would be looking to buy a new Defender aren't really the same people looking to buy a Bronco, and vice-versa. My $.02 anyhow.
How are people calling the Bronco historically legendary. That's certainly not how I remember it. Sure if it was completely rebuilt it became somewhat capable albeit bloated. Let's call this what it is... a tire comparison. Do different tire types on the same vehicle and we'll talk cred.

If you are paying over a 100 grand, why would it not include off road tires?
I find it funny how folks will pay so much money for an off roader that can't go offroad unless you spend MORE money to make it offroad.
You should watch what a stock twelve-year-old Range Rover on Highway Tires can do down in Australia with some crazy guys messing around

Nice video! Hope we see more Defenders around on decent tyres, think they will really be impressive!
YES a video with the bronco. 8:00 those tires are the worst I honestly don’t know why Land Rover went for that option.11:55 That’s what I am talking about 👍 Keep up the great work guys.
dude why are these youtube reviews always with the worst tires... if you put 35s on the defender it will do the same thing. Road Tires + Mud = offroading on slicks
With that said I liked the video! Great job!
@@cole2253 because that's how the manufacturers give them to reviewers.
@@cole2253 I do understand. Tires make A HUGE difference. If the defender had the tires that the bronco had it would most likely do the same thing that the bronco did.
Land Rover uses those tires because 99% of them will be mall crawlers.
My family has a Defender and a Jeep. I’ve driven both and when I sober up I’m gonna tell you all about them.
Have you sobered up yet???
The Defender is a highly capable vehicle, except for the tires. Wonder how the comparo would have turned out if the tires had been equally capable? Great video and fun to watch!
I am sure it would have been a lot like the bronco.
Just goes to show the demographic that the manufacturers are aiming at. I don’t think many people deny the Defender’s capabilities but stock to stock from factory, Ford hit the ground running with the Bronco.
Capable as long as it's running. The reliability factor can't even come close to Ford...
Wonder why LR didn't use the better rubber. Over confident perhaps
@@fhclappen8595 My guess is that LR wanted the most comfortable ride. What LR needs to do is offer their own truly off road package that’s comparable to the Rubicon or Sasquatch.
Bald tires vs 35s off road tires lmao...
LRs biggest weakness is its Landrover
big issue is the size of the brakes. can’t put smaller than 18” wheels maybe 19 depending on the trim which limits your choices
1 out of 10,000 owners will take their LR off road so tire choice was made for onroad/gravel track only. Bronco was built specifically to go off raod.
and 2 out of every 20,000 bronco owners will take their broncos offroad XD
0:46 Actually... the Defender has an inline 6, not a V6. ;)
I love that they offer a 2 door defender. I’m a 2 door bronco guy, but 2 door defenders look fantastic as well.
Awesome. Love the Bronco but that Defender is impressive. Get some decent tires on there and it will keep up in most situations.
TK is the king of shootouts!
Defender needed better tires! Still impressive both!
Tires are everything. Awesome comparison TK!
The Goodyears are fine for street driving tho
I know he addresses the quality of the interior, but the Bronco doesn't come close. I've been in Bronco wildtrak for a whole day
Lease it, don't buy it
nah dude, buy it, I am a LR owner and they are great. people online love to hate land rovers having never owned one :)

Great video. Love your enthusiasm. Both excellent vehicles. I agree, bigger better tires really help. But who doesn't want more power. Difficult choice if money is not an issue.
If money is not an issue then you put 35s on the Defender and problem solved.
If the Landie would’ve had mud tyres, or at least the Bronco’s equivalent, it would’ve fine far better. I’d still have the Bronco either way 😎
You know both of the vehicles' tires from the factory. Land Rover lacks in tire options.
The defender needs too many modifications to be good and let’s not even talk about the price and reliability. The bronco is a beast out of the dealership and it’s so much cheaper and still very nice. It’s a no brainer.
That negates the whole thing though , just having knobblies on one vehicle ....make a hell of a difference .
Defender would be a great off-road daily driver. Probably very comfortable
Except it's hard to install a winch and impossible to install an ARB style offroad bumper.
Great video
Not true
@@Adam_Rosenberg91 4-low is rarely a good idea through deep mud because low speed through deep mud is a good way to get stuck. It is the exact opposite of rock crawling. Sand/mud modes allow for unlimited wheel spin and require higher RPMs, often higher than 4-low will allow. The advantage of 4-low is to allow feathering of the throttle in tricky areas and to engage lockers, but the additional torque is not needed when there is low traction. I would never advise faster speeds through deep water, but it is more advantageous in mud in the absence of deep water.
Why are Land Rovers so expensive now?they used to make off-road vehicles for everyone, now they make off-road vehicles for rich people who will never go off-road
Don’t get me wrong I love the new defender but it’s priced way too high and I’m talking about us prices,I feel so sorry for the Canadians above us
I think you answered your own question.
Over priced off-road vehicles that never go off-road only every come back to the dealership for oil changes. Low priced off-road vehicles come back with all kinda issues that are covered under warranty at the dealership’s expense. They know exactly what they’re doing.
Does the defender have the rear locker and if it doesn't then this comparison is not fair at all not to mention the tires difference here
Also in the defender you go slowly but in the bronco you put the foot on gas
Would like to know as well
Great video.
The modes are cool on both vehicles, but for most of us viewers we just give it the beans when we see mud.
Anybody that really knows how to drive off road do that
Come ON😊😊 Land Rover struggled and COULD NOT make it with few tries. Bronco Had no issues. With Fourty Thousands in my pocket I will take the BRONCO all Day..
The vehicle is responsible for making the tires move, the tires are responsible for making the vehicle move.
The defender needs better off road tires
Nice comparison. Love your enthusiasm! You really have fun and it shows.
I try
That looked like so much fun! Would love to have a piece of land to do that! Makes me more excited for my Bronco! Great video!
Bronco all the way, but Defender is most definitely a pretty cool rig also.
Same
The Bronco is the one for me.
No Bronco is selling for $135k. Ever.

Both look great but but if your are look for mostly offroad I'd stick with the Broncom. While both are good daily the Defender is definitely more refined for everyday use. For me the Bronco is my choice but not by much.
"Defender Reliability"...ask your old TFL Channel...about that.
I do not have any issue. It's good car. Any car you need to treat them well...
@@interestingwaytoexplore4848 Many others have not been as lucky...
"That being said, the things that CR didn’t like about the Defender weren’t crazy. The 2021 Land Rover Defender got an overall score of 45/100. The main killer was the predicted reliability score of 1 / 5. This score is based on reports from owners of previous models. Land Rover has not had the best reliability track record over the years. This doesn’t mean the new Defender WILL have problems, but it suggests that it might. This will kill any vehicle on Consumer Reports."
The TFL Channel had an absolute nightmare with multiple new Defenders...
Comparing two suvs in mud with one having street tires is like comparing Buster Douglas boxing Mike Tyson with his arms and legs tied behind his back. One has a unfair advantage over the other.
Definitely Defender is best engineered over bronco.. I love defender. Defender is improved quality highly now. It's much capable vehicle.
Evening Steve...I like the New Truck King sweater you got there..Nice
I think some of us have forgotten that Ford owned Land Rover for a few years so I would guess that alot of off road technology was shared. I also think put the same tires on tha Land Rover and the test would be a better. Thanks for the comparison.
Good honest review and I like your enthusiasm for both of these vehicles. Well done!
Thanks! 👍
Only Ford... Love U Bronco... ❤️
The big advantage that the Defender has right now is that you can get one within a year.
@@rich7447 The new orders are just as bad for wait time as the Broncos. There are now certain options not available and they require the higher trim levels just due to the decreased volume from the chip shortage. Both are sweet and hard to get :(

You cant have best of both world, defender need to tow and bigger brake is required. But 18 inch wheel/35inch tyre can be mounted on defender too(see lucky8 build).
Defender is more of a complete package that can do everything but can equally be viewed as overly complicated depend on your need.
Bar is so high nowadays.. Defender is raising the bar for all arounder higher again hence the one I would pick.
Catalytic converter on Ford fell apart internally and plugged exhaust, we got stuck in bush, $600 tow bill.
its the TIRES that make the difference!
Maybe used ones will be the new Jettas and Beetles and hairdressers will buy them when they're old enough.
What lengths a company , will go to to get design.
was that defender equiped with the rear locker? It would have made a difference although there is so much you can do if the tires arent up to the game
You can turn the parking sensors off from the Broncos dash display .
What an utterly pointless comparison, one with mud tyres and one with road tyres!
It would be interesting to see the Defender with the same tires give it a go again - even on the smaller size - its the tread pattern that helped the Bronco the most..

Now folks these two are two out of the box off roaders . Just counting on that the Bronco would win over the Defender . Now lets put the same tires on each and see who win then .
not so much a battle between off-roaders as it is between different tires
I've watched so many videos comparing these 2 vehicles and what stands out with them all - IS THE TIRES! They both have the capability and technology to get through the trails but having different size and types of tires is the main reason the vehicle will pass or fail. Not really a fair comparison of the vehicle - this is more about the wheel size and tire choice. You could clearly see the Defender had all weather/terrain tires and therefore far less grip.
This is the off-road suv equivalent of the special Olympics…😂🤣🤪
The defender looks like a freaking tank from the back
You can turn off the Parking sensors with a button below the touch screen. Looks like traffic cone. Great video.
Thanks for the tip!
It's the Defender 110 for me. Put some Nitto Terrafirma's on at least for this type of activity.
