I'm a student pilot who will be taking their PPL exam in the next couple of days. Videos like this one motivate me 100% to stick with it. I've hit a couple of slumps with my studies and I thank you for reminding me what I've striving for. Please keep uploading these fantastic videos and I hope I can step in your shoes one day :)
I am still pre-solo but I am in the same boat as you. I have even more of a motivation because I work line at the FBO and meeting pilots and seeing the planes just keeps me going. As a matter of fact, I just got done servicing an ERJ-135 that was here for a charter. (We don’t get them all that often)

I use navigraph to update my NAV database…..it happens both wirelessly and automatically. Of course it’s an addon for Microsoft flight simulator, so not only is it far less complicated to operate, but it’s my desk (which is substantially less expensive!). Love the channel….it’s really interesting learning the more trivial aspects of flying, the geekier side of the business so to speak. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to seeing what’s next!

Curious to why you took off with no lateral or vertical guidance for the FD.. you can see the FMA is clear on top. Could explain why your AT’s wouldn’t engage on takeoff
I didn’t set T/O power quick enough before she started rolling. I wanted to ease into that takeoff since she was coming outta MX. In that case just set TO thrust slowly and go in case there was an anomaly, I’m not having to think about disengaging the AT’s or that extra split second of having a snatch disengage of the throttles. I can simply just pull my hand back naturally and stop. Once airborne and everything is normal, in engaged them. I have about 1000 hours in this plane, I know her by feel. As far as other question I felt like hand flying it, no need for all that as the departure from CNO-VNY is really simple. Cheers

how come the speed indicator shows its going down instead of up when you are accelerating?
On the original G4’s that’s just how it was. This was the first civilian EFIS ever created. They changed it after these systems.
