I'm a student pilot who will be taking their PPL exam in the next couple of days. Videos like this one motivate me 100% to stick with it. I've hit a couple of slumps with my studies and I thank you for reminding me what I've striving for. Please keep uploading these fantastic videos and I hope I can step in your shoes one day :)
I am still pre-solo but I am in the same boat as you. I have even more of a motivation because I work line at the FBO and meeting pilots and seeing the planes just keeps me going. As a matter of fact, I just got done servicing an ERJ-135 that was here for a charter. (We don’t get them all that often)
You can do it! Honestly enjoy this journey, it goes by fast! Feels like just yesterday I was going through the same slumps you are! YOU CAN DO IT!
I’ve been working on my hrs to go to airlines but I swear you and Owen got me wanting to fly Gulfstreams with y’all! Look like fun

lol I haddd to comment on this, I’m 22 currently trying to pursue a career in aviation & choose the best route I should take (financially & career wise) , watching gear down has definitely been motivation to fly Gulfstreams he make it look sooo fun!

slightly different flavor of pilot - more of a bush pilot (which I was in North BC Canada) in appearance - but in reality a very professional and competent corporate pilot - so that's what counts. I use navigraph to update my NAV database…..it happens both wirelessly and automatically. Of course it’s an addon for Microsoft flight simulator, so not only is it far less complicated to operate, but it’s my desk (which is substantially less expensive!). Love the channel….it’s really interesting learning the more trivial aspects of flying, the geekier side of the business so to speak. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to seeing what’s next!

Awesome video! Just finishing up my CFI training with just over 250hrs TT. Always wanted fly a Global or Gulfstream but everyone I talk to tells me 121 is where it’s at. Your videos are telling me otherwise. Good shit!

Bro I wish you posted about this before the Super Bowl. I hopped in the Baron to fly to Scottsdale on Thursday before the Super Bowl and found out that wasn’t a thing haha. Ended up getting a spot at Chandler at least. Now I know!

I enjoyed the video - wish you would take us through takeoff now and then. So you are supposed to get to 1500 AGL right away in any turbine aircraft - if I read it right in the FAR pt 91?
Love the content man! Keep it up. Any reccomendations on how to get an SIC jet type rating and contract gig? I have my CMEL and have been enjoying flying King Airs over the past year, but looking to try something new. My only challenge now is I'm a full-time college student in the SF Area. Thanks for any advice you may have!

Curious to why you took off with no lateral or vertical guidance for the FD.. you can see the FMA is clear on top. Could explain why your AT’s wouldn’t engage on takeoff
I didn’t set T/O power quick enough before she started rolling. I wanted to ease into that takeoff since she was coming outta MX. In that case just set TO thrust slowly and go in case there was an anomaly, I’m not having to think about disengaging the AT’s or that extra split second of having a snatch disengage of the throttles. I can simply just pull my hand back naturally and stop. Once airborne and everything is normal, in engaged them. I have about 1000 hours in this plane, I know her by feel. As far as other question I felt like hand flying it, no need for all that as the departure from CNO-VNY is really simple. Cheers

hallo great channel,I have a question how do the FAA rules about Pilots and airtravel differ from European rules about the same,I've looked on the Web and I haven't beeen able to find anything nearly as detailed as the FAA website.I'm in France ,so probably I will learn to fly from a flight to school here. There is such a ton of good info all things flying in the FAA pilots pilots handbook
I’m not sure about EASA rules but I know the faa offers tons of great free material for student pilots.

I was suprised on how affordable the airbnbs were for the superbowl. We got a 4 bedroom bachelors paradise for 4 days for the same price of two hotel rooms for two nights..
Yeah I think it was an over saturation thing there were just so many available it pushed prices down. This house was $279/nt

On the original G4’s that’s just how it was. This was the first civilian EFIS ever created. They changed it after these systems.
