PLEASE READ: Like everyone else, we are very concerned about the current situation regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. We have suspended all travels until at least late-June. However, we have decided to continue to publish videos as usual because luckily, within the past twelve months, we were able to record a lot more videos than we were able to publish. This means we will publish some older Tripreports we weren't yet able to cut and upload. And we have enough of them to continue to publish three Tripreports per week for the foreseeable future! We ask for your apology for having to upload some older videos which are not necessarily up-to-date. As always, you can see when a video was recorded in the description. Thank you for your understanding. We wish everyone, especially those working in the aviation and travel industry, a lot of strength in this difficult time. Remember to wash your hands and stay safe! Why his channel is successful 1. No annoying music 2. Honest review 3. Shows all the details 4. Explores and reviews any type of airline whether they are big or small
Thanks Felix...first time I have ever seen a 767 400 ER....normally plenty of 300 ER planes about !! Pretty good flight Felix and thanks for taking me along on the ride with United !!
Wow! Only 37 of those 767-400s were ever built! I would’ve thought they built a lot more of them than that and I thought more airlines operated them too! All the new things you learn every day.
Because some airlines don’t need the capacity of a 777 and airlines don’t want to pay a lot more money for a bigger aircraft, which may be too big that they can’t sell enough tickets. For example, if airlines have a huge airplane like the 777 which has a capacity of almost 400 people in some configurations, but they only sell like 200-250 seats per trip, the airline would make little to no profit on those routes operated by the 777s, which the airline doesn’t want. Also, because the 767-400 looks almost the same length as the 777-200, does not mean it has close to, or the same capacity as a 777 because most 777s feature a 3-4-3 configuration (10 SPR), whereas most 767s which feature a 2-3-2 configuration (7 SPR).
@@RackHasAttacked A 777-200ER is 200,000lb heavier at MTOW, making for a lot more expensive airport fees. It's a much better fit for the thinner transatlantic routes and competes with the A332.
This is why this is the best airline review channel: 1.they’re not to judgemental 2.not annoying 3.if pandemic is happening and you want to go on a airplane we can watch this
Ice cream is the best part out of any flight :D I remember flying with KLM and just like you I fell asleep.. I heard some noises and opened an eye up and saw a bunch of people with ice cream cones. I started freaking out. I started panicky looking for the flight attendant that was 3 rows behind me, I called her over to give me one xD
Such a great video, as always ! I flew from Lima to Newark on a 757-200 and the service was good, but not as good as this one, considering that the time of the flight was the same, dinner service was in a single tray, they didn't started with a snack and drink service, and they didn't serve ice cream. And the breakfast was disappointing, just an small muffin with a drink. They really need to improve the service of that flight.
I appreciate and I’m sure the passengers around you appreciate you having your videos without description by you speaking in the video. Some other reviewers out there yabber without any concern about how that may affect their fellow passengers. Thanks for not jumping on that bandwagon.
Delta is the other one with 767-400s. Those seats are ok to sit in for a few hours. Very thin padding. Thanks for the info on the de-icing process too. It certainly adds time on the ground, but keeps us safe.
Glad you enjoy our side facts. 😉 Fun fact the flight arrived ontime even though it departed with a lot of delay due to the slow de-icing process #thankyoujetstream
You got a really nice wing view on a B767-400. You're lucky to fly on it because it's quite a rare plane as not much airlines have it on their fleet nowadays. I always enjoy watching planes take off when it's snowy, love the de-icing XD. Nice trip report as always :D
It's nice watching international trip reports as I've never flown internationally. I've flown the United 767-400ER but it was a domestic flight from EWR to HNL.
Those are the same slimline economy seats you see on even the shortest domestic economy flight. Doesn’t take long for them to get uncomfortable . Much preferred the older more wide fabric seats.
CalRailFan90208 You might have writing this as a joke but I googled it and it was true! All the nearby prisons have at least a 3.3 rating but tegel had a 2.5 rating
Looked like an amazing flight ! Great entertainment options, food looked good and I guess the 2-3-2 configuration is comfortable ! Thanks for the review !
i love the 767s and the 400s have the bigger 777-style windows and modern interiors. going to be sad as airlines start to retire these. Thanks for the video!
I know this isn't related to the trip report exactly, but as many of you may know about the pia crash that took place today, it's truly sad and our condolences go out to the families and friends affected
Great flight. I believe their Y cabin was refurbished as far back as 2012 when I last flew their 764, amazing how well it's stood up to time and still looks better than many carrier's. I think United's domestic product is mainly behind their bad name.
Not a bad looking flight. Was there no free liquor ? The leg room looked quite good !!! I also liked the 2-3-2 seating !!! Not jammed in like a "Sardine Can " Thank you for sharing !!!:):):)
As you said only UA (then CO) and DL have ordered and have ever operated the 764. CO ordered it specifically to replace their DC-10s and DL to replace their L-1011s. The 764 is slightly stretched from the 763s with 777 style raked wingtips. Being another variant of the 767 both airlines were able to take advantage of the ability to type rate and eliminate a pilot group yet not eliminated any pilots.
Thanks so much for this! I was sad to have not been able to go to Germany this month (and, after canceling our flight, United refunded my ticket but not my wife's!). Most of our flights to and from Germany have been on the 767.
I was supposed to fly this route in the opposite direction (TXL-EWR) in March. Would have been my first and last long haul flight out of Tegel. Corona changed those plans unfortunately... :(
Thank you for uploading the trip reports you recorded before the pandemic! They help us all remember the times before this catastrophe. ❤️ Stay healthy and safe!
What I don't understand is that I've been flying for FedEx for almost seven years now but I don't like airplanes. I worked hard to get my license, but these flying tubes as I call them don't sit well with me. Am I sick?
Fantastic trip report. I'm not a fan of their pasta with tomato sauce and I'm glad that they served you a different meal. I hope in my next experience with UA, I won't have to eat their pasta again
The flight-attendand,s PA,s voice - I think it was the purser of this flight - sounded very smooth- and very well understandable. (if you could understand the English language). Does all cabin-crew only talk in English. Or could at least one understood German too?

It’s kinda getting cliche reading that on every video lol
Thanks for your effort

I have a question, you go everywhere on flights but what is the purpose? Is it for a business trip or just flights for your viewers?

I really love the 2-3-2 Economy layout on the 767. The food on this flight looked pretty nice too.
Same here, the A330 with 2-4-2 isn’t bad either.
I saw some A330s with 2-3-2 layout as well.🤔

Continental ordered 16
Finally! Amazing as always, Simply Aviation! Gotta love the 767!
Flying United is always my key point to visit China. I have been on their 787's, which is one of my favorite aircrafts. Greetings from the U.S.
Craza Lite Most people’s favorite aircraft is the a350, but mine is the 787!
Mine is both. I like both for different reasons so I cannot decide between them.
Hope they can start utilizing their 787s on the EWR-HKG route, the 772 is really showing its age

Lol I don't blame you for getting all panicked because of ice cream cones 😂🤣
Not even $240 for a round-trip transatlantic on United w/all those stops...pretty good deal I'd say.
but even if one way, thats still really cheap
I was looking for reviews on this exact flight and here it is. YAY!
I always enjoy your little drops of facts and knowledge like how it costs $4,000 for de-icing a plane! Great work :)
Really nice background info on that de-icing. Hat mir gut gefallen. Macht gerne weiter mit sowas.
This was an awesome video as always, I can't wait for more when we all get back in the air!

Awesome video. The 767-400 is a rare one, hope to do a trip report on it one day.
In these times, it’s always nice to see a new simply aviation video. 😊
Great trip report, nice information, didn't know that was so expensive to de-ice the plane!

SimplyAviation,
This is your third video that I watch and I just love them, I'm your new subscriber! God job!!✌️
Me in New Jersey trying time remember if we had snow when this was taken, it barely snowed this winter
Beautiful review! Simply Aviation is my go to inspiration channel for my own aviation content as well! Such a well made video
Yes, the B767 is one of my favorite planes. The 2-3-2 seat configuration is great.
I sadly have never flown on a -400, so I hope that United keeps these rare beauties
living in Dubai, i've always dreamt of flying in/out a snowy airport. Something surprised me, that 767 was almost flaps full on takeoff !
Newark! I’ve taken Delta flights from there. I’m glad they plan on replacing the aging AirTrain with a new system
Great Trip Report as always! Hopefully it won’t be long before you get flying again. Stay Safe!
Yes very few 767 Dash 400s in the world, great video report as usual
The camera quality is excellent! Good job!
Very rare 767-400 in United's Fleet You are lucky 😀😀😀😀

767-400 wing view, the wingtips ain't flat, it's sharp which is what I like :)
Love this chanel. Very nice trip review which we all can relate.
Thank you.
Great tripreport! Rare nowadays to get flights from America to Berlin!
Really nice video!! I also flew N78060! I flew on United airlines flight 947 with service to Washington Dulles from Amsterdam!!
It's nice watching international trip reports as I've never flown internationally. I've flown the United 767-400ER but it was a domestic flight from EWR to HNL.
Wonderful tripreport as usual. I remembered the first tripreport i first watched here on a different channel which was the People's Viennaline.
A brilliant report! I can't wait for the next :)

The Berlin airport in which this flight landed at is worse rated than the nearby prison.

Not yet 🙈
The first/business class reminded me of Continental Airlines 767 setup 2-1-2, an old plane from the merger?
I was in TXL July, 2018; the size of TXL reminded me of DCA.
Shame less airlines ordered the -400 series of the 767. Thanks for the video
