Budget gun without the budget price.
yes , not worth it ! if it was sub £100 that would be better all round
Totally agree, should be about £99 tops
@@user-tl1fh3ro6r yes so the younger shooter’s Can afford to buy ! . And enter our family sport 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
If this has been built as a cost saving exercise then it’s seriously failed. At £150 it’ll make Umarex and UK dealers a good profit but not the buyer. As for the collectors it’s a poor replica, poor magazine system. The red-dot is cheap and nasty with a 5 MOA dot. Yes it’s a cheap pistol but not in price.
I had one of these in my hands 2 weeks ago and don't think much of it at all . Some ppl will like it, I'm sure .
I think that a dedicated channel should be for these types as there are so many airguns to review out there
Due the danger of ricochets, some clubs ban the steel bb's.
Copper is just as good
I've got several in my collection, but I don't use any of them very often because of the ricochet factor. 🤪 Pellets are much safer, not to mention more accurate. And any of my guns that will fire either will only have pellets fired through them. Steel bbs and rifling aren't a good mixture.
@@007tallguymy bb guns are very accurate, surprisingly so, Schofield M3 in steel grey is bb only and spot on. Likewise Remington 1875, Colt SAA in Blued,, saying that they are all revolvers, the semi autos are less accurate due to blowback, but great fun to use.
Had a cp99 (bb version) and used Dust Devils without issue except i had to buy a Dirt Devil to clean up the metal dust afterwards 😸👍
@@nikkihayes5411 dust devils aren't as accurate and will score the barrel as they have a seam in the middle.
I'd advise against dust devils for anything you want to keep precise. Or as precise as bb's can be.
When you said the price it was more than I thought it'd be, I was expecting sub £100 tbh
I wouldn't call it that accurate when you had it rested at 10 yards, it's only just about tin can accurate ! Anyway if you're after accuracy then buy a target air pistol, all I want from a replica is 'replica realism' - blowback, full sized drop free magazine, field strippable, a true single action trigger and (with a pistol) lock back on last shot. So as a replica air pistol it's 'pants', as a target pistol it's 'pants' and at £150 it's an expensive pair of 'pants' too, as for accuracy ? Well tin can accuracy is all I need but NOT if it's got to be bench rested ! Plinking is off hand fun shooting and certainly shouldn't warrant (or in fact need) a blooming rest to be tin can accurate at 10 yds !
I don't think that the prospective buyer (as it's a first time, entry level product) is going to be bench resting their shots for a bit of backyard plinking and I think that it would have fairer to do the shooting test free handed, I bet the results are quite a bit different from your rested 'example'. Any one of the many 1911 replicas that are available is a far, far better option for a beginner getting into replica airguns plus they are quite capable, with a bit of practise, of hitting a tin can at 10 yds, are far more realistic as a replica and far more fun too.
So for me the Walther PDP (Pretty Damn Poor) is a lacklustre replica, with a lacklustre performance at a 'meh' price.......I'm not going to lose any sleep over the fear of missing out on this one !
Well said there Sir.
Well, when you're right you're right.
Good morning everyone from a sunny St. Helen’s. Thanks Andy and the AAR team for another great video.
Greetings
I have three Walthers, two being Umarex .177 pellet and the other a PPQ .22LR long barrel pistol. They are all great guns in their own right and have a great feel to them. Also, the pellet versions are surprisingly accurate, plus very good training weapons. I like this version but did expect it to cost less....
Umarex makes truly fine guns. My favorite is the Walther PPKs, but, unfortunately they don’t make them anymore. At least I have one of there older versions, but hoping one day they manufacture them again. Cheers.
Looks like a great first pistol for teenagers .Looks suitable for smaller hands too.
Would have been cool if it had Blowback and slide lock/release.
Good morning Everyone and our host Andy , a fine looking 👀 pistol ! Yes a little winner . Thanks Andy .
It’s freezing here @ 13c 😢 it’s sunny . Need some warm sunshine 🌞 🌻🌼🇬🇧
Awesome review as always Andy, I watch with interest every week but once again you lost me with the bb's I'm having nothing to do with bb's ever again, nasty things that jam and bounce back even from my glock 17 gen 4 which I love the look of but it's jams every fews shots!
Totally agree with you 👍
I have a twenty four year old Makarov Mk.2 but haven’t used it in a long time because it’s a BB firing pistol. Pain to load and the ricochet issue isn’t good. I’ve been sticking with pellets.
Just take your time between shots and it wont jam.
Love your videos thank you 🍀🧡
Good morning from Michigan
Greetings to you , Iam from Yorkshire England 🏴
I own a Ruger .22 pistol that I shoot at 7yds, at my local range. The accuracy of the PDP is nearly as good, which is impressive for a bb pistol. I do own a Daisy Model 426 bb pistol with an easy loading mag on top. With the included dot-sight, the PDP is on my want list. Florida,USA...
Nice.
I've the real thing in both 4" Compact and 5" Full Size, Holosun SCS on the 5 and Shield SMS on the 4. Exceptional pistols, extremely accurate.
Another great review!!! My personal preference is having a blowback function for a bit more realism.
Good morning 🌅
Hello Andy, how is the inside from the pistol, the gas chamber? greets
No thanks.
Did you try it with excite copper coated lead bb’s?
Looks like a rather "meh" pistol to me, but then again, i'm spoilt for choices. Thank you for reviewing it.
nice black nail, hammer?
Serious question for all those saying it should be cheaper - what sub £100 would you recommend as an alternative (preferably something that’s happy with the dust devils)?
ASG Styr M9 A1 has twice the power and is a third of the price.... ✌️
@@MagicRat daisy 415.(£45...2 years of constant use and no issues....I just had to put on a laser because the open rear sight is a bit too wide...I feed it a regular diet of Blasters, Dust Devils, and Gamo lead balls....as long as the gas is above half full it works like a charm....unlike my £100+ co2 pistols that are all starting to turn into expensive paper weights
Looks damn good and all...
But, just slight over 300fps - and without a blowback? Wtf?.. Woulda understood 320fps with a blowback action - but an NBB not near 400fps is quite odd..
Though. Would probably be a fun pistol for the airgun DIYers and tinkerers/modders - and therefore I could still see myself having one too.. Or then just get the T4E version of the PDP..
When/ what time is the draw for the defiant competition Andy?
if it not blow back it no good
Goodmorning all! 14° and rain. July...
Enjoy this episode and have a nice weekend!
Hi, I have the heating on at home 😮
@@simonnoble7589 guess Andy's green deal is allready paying off 🙂
@@fliesarenegade Nice one ! 🙂 How are you ?
Aiwa 😘💕👍👍
For some reason Google translate Aiwa to no, it means yes!
Co2 pistols will always be all in one magazine and blowback
Hmmm. Price, no blowback, BBs, low detail - not sure this is particularly attractive?
Been hitting your fingers with a hammer, Andy? Ouch.
Get a brodax BB gun that a budget gun $40
Good morning Andy , I have a Beretta 92f great nice bit of kit , but this thing is utter tat and wouldn’t give it house room, it’s very over priced for what it is
-why not add an '... alternatives that you might consider include the... ' at the end of each review ?
It's ok now as avid Imperial measures air gunner Sir Jacob Rees Mogg has lost his seat so you don't have to repeat the dimensions in inches!
Good Morning one and all
Morning all
Morning 😊
Please can you do some proper air pistols like HW45 and the great classic BSA scorpion and the BSA 240 magnum and leave the cheap and nasty air pistols for someone else to review.
1
Powerless and pointless.
Looks like cheap Chinese garbage. I'll stick with my Glock gen 4 thanks.
