You’re right she doesn’t look like a budget van and as always she’s perfect I’d say for my brother my two Rhodesian ridgebacks and me of course but one is clear to me is the fact that each one of your videos have all kept me riveted, nice one. 🙏👍
this is a very very pleasant vehicle. love the colour scheme and the layout right the way thru the vehicle gives an instant experience of genuine comfort. nice.
A sensible size, sensible price and even the add ons don't cost the earth. The high payload makes it a great van for long tours of Europe. I liked the passenger seats, so much easier than the fold out, mecanno type ones.
Great review. One thing to mention is that the bed does lock in an upright position. In fact it will lock at 3 different heights. Well it does on my 2022 coachbuilt C86 so i assume this does as well. It just won't lock in place if you push it all the way upright. It will reset to pull it down flat then. 👍
@@MotorhomeCampervan possibly. I did have a query regarding it on the Rapido forum when I said mine did it. One owner said theirs did as well but another couldn't get it to stay up. Strange! An awesome vehicle in any case. 👍
I don't think I did; I may not have had the figures. It's usually about £3k for the auto, another £3k for the 180 but best to check with your Rapido dealer
When you say the payload is 531kg in standard form, is that in standard form for the continental spec, or in standard form for the UK spec, In other words including the items included in the GB pack such as the oven, 2nd leisure battery etc etc. If not, then will the payload be significantly reduced ?
Good review as usual Peter. Smart A Class with nothing that can touch it from British builders IMO. Travel seats looked a compromise but I'm sure more suited to children, not sure I would fancy sitting there as an adult on a dash to the Med but there are far worse options from other builders. Cheers K.
Thank you. Only Auto-Trail builds A-classes in the UK, sadly. These settees that become travel seats are always a bit compromised but can work well if you only need the extra passenger seats occasionally. At least these don't need lots of extra cushions.
Not sure where you get your prices from but this is going for £96.5k (June 23) in the UK! Since COVID, these manufacturers are just ripping people off. No wonder so many are doing their own van conversions.
That was the current price for the vehicle tested at time of test (as supplied by the dealer) - checked and 100% correct. A 2024 model may be dearer but this is not manufacturers ripping people off, it's the vastly inflated prices of components (especially chassis prices).
Quite a few differences, including the chassis, even though they are built in the same factory. Look at both if you want a compact A-class. The Rapido is plusher, the Itineo great value.
This lovely but I can't understand why so few campervans have microwaves built in. We are thinking of buying one but we wouldn't be cooking meals everyday we would be bringing foods we have precooked and heating them up not cooking a Sunday lunch. I am not sure if this is because they are aimed at older people who may cook or if it's a power limitation. At least the design of this doesn't feel like it's been designed for my gran.
Unless you go down the expensive route of powerful lithium batteries and an inverter, then the microwave can't be used unless you're hooked-up on site. No use en route and no use on farm sites, rally fields, etc. For occasional use, why not carry a microwave in the garage and put it on the worktop when required. Much better than using up a cupboard, surely?
Another great review Peter. I like this van a lot , seems very good value and nice quality 👍
Thanks. Yes, it's a nice 'van

Glad you like it!
what a beautiful Rapido, ticks all the boxes, great review as usual Peter
Glad you enjoyed it
Great review as always Peter 👍🏼
Thanks 👍
Great review . Almost the perfect smaller A class. Design is intelligent and elegant . European vans really do outshine the UK ones .
If you want an A-class, there's not really much British competition...
Yet another excellent review, thank you.
Thank you. Comments like this are always appreciated!
I like this model- its now on my shortlist
That's great news. Glad we helped

Agreed. I rather liked it
Thank you for your detailed review. It's on top of my list!
Glad it was helpful!
Nice review 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you
Great review as always looks a great motorhome
Thanks! 👍
£1.7k for the select pack?! Wow! Here in France there are dealers charging up to €5k for it. Nice review as usual.
That seems a bit steep!
Looks a Good van- maybe should have a camo pack option for camping in those woods
🤠👍
You could get it wrapped!

I did check with the dealer and neither of us could get the bed to lock in position on this 'van. A fault maybe?

Peter, did you mention the price for the 180 engine and auto box upgrades? (I missed it if you did 😀)

Payload is for UK spec, I'm told
Visually stunning exterior appearance and equally nice interior A class. Are there any plans to review the German layout 55i?
Sorry, not at the moment but some of the features will be shared. We'll also be looking at what Rapido has coming for 2024
Hi. Great video as usual. Can I ask what van you have please. Thanks. Lee
Thank you.
We have a VW T6 CMC HemBil Urban
Great review Peter and a very nice unit. Not a lover of Fiat. Would prefer a Mercedes or VW/MAN chassis and engine.
Not seen an A-class yet on the MAN/Crafter and a Merc would struggle to get under 3.5t, but I agree there are nicer chassis to drive than Fiat

Wow
Great review as always but far too many adverts.

Is this an Itineo in a dress… looks just what I’d like next though…
