Okay I’ve just realised that Zach is the same as anyone who works in a retail position for a specialised item. Whether they have been working with fire arms, body work, vape, computer repair, etc. Even when you’re off work and someone says something that is wrong you fall into a fugue state and just start giving advice and random information. You can walk away from the work but annoyance of people messing up their stuff never leaves.

Weird enough, almost everything he says about 40 is wrong. Super strange, given his background, for him to think 45 caliber has more kinetic energy than 40. 40 caliber bullets can weigh just as much as 45 caliber (160-180 grains) and on average they go 40% quicker Someone with even a basic understanding of force equations could tell you that means it has more energy. I'm betting that he's just grounded heels down in this issue, and refuses to do research

As a non-military dude who just grew up with a dad who did gunsmithing, I appreciate all of this 'cause it's kind of like hanging out with my dad again, even though I'm 35.

Ian at Forgotten Weapons actually managed to get his hands on the original, real one, and does a great defense of the gun there. It's unfortunate that the ones destroyed in testing are almost unknown, otherwise the gun might be a bit less of a meme.
One minor alteration:The way you say they were "destroyed by the testing" makes the gun sound bad. It implies that the gun broke during testing because it couldnt handle it, rather than the fact that the test was quite literally to shoot it until it broke to find out how exactly, and how easily, it would and could break from extended use.
Zach could have a channel that's half entertaining and half educational where he goes around in games ranting and telling stories/histories of every gun he finds. Dude really has a way with delivering absolute mounds of information in a way that holds your attention.
My absolute favourite part of this channel is how genuine the friendship between Zach and Mike is. They both, though Zach more than Mike, have their own personality quirks that would drive most people away and yet they have such an easy friendship and are so patient with each other, admittedly Mike more than Zach. I come for the funny jokes, the gun rants, and stupid stories. But I keep coming back because of how enjoyable your friendship is. Cheers lads for all the entertainment.
This is very much how my best friend and I are. We don’t see each other as often now because of his job and honestly I find myself saying how much I miss having rants with him because we would do stuff like this for hours and it was so satisfying.

In fact, pistols built like that were (briefly) a thing. IIRC (and I may not) a small number were bought privately, or possibly for evaluation, and used by the Swiss or Austrian armies in mountain fortresses pre-WWI. Fun fact: there were 3 functional jackhammers built, but the one shown in all videogames and media is the proof of concept first one made. The other two were used for testing by the US military and were destroyed by the testing
Ian at Forgotten Weapons actually managed to get his hands on the original, real one, and does a great defense of the gun there. It's unfortunate that the ones destroyed in testing are almost unknown, otherwise the gun might be a bit less of a meme.

One minor alteration:The way you say they were "destroyed by the testing" makes the gun sound bad. It implies that the gun broke during testing because it couldnt handle it, rather than the fact that the test was quite literally to shoot it until it broke to find out how exactly, and how easily, it would and could break from extended use.

My absolute favourite part of this channel is how genuine the friendship between Zach and Mike is. They both, though Zach more than Mike, have their own personality quirks that would drive most people away and yet they have such an easy friendship and are so patient with each other, admittedly Mike more than Zach.
I come for the funny jokes, the gun rants, and stupid stories. But I keep coming back because of how enjoyable your friendship is.

In fact, pistols built like that were (briefly) a thing. IIRC (and I may not) a small number were bought privately, or possibly for evaluation, and used by the Swiss or Austrian armies in mountain fortresses pre-WWI. Only a small number were made, and fewer survive, and I think the only place you could find one now is in the collection of a preserved fortress somewhere in C Europe

I had the exact level of excitement and disappointment to seeing the P90 and not having Zach talk about it
I like how Zach's gun reflexes make him flinch and move whenever he points a gun at his face while examining it.
The reason for having a DE in .50 AE was so that an officer at a checkpoint could dump the mag into the engine block of a vehicle that was trying to get through an it had a decent chance of doing enough damage to render the vehicle nonoperational.
The fact that there's a handgun with enough force to theoretically stop a vehicle is both terrifying and awesome
Funny enough the Canadian Border guards got a service rifle in .50 cal for the exact same purpose.

The first episode of this was the video that introduced me to this channel. This show is likely the only thing that got me through quarantine mostly mentally stable. So I am very glad that we get a sequel one year later

The amount of knowledge this man has is impressive especially when you consider he is in a post-apocalyptic wasteland and texts containing such detailed information would likely be much harder to find.
