Dark side have always been cooler idk what the deal is, everybody loves darth vader and their cool outfits, its not that deep when thats the reason for it, its a fictional world.
@@mobbarley1102 I mean that is the issue. The idea of Darth Vader and his appearance was appealing to the sight. And yet we see it´s more a tragedy the cost of it. They may look cooler but end up dealing with the worst and rennounce to their self and become unnatural beings. And yeah it´s a fictional world, but the way George Lucas made it, it has representation (not political representation like the Acolyte) but a moral representation of good and evil.

It is true. The force is not good or evil but it's users may be. They basically made themselves evil or good by tending to one side or not. To save George Lucas/Darth Vader/any kin, a true fan needs to cancel Star Wars to kill the Empire.
@@madness9651 What youre saying doesnt make sense, in the original movies and deleted scenes, George protrays the Empire having a policy of nationalizing or taking over private buisnesss. And in the prequels he shows that cronism and corruption within a democratic solution can lead to fascism. How does he blame capitalism in this? It seems to me more like hes making a case for less government regulation and for capitalism.

How did my guy say there was no good or evil? He really gonna say the Death Star was good, just depends on how you look at the genocide? It's true that things are rarely black and white but there is definitely good and evil. The sith are evil, they want power and will do anything to get it. A character who is neither a jedi or a sith, like Ashoka post clone wars, is a "gray character" they were talking about
Death Star was a weapon. Weapons are amoral. There is no good or bad weapon despite if one is from more civilised times than other.
Death Star is originally allegory to atom bombs and their use. While I personally think it was unnecessary to use them in ww2 and borderline war crime, it doesn't mean atom bombs are evil.
There were many ways Death Star could be used in purely military manner, as seen in episode six where it takes down capital ships and not whole planets.
@@festerbester7801 That's true. And maybe I misspoke. The Death Star in itself isn't inherently evil. It's the people who chose to use it to destroy planets as evil. Tarkin and Vader blowing up Alderon was evil - similar to the use of nuclear weapons which is awful and kills thousands(potentially millions) of living things. It's like when people argue that guns aren't bad - just people who use them to do wrong. Guns aren't evil, they are inanimate objects, but people who use them are bad and doing bad things. When making sympathetic villains in stories it is important to remember that unless they get arc for redemption, they are still bad - like Homelander confronting the people who tortured him in "Wisdom of the Ages"
@@WillsFilms-lk2vu Yea I agree wholly that Tarkins use of Death Star was evil. Something that people forget is that dark *consumes* you. It might seem cool at first, but the more you rely on the dark side for power, the more hateful, spiteful, greedy, wrathful, etc. you become. That’s why it’s so hard to turn back to the light side after embracing the dark side so heavily.
Star Wars used to have a consistent underlying philosophy and theme.
They took that away and left us with a universe where stuff happens because they need to create "emotional moments".
Emotional moments mean nothing without philosophies. Philosophy dictates the level of sacrifice. It's the art of effective tradeoffs between your desires and others needs.
You do realize that none of this has anything to do with Philosophy, right?

@@markopujic660 The antonym to flawed is perfection. Being flawed doesn't mean you aren't inherently good. Vader is outwardly badass, and composes himself that way because everyone he cared about either died in front of him or “betrayed” him. He lives in tragedy, and that’s why he must be level-headed and powerful.
Luke is just as badass as Vader in the way he is level-headed and powerful. But his strength and knowledge was fostered by Obi-Wan and Yoda, two fantastic teachers (that Anakin never got).
The depth is what counts, and that is the thing that is most obviously missing from modern Star Wars (among a multitude of other issues).
Remember this one Jedi that found out that his student went to the dark side and killed a lot of people including kids? So this Jedi went to fight his student, fought him, mock him in his face, cut off his legs and let him burn alive in the lava which made this student a cripple until the end of his life... this is if you wanna to go just for the "cool" factor.
How about that other Jedi who grew tired with the politics of the Jedi order and the Republic, overthrew and killed his corrupt brother who grew powerful under this system and grew disillusioned with the whole thing and became a Sith with the purpose of further his own career and becoming a politician because he believed the Republic was unsalvageable and didn't want to rule the universe, just wanted to be a middle manager of the universe? He created the CIS not with fear or terror but with literally just charisma and logic, selling his idea to people and created a sizable enough rebellion not using "EVIL" tactics but by just appealing to them. Sith can be cool if they're written as a little deeper than just KILL BLOOD MURDER because that's easier to understand for the stupid children this franchise was created for.
@@Evan-mt7bcforming the CIS is pretty much the *only* thing Dooku did without any trickery, deception, or backstabbing. But just that. Even if he didn't do many things directly, he still had a lot of selfish, greedy, and psychopathic people as his allies. Going to the Dark Side will never end well, Dooku just realized that too late.
