- Your Path to United Airlines: bit.ly/UALPilotApplication ... I absolutely love flying the Boeing 767, so I wanted to give you the chance to dive behind the scenes with me inside and outside of this legendary jet. We'll walk around the outside of the airplane and take a look inside the flight deck and cabin. With 37 767-300s and 16 767-400s in 2022, United has one of the largest fleets of 767s in the world, flying as short as Chicago to Washington DC or as long as Munich to Houston. For over 40 years, the 767 has played an extremely important role for United, connecting major cities and even flying seasonal destinations not found at any other airlines... Oh, by the way - Did you know the 767 was originally designed with a 3rd engine? It's time to jump inside this iconic jet.
This video was filmed with approval from United Airlines.

Ok, now you know about the 767. What do you want to learn about the 757?
Everything! I love your content, thank you. I finally got to fly on a 400 this past week between EWR and IAH. Love at first flight.
Yes please, the 757 is my fav aircraft
Of cource we do. :-)
Please make one on the 757! Please 😭
Make sure you mention Row 10's non-window window seats. :D
I can see why United happily let you make videos like this. It’s very professional and a good plug for the airline. They should be very happy to have you.
The whole thing is a giant advertisement for United. Puh-lease.
@@atcdude067 Well. He have been vlogging for a while now working the regionals enforce moving up the chain. This is his current employer. He is exited to get the chance to fly awesome classic wide bodies at a really young age probably due to the pilot shortage. Good for him to time his career well. Don’t be grumpy and take the fun away for him
He makes 40 year old plane seen like it’s emirates A380
He's young and smart.
I couldn't agree more.
It’s so amazing to see your journey to this aircraft! I remember the Cessna days, the Hawaiian commutes and all :)
I’m another longtime viewer (Albeit not that far back) and yeah, it’s been great to see the progression from those RJs with Envoy to now freaking 767s flying internationally.
I have been there with you I remember back then in Hawaii that time is when I fell in love with planes from him now Im in training for my license
That was 100% my inspiration going through private training back in the day!
You are a very fortunate young man!
Wow!!, Swayne, what journey!! It seems like it’s been ages since Envoy!! I’m so PROUD of you 👍. Thanks for continuing the AMAZING videos. I hope to someday fly ✈️ with you. Do you ever get to TIA ? I live 16 miles from Tombstone. Happy trails 🛩 !!
A man who has achieved his dreams! From a small airline in Hawaii to the 767! That is success!

Love the history of the 767. Never knew it was designed as a tri-jet!
Great to see you progressing thru your career and still loving your job….your enthusiasm for flight is still very much infectious! Keep up the great work!
Thanks for watching! These take a ton of effort, so it's nice to hear you enjoy it.
@@SwayneMartinPilot Where did you go !!!???
My great uncle worked on both the 757 and 767 during his career as a wind tunnel / model engineer at Boeing. It is great to see these plane still out there!
He did good…Flew both over 20 years…B757-300 is the best flying jet ever made.
Retired on B767-400. Great job kid. Would have enjoyed flying with you. Very professional.
@@CaptainSwoopif your over 55 and Sawyn is under 26 hes a kid in ny book. If they're young enough to be your kids.
Its a compliment of sorts.
When you get older you will know why lol. Anyone under 50 is a kid
I loved watching this. My father was a Captain for United Airlines 1960-1994..I think (but not positive) that was the last airplane he flew before his retirement. I wish I had more conversations about his career/aviation before he passed. I appreciate you posting this, beautiful airplane! Thank you💙
Sad
Bless your Father, a Former Career Pilot. I hope your family continues to see themselves in the Aviation Industry for now and in the future.
@@LMays-cu2hp Thank you for your kind words and yes the love for aviation runs in the family blood
As a United Airlines Captain and Flying the 767-400 I’m privileged To fly this amazing jet Because of its amazing history it shows the Best of Our pilots and It’s history and will always rule the sky for united.
Very very nice..
This Channel is the definition of Quality over Quantity. Your work doesn't go unnoticed. lucky bugger flying the 767 and 757!

The 767-300 is my favorite airplane. Best routes to Europe! What a great channel
Great to meet you at ORD last week. 767 is a great aircraft! Keep up the great videos.
You are so lucky, what a privilege to meet such a talented and smart man!
swayne_martin
Flew on a 767-400 (Delta) a few years ago and I’m grateful for it. Very smooth ride on a plane that you don’t see much today.
swayne_martin
767 freight pilot here… great video showcasing the history and build of the plane. I know these videos take a lot of time to produce, but they are always well done. Looking forward to your future posts!

Swayne, I’ve been following you for several years now. I’m 36 and just started my flying career thanks to you!
It’s crazy to see how far you’ve come, I remember watching you on island hopping airlines and you’ve come to this! I am currently 13 Y.O and hope to start a similar journey in a few years and I hope to have the same journey you did!
Same here! I remember I was 13 just like you now when I started watching him when he was at mokulele. Now i'm 18 and got accepted in a flight school program which starts tomorrow. Best of luck to you, time will fly by and before you know it i'm sure you'll be in that left seat too!
This is probably one of the best videos of the 767 out there. Thanks Swayne keep it up! Hopefully we´ll get to see something like this for the 57 too ;)
swayne_martin
A transition from ERJ-145 to the 767 was a long journey, here you are living the moment
swayne_martin
I'm happy for you Swayne! I spent 7 1/2 years flying the 75 and 76. Great fun to fly. I found the 75 had better control harmony and felt more like a race car. Enjoy it!
I think that when it comes to wide body aircraft in the aviation industry, planes like the 767 are kind of left out and not a lot of people care about or even talk about. For example, many aviation care + talk much more about the more “popular” aircraft like the 777,787,a330,a350, etc, than planes like the 767. It’s probably a reason why I think the 767 is awesome!
The 757 is like a pencil while the 767 is like a Sharpie.
I used to love listening to Channel 9 on United flights. I loved the chatters between cockpit crews of different airlines flying west of Anchorage and then near the Russian Far East on their way to Asian destinations.
One time I was flying UAL from LAX to DEN and was listening to channel 9 while still on the tarmac at LAX. There was this huge argument between ATC LAX and a few of the pilots about departure order as there was some tarmac construction which caused some traffic issues. We were second in line and our pilot happily offered our spot as we were just going to Denver which is very routine but ATC was like, No Denver, you are second. I've also heard of some other arguments between pilots on other flights on channel 9 and was surprised at how subjective but not unprofessional the communications could become.
Swayne, each one of your videos has me making me want to quit my desk job to follow my 25 year dream of being a commercial pilot. Keep up the great work
What an excellent video. So much detail that is spot on. Also great marketing material for United, for one now at last I got to know the different cabin product. Can't wait for the 757 video. The powerhouse aircraft.

It is late and should in bed now as I work tomorrow, but then I checked my watch later list and saw your video and said, "Why not? It is Swayne Martin. He sure knows how to make educate/entertain his followers."
Thanks for sharing and be careful out there, man.
I’m a licensed mechanic; I work on 767s at my company. Although ours are converted freighters flown by Amazon, and they’re equipped with GE engines, which I vastly prefer to the PW engines.
It is crazy how much room there is in the 767. I got to visit the cockpit of an A350 and was amazed by the size and comfort of it. I told the captain it was the size of my living room. I love the 767 and 757, and wish they were being produced in passenger variants.
Your “behind the scenes” vids are the absolute best.
Another awesome video, Swayne! I learned a lot about the 767, which is one of my favorite aircraft. It is very impressive how knowledgable and passionate your are about aviation!
swayne_martin
I spent the last 9 years of my career flying these, mainly for the places we went - the 777 had far fewer desirable destinations in that era at my airline. Interesting points about the center systems, although it may be that they would have been included anyway, since the A-300-600 also had three hydraulic systems and I know for certain that there never was any plan for a 3 engine version of that airplane (it was designed, as a twin, to an AA specification that had been put forward for the jet that became the DC-10 - AA always wanted fewer engines). As a bid status, it was arguably the best at the airline, since it encompassed both wide and narrow body, short and long hauls (or at least as long as I was prepared to tolerate!), international and domestic. I'm glad I had the opportunity to fly it and the 757. Too bad we retired all of them a few years back.
swayne_martin
As someone who builds these fine jets you've done here more than justice! Love it! Makes me feel very proud to be a part of it. Would love to see an E/E bay tour of any jet you feature next!
Swin goes from the crj or Embraer over to the big boys. Congrats Swain. The 767-400er is my favorite one.
Incredible video! I learned so much from this and really enjoyed it! I've been a supporter of your channel since your days flying Cessna 208s with Mokulele Airlines. It's crazy how far you've come! I once had the pleasure of flying onboard a United 767-300 from Houston to Denver, and it was an incredible flight. It's awesome that you get to fly a fantastic aircraft with so much history and so many cool characteristics!
I feel very fortunate! Such a great plane
Yet another hugely interesting and well produced video Mr. Martin! Thanks for taking us on the tour. (and also interesting to compare it to the 74 that I'm on now.)
swayne_martin
Love United Airlines very much like crazy. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Really great video, Swayne. Your explanations are really informative and clear.
When you mentioned 757, I remember coming back from USVI to New York (in 1995), piloted by Capt. Bonnie Tiburzi.
Continued success.
swayne_martin
Congratulations getting on the 767.
✈ The 767-300 was my favorite aircraft! I retired from my airline after 32 years! Enjoy your career!
I was always amazed that the 75 and 76 have the same type certificate! A few years ago, I got to do a tour of Delta Airlines' facilities at DTW, and during the tour they let us on both a 757 and 767. It was super cool seeing how similar the flight deck layouts of both airplanes are!
swayne_martin
Wow! Great walkthrough of the 767, especially the cockpit. Thanks Swayne, great job!
Great and very interesting behind the scenes look at the 76. Thank you very much for braving the cold weather to film this for us! Safe Travels!
Swayne, thank you so much for sharing these incredible flying machines with your ever growing audience! You are one of a kind.

as a 1K member this is still one of my preferred planes... Love the 67!!!!
767 is my favorite aircraft. I love how detailed your videos are. Can’t wait for your next video.
Absolutely stunning airplane, I've never flown on a 767, it looks fantastic 👍 I'm a very nervous flyer but I love aviation 😊. Best of health and luck in your career ☘️
The 767 is my favorite commercial jet, right next to the MD-11 and DC-10. Lovely plane.
Wonderful! Thanks for the informative tour. Your enthusiasm is infectious.
Wow you are very fortunate to be flying this two amazing still classic airliner jets, I can see you really enjoying them! Thanks so much for the great videos.
Thanks for the tour Swayne. Be safe and all the best!
Thank you sharing a beautiful aircraft..I am glad I have flown on our 767s out of Chicago..
Following you since Mokulele days, this is one of the best vids you’ve ever made. Awesome job.
I definitely flew THIS VERY AIRPLANE during my days as a 757/767 captain 2000-2015. My wife is still flying on it as a flight attendant.
Swayne- you're living the dream. Enjoy it!
Amazing video!! Thanks! United is probably my favorite carrier!
Great video Swayne. You are a great example of an airline pilot for younger people contemplating an airline pilot career.
Love these deep dives into the aircraft and behind the scenes operations!
swayne_martin
I'm so glad and happy to see you flying the 767 and on my former Airline, UA. I was following your career advancing since the C208 in Hawaii. Enjoy the airlines life and good luck always.
Hi Swayne - what a great tour. Your camera man kept up with you on the tour. The facts you presented was well explained. I was on a 767 from Boston to LA and the captain gave me a quick look in tour as the plan was deplaning, Major changes since 1978. I have noted to best seats to ask for. Very proud of your accomplishments keep up your professional work. Looking forward to your next video. dwb
swayne_martin
Great video man, love how thorough and in-depth you were with explaining everything about the airplane. Keep up the good work!
It's been great (and a privilege) to follow you through your career, right up to the "big ones." Congratulations and much more success (and more videos, please).
It's amazing to see someone do something that they have dreamed of! Great coverage of one of my favorite Boeing aircraft!!
swayne_martin
Amazing video! So great to see the progress of your career so far.
I absolutely love flying on the 767-300, and it was my first widebody flight, so flying in an airplane that big, especially on a domestic route, was kind of surreal. It's sad seeing them start to be retired in passenger service, however I'm excited to (eventually) see what boeing has in store for its replacement with the nma. Awesome video!
swayne_martin
Fantastic video, Swayne, thanks for making the effort!
It's an amazing aircraft to maintain too, so very well thought out through design. Feel so happy to work on them. Hope to catch you in London soon 👍🏻
Great video Swayne! Thanks for the primer on the beauties you’re flying these days.
Really enjoyable video and explanation into this aircraft. Thank you. 😊
i am a huge fan of the 757 so i can't wait for that video. this 767 videos was awesome. i flew to the USA from Poland on the 767 in 1993 where smoking was still allowed. and our in-flight movie was the kindergarten cop ... awesome.
Great review of this beautiful plane learned several things like aileron lockout and airspeed bugs.. old school. Keep up the nice vids 757 sometime soon. Thx for sharing.
wonderful videos and your joy shines through.
I love Love LOVE the 76. Best seating arrangement of any aircraft.
Thanks for this video! Such a cool over view and also my favorite Boeing airframe. Keep them coming bro!
My favourite aircraft! Thanks for this incredibly detailed and fun tour of this magnificent bird.
Swayne another banger, great video really love the 300/400 series comparisons and of course the aircraft information you deliver to all us Aviation Enthusiasts.

What a nicely done and wrapped footage. Keep that quality work. Many thanks !! 😊
This was awesome! HUGE fan of the 767/757! Please try and do something similar on the 757 - it's my favorite plane! Showing the quirky things about the plane and even your own pilot stuff around the cockpit is awesome! Like no other
Amazing work, Swayne! Thank you for this video and all of your content.
Thanks for the tour, had to imagine your progression in just the past few years. Life is good.
I love the cockpit, like a perfect mix of tech and vintage ... also a bit of military look to it ..... A GREAT and proven Boeing product. Congrats !!!!. Such an acomplishment !
