Jesse’s tactics are to play in transition and go very narrow towards the goal. This leaves the team open to counter attacks on the wings/ flanks. Jesse is willing to gamble this way. Divorcing myself from how terrible premier league manager he was he could be able to S house a few results. And get a marquee win against a team he wasn’t expected to. We see. If Canada advances further than the US, I think it will only crank up the GGG vs Marsch debate. Think the US needs to find a manager outside of North America
Leeds was a squad with poor depth that didn't belong in the Prem. Still don't. That's the bottom line. Bielsa and then Marsh were able to keep Leeds up using an erratic style of pressing, but Leeds fans would rather be a Championship side playing proper football. You got your wish. Most of Leeds' problems under March were due to poor midfield giveaways and the ensuing disorganization, not counterattacks. Perhaps at the international level with Canada he can get his squad to be a little more pragmatic. Basically dump it long and then press. Pressing and gambling is probably the only way for Canada to get out of an impossible group.
Agree. they will be exposed by Argentina, especially DiMaria. But Canada can counter attach and has a great target striker in Davis. Kone is so poised on the ball and Buchanon and Davies are great counter attach players. I think they will lose first game for sure and the other two games are a toss up. Canada can win both games but will need to match Peru and Chile toughness and gamesmanship. Canada needs to get tough if they want to win
Love to hear once again the "coprrrr americrrrr" pronunciation that you'd never guess it actually sounds like this!! 😂😂. Good on you, Canada! I think that having Argentina on the first game is a good thing. Normally teams get to big tournaments half way into the rhythm and they settle down after the first game. I honestly don't think Canada will stand a chance facing Argentina, but if there would ever be (in Narnia, inside a wardrobe in Narnia) it will be in a first game in the tournament. Good luck and have fun!!!
Canadian here… great interview. Really excited to see where Marsh takes our team and just as importantly the national program.
In Argentina, Canada will be second in the group. I hope they recover from the lost tomorrow. They need to be mentally strong! LOVE to Canada!!
I hope the Canadians play well and hopefully surprise a lot of people

Much love from Ghana. Your podcast is very nice and enjoyable to watch

Zing!!
@@PaddyBL correct. But you know who also is not coaching in the Prem or any top league? Jesse Marsch. He’s been out of football for 24 months
@@AmericanInLeedsFair enough.
