Is it just me, or does Charlie Cox nail his on-screen dynamics with every single one of his female co-stars. From Rosario (Claire), to Deborah (Karen) to Elodie (Elektra) to Krysten (Jessica) and now Tatiana (Jennifer)
His return as Daredevil and his chemistry with Jennifer did not disappoint, and I really hope to see more of those two paired together in the future!
Hopefully she makes an appearance in the Born Again series!

Having Matt and Jen spend the whole episode down bad for each other is honestly a really smart writing move, on top of being funny and endearing, since being super casual about sex is one of the few things both their shows have in common.

I nearly cried for Jen at the end. It was all so fucked up how they set her up like that and now she’s branded a monster. AND still gonna have to deal with the stolen blood and shit next episode. Fuck Josh. Great episode, it felt more balanced. I know Daredevil is a huge reason for that, because of having to intertwine the worlds, but they should keep this balance in mind moving forward.
We just KNOW her days at the lawyer firm are over after this. Maybe next season will change its name from "She-Hulk: Attorney at Law" to "Savage She-Hulk". OR she can always move to New York and work with Matt (I know, I know), if she's into shitty weather.

She's not JUST a woman, she's a HULK, and when you're a hulk, you are expected to NOT get angry, because she could EASILY hurt people just because her feelings were hurt. Her private videos were leaked? So? Her court opinion was that there will be loss of private information, and now she's SUDDENLY not okay with that?

It was refreshing to see Charlie Cox hold his own in a comedy. I know him from the gritty Netflix Daredevil series and Boardwalk Empire (solid dramas). Had no idea there would be a romance angle. Pleasantly surprised by it. They had solid onscreen chemistry and banter.
Charlie Cox is absolutely adorable in Stardust.
The look at the camera at the end was a really good use of the usually comedic 4th wall breaking.

Well Matt lives in NY, while Jen is in LA! So unless one of them moves into their city, I don't see them becoming a couple but you never know.

That ending...........they had us riding high with DD and that great love between them going on. Then they just tear everything down and leave Jen in the worst situation. The end really was a great call back to what Bruce said in episode 1, "once they start seeing you as a monster that never goes away" I look forward to the finale and how that is handled for sure!
Last time we saw Matt Murdock/Daredevil was in Spider-Man No Way Home. It's Incredible to see him again.
Having seen where this show was headed with that dark but effective cliffhanger, I feel like I enjoy the earlier episodes more than when I first watched them. I gave some of the middle ones a hard time but now it all makes sense. Legitimately excited and intrigued for the finale next week. (Also Charlie Cox is absolute perfection with Daredevil)
Putting it in the perspective of a girl who had a life before being "fappened" is a really dark twist. Depending how the show concludes can make it for a really hard rewatch
@@JustKrinPotentially, but I personally feel like Tatiana Maslany is sufficiently captivating and bubbly to distract from that. It's more for me that the less interesting parts like the wedding, the Josh dating stuff, the Todd and other crap dates stuff, and Intelligencia, have more of a sense of sinister build up rather than not being sure if it's just throwaway episode-of-the-week shenanigans.
Wakanda seriously needs its own Damage Control-esque team e.g. a subset/off-shoot of the Dora Milaje like the Midnight Angels that goes around the world recovering valuable vibranium items like that spear!
If you recall The Black Panther film and Capt. America and Winter Soldier shows, they do just that.

I think you guys missed the motivations of Intelligencia. They hate Jen because they idolize the Hulk being a lonely nerd who becomes powerful and, being incels, they see Jen as undeserving of that power. They see her as "stealing" the Hulk's power because she's getting so much media attention while Bruce has virtually none. So I think in taking her blood they're trying to find a way of "stealing" that power for themselves

had the same reaction as Chris to the revenge-porn scene. out of all the horrible, fictional ways they could've gotten to Jenn, they went with very bad, awkward, gross, real thing that women actually experience.
When Daredevil & Jen are first on the rooftop on the Lilypad building, there's a red light on the shots of Daredevil and a green light on the shots of Jen. The drink that Matt buys Jen is green with a red cherry.
I love the connection for both together. And boy, Jennifer did not miss the opportunity with Matt!💚😈
I didn't find the "walk of shame" to be bad although I have never believed in the idea of a walk of shame anyway. If you are leaving a lovers home after having had sex then what exactly is shameful about the walk. You were deemed to be (loveable, sexy or whatever) enough to be a partner to someone.....most people talking about walks of shame WISH they were making that walk. I also like that in beating Daredevil, She-Hulk actually hit upon a weakness that he has. It made sense in the fight. Overall a very good episode and I do like that Jen is eating her words for her arrogance in the first episode where Bruce tried to tell her from experience that once they see you as the monster that never goes away and she tried to lecture him about her being able to control her anger better than him. Sad that it happened the way it did, but at least she was able to stop herself before someone got seriously hurt.
Bruce/The Hulk had to be knocked out by the Hulkbuster. She-Hulk has Nikki and her family to remind her.

When Daredevil wore a yellow-black costume in his first comics, he was written much more comical. He got grimmier later ( The Elektra saga did add to that). I think this was more like the original Daredevil. How do you think the line "i am Daredevil"compares to "i am Batman", since Daredevil and Batman are often compared.
Daredevil is a way interesting and cooler character. Batman and Bruce Wayne have always been dull to me.

I personally really hope they don't go the super brutal dark route for the new daredevil series. I found the extreme brutality difficult to watch sometimes, and the show got so dramatic over the top broody and serious that I found it hard to take it seriously, at least in season 2. But that's just me. I kinda doubt they'll go that dark for the new show.

It is a concern for many that they will Disneyfy DD too much. Rightfully so, if you read some of the comments the people involved have made. But I didnt mind it here, cause It's not his show. He deserves a break. Would never want this to be tone of Born Again though

Jen has better control of her anger but what the inteligencia and hulkking did is pure villainy, playing with her emotion by giving her hope that a guy will like her for her and copying information on her phone and publicly leaking them and humiliating her with her insecurities yeah anybody will be upset/angry no matter what gender you belong to this is beyond sending hate this is them making a monster out of someone... monster are not made they are created by human who is either jealous or fear that the person/monster can be a better human than they are.

I like how this episode builds upon Civil War and the discussion on the accords. Matt had a point. I mean, look what happened to Peter when he got doxxed.
And Agents of Shield. That show actually did more with the Accords than the rest of the MCU did
I love how the discussion went to artifacts and museums because I also watched John Oliver's last show and it's such a hot topic right now. Only if your country is run by people like ISIS (the ones actually destroying their own history), ONLY in cases like that (some parts of Syria, basically) you should probably "keep" the artifacts from that country. But other places with less-than-great governments? Who cares? It's their history. If they f*** it up by accident, it's up to them. Only a few terrorist organisations are actively destroying the history of their country.
Okay, I'll admit it. I was upset when people were so focused on Daredevil and not Jen when it's her show like she said in the first episode, but Daredevil does seem cool. I never got around to watching the show but maybe I should. Not sure if he'd have the same humor and joke cracking in a dark and gritty show like he did in this, but maybe someone who has seen it can clarify. But, I honestly wish they didn't keep teasing him in trailers so it could have actually been a surprise. I much rather have seen shocked reactions rather than everybody expecting it and complaining about it for weeks.
And I also do the Wakanda Forever thing all the time! It's a Marvel thing so there's nothing wrong with doing it so I understand completely because it's cool!
I also love how we got both a Red Hulk and Wolverine easter egg literally within 5 seconds of each other.
That show is amazing. Much darker, tho - there is some humor, but it's mostly Foggy's character who works as comic relief sometimes.

I mean this isn't a fan of a fictional movie doing it. It's an in universe tech bro who currently has a stolen Wakandan spear he doesn't want to return. And he sucks. So him doing it is less shared love of movie and more showing off that you bought a looted artifact.

Awesome episode. I loved She-Hulk and Daredevil's interaction in this episode. It's great to see Luke Jacobson again. Daredevil doing the walk of shame was funny. Intelligencia has no chill. Overall I've been enjoying She-Hulk. Dammit, Leap-Frog. Daredevil fan since 1986. I had an inkling that The Southern California Law Female of The Year Award was set up by Intelligencia. Jen went full Hulk and ultimately lost her self-control for the first time, mirroring the way Bruce Banner's Hulk acted in the early days of the MCU. Some easter eggs for this episode. The Sokovia Accords, according to Matt Murdock, have been repealed. Daredevil, played by Charlie Cox, has become an essential part of Phase 4, making several cameos ahead of his MCU Disney+ TV show. She-Hulk: Attorney at Law episode 8 takes a lighter tone with the character, demonstrating his quick wits as seen in the comics when he worked alongside Spider-Man.Todd coerces Jennifer Walters into meeting him so he can show off a photograph of his Wakandan war spear. It's interesting to see Wakandan artifacts for sale, albeit only on the black market and as collector's items. Todd paid one million dollars for it. She-outfit Hulk's is a brilliant purple and white ensemble inspired by more modern interpretations of the character, which is thankfully more tasteful than some of her classic low-cut outfits. Meanwhile, Daredevil ditches his traditional blood-red costume in favor of a mustard-yellow costume straight from the comics. Daredevil's yellow super-suit was a tribute to his father, Battlin' Jack Murdock, at the time. Daredevil's introduction in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law episode 8 is delightful, with the classic Marvel Netflix theme tune playing in the background. She-Hulk breaks the fourth wall to speculate that the series finale will feature a Red Hulk. There is a Red Hulk in the comics, General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross, though he is unlikely to appear in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.

Another reaction channel point out it was like a beauty contest, like miss america. They got all these women to line up and they asked them a dumb question. So, ultimately, they are just being patronizing and using the whole award show as a pat on their own backs as if to say, see, we're not sexist, we have woman lawyers and we gave them an award and everything, all while proving in every way possible that they are still considered separate and apart from the male lawyers.
Plus, another thing they pointed out was how pretty all the women were too. The beauty show aspect kind of shows that they're still using their looks as a measure of their hireability, which again just adds to the fact that their abilities as lawyers aren't the highest priority in the hiring process. What are the odds all the most excellent female lawyers were all very pretty as well?
It's kind of an interesting view all packed into a tiny part of the show.
Mark 20:40. Marketa's unintentional humor! 😂😅 Well, there's no such thing as a "slut" that isn't having sex, by definition. Marketa noted how many times Jennifer had sex out of wedlock, for free, no service charge. In places without a Separation of Church & State Policy, Adultey is, "Unlawful Carnal Knowledge". She would be charged, "For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge", because she was not the wife of any of those men. So yes, Marketa, you said it! 😐
Mark 27:32. "Sex tape"? A bit quaint! 😂 As big as those camcorders are or were, it surprises me that people were able to hide them back then. Even a digital camera is more noticeable than a smartphone is because some people just place them anywhere without much thought. A "sex DVR"? "Sex video" still works. 👍

But anyway, those historical artifacts destroyed by that terrorist faction that even al-Quaeda and the Taliban didn't like just because they considered them to be blasphemous, would have been safer elsewhere. Anyone else feel this? When the revenge porn went up, for some reason it really reminded me of Veronica Mars. The shot of the film from behind as she was on top was the same shot of Veronica that was put out. Now, Veronica wasn't a Hulk, but her response was savage. Wonder if it will be similar next episode.

To be fair, the given context didn't necessarily call for such a reference... given the off handedness of the comment. I dunno, I know lots of shite and usually good in that kind of stuff and didn't get the reference on the spot... once explained, I knew I had heard of it before. But yeah, in that situation, it felt off as hell to say it the way it was said. I get it if someone missed it 🤷♂
I think, if they have her blood, this will be the start of the other famous hulks like Red Hulk , Amadeus Cho, and I think there are a few others, but it would be a way to set up more hulks. And Todd bought a vibranium spear which he asked she-hulk if she was weak to vibranium. I think he made the needle out of vibranium.
Also I find it suspicious the guys with the special guns to take down hulk waiting outside the building…wtf

The scene where Jennifer thought that the episode was over and it wasn't was very ominous. It like she's aware this is a show and she's aware when it ends but in this episode she was caught off gaurd that the episode didn't end as yet, and the gala was in this episode. It almost as if someone wanted the gala to happen now, Maybe Nikki isn't who we think she is? I get a feeling that she's not the one controlling the series like I thought 🤔.

absolutely agree with Chris and all the women in the normies. this ep. is very good. their chemistry is also so good. and what they did to Jen at the end are terrible things that a woman can get. she has all rights to be mad cause she has done nothing wrong!
The MC's line about women doing everything backwards and in high heels is actually a sweet and empowering reference to Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. They were dance partners in films, but she never got the recognition he did. A cartoonist named Bob Thaves wrote a line in a Frank and Ernest comic that said, "Sure he was great, but don't forget Ginger Rogers did everything he did, and in high heels!" Since Fred was the leader in their dances, she would have to do the same moves he did, but reversed, and yeah, in high heels. So now you can stop being so offended by the joke you didn't understand whatsoever. 🤷🏼♂️

I remember once in a Community reference, Britta referred to Levar Burton as Kunta Kinte, the character he played in Roots and they were all up in arms saying she was racist even though that doesn't seem like something her character would do and she didn't say anything remotely racist

Bruce/The Hulk warned Jen/She-Hulk about when people start seeing you as a monster, that never goes away 🥺😣😔. He tried to help her control her anger through dialectical behavior therapy, but since she has had to control her anger her entire life, (up until now 😰😥😓) she has been in full control of her Hulk form, brushed it off like it was no big deal, called dialectical behavior therapy "bs" 😓 (I *can* swear, but *_choose not,_* to just like Emil Blonsky with his Abomination form 😅). She also shrugged off the danger she was in from the people behind the Intelligencia website, and the fact that Bruce said having those kind of powers puts a target on your back and thought no one can/will mess with her because she's a Hulk 😰. But she had to learn the hard way that, no matter how good you are at controlling your anger, there will always be things that trigger that and push us past all forms of reasoning and send us on the redeye/red-eye express (or green in the case of Bruce and Jen 😅😓).
Her talking about a "red Hulk", that *_definitely_* has to be a hint to the season finale 🤔! General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross, aka, The Red Hulk 🤯!
Matthew "Matt" Murdock aka Daredevil, gave Jen very good advice on how Jen Walters can use the law help people when society fails them, and She-Hulk can help people when the law fails them. I have a feeling that she's going to take that advice to heart, along with the advice Bruce, Emil and his support group, and Mallory Book (to a certain extent 🤔😅🤷♂️?), and finally become the superheroine (feminine of "superhero" if no one minds 😅) she's meant to be 😎👍.
Chris, regarding your hesitancy about Daredevil's brutality: I still have faith, it feels like they were having Matt match the tone of this show, I still hold out hope his show will be absolutely brutal.

both are great actors i just feel like the story is pushing them together, there wasn't much room. charlie cox is just in this one episode because marvel is doing FAN SERVICE as always to built the hype. he is not in finale episode....
there was more chemistry between her and that last guy she met than this. it's just because Charlie cox is a recognisable face that people just think so.

Regardless of what anyone says…the build up to this moment at the end of the episode made me feel all of the emotions when they showed her face :(. I felt wayyy more than any other Marvel Disney Plus show aside from WandaVision and the Moonknight abuse reveal.
