Alot of people and journalists don't know this, but when the Nismo 370Z is shipped it has springs spacers put on the springs to raise the nose so it does'nt scrape when shipping. Dealers DO NOT REMOVE these during the intake of the car. I recently purchased an 09 Nismo with the spring spacers still on the car! This makes the Nismo crash over bumps and drive harder and loses cornering grip. This is a wide spread problem that no one has revisited detailing before and after I hope they will soon
The narrator makes a good point about the Nismo not being worth the extra money. Since it was design for the track, things like memory seats, DVD & navigation screen & other electronic gadgets are not included b/c they add weight of the car. I'll take the sport package before the Nismo.
@koston777 You can get dual intakes and a full cat-back exhaust. Using full synthetics everywhere you can (like Amsoil) should help things a long. Also with those mods snag an upRev tune.
How the hell do u get only 5.3 0-60 and 13.8 quarter mile out of 350hp car?? I was really expecting low 13s or even breaking into high 12s. And 0-60 about 4.7 or 4.8
i present to you if you haven't heard power to weight ratio. yes it might have 350hp but is as heavy as a mustang gt with a v8 so yeah is not light at all. and not fast to 60 at all this car exceeds at cornering and track conditions.
this is why i love my 93 LT1 firebird formula, it has I/E CHIP 160 STAT 3:73 's and with 121,000mi and runs consistant 13.80's not bad considering it's 18 yrs old, i'm 54 so i do keep it running like the day i picked it up(it's not a beat up tired LT1)
@DV910 i agree with you 100% but you cant compare it to top gear because top gear is all just entertainment and fun... no real car tests on how well a car handles or preformes. when im looking to buy cars i watch this. when i want a good laugh and a good dose of POWWEEERRRR =D and tire smoke i watch top gear.
@Niche79 Thats because cars are made a year before the model they are.. If you buy a 2011, the chances of it being built in 2010 at about 9in10. Please tell me your comment wasnt a serious one
Nissan had a good thing going with the 350/370z, but they did not evolve horsepower to be competitive with their competitors. It is 2022 and they finally got to 400h.p,, at the very end of the combustion engine life cycle.
Still waiting for a turbo or supercharged version NISSAN. Dont even bother putting out a nismo version unless it has 100hp more than a base version. American muscle has raised the bar to 400hp+
@TheGreatWoody89 this show is about learning about the car and seeing its stats, and if you love cars there is no way in hell this show or tis host is boring, although its not like top gear, motorweek is just a classic, and I grew up watching this
@flawns Wtf are you talking about? A sport package 370Z is 33K. What new corvette are you buying for that? And why would they offer the rev match without the sport package? If you are buying a base, then you don't need the fancy track toys. A 370Z is one of the best sportscar bargains that ca keep up with much pricier competition. Stop crying just because you can't select individual options....no automaker offers that.
@503nismo Oh shitttttttttt.... Never thought about that... I bet it still had the spring spacers on it. UnderSteer!!!!!!!!!!! A Sport Model pulls like a .98g on the skidpad LOL
i have a 2010 nismo #503 and that car looks like it has its hood open lmao and im sure they have the front spring retainers on haha...13.8 1/4?! that driver was garbage when ive hit 13.4 stock haha

Whahaha, I literally OWN THIS CAR! #0021....2009. Can w/ a Nissan Motorsports Oil Cooler installed as well.
wow lool
You own a press car! How has it held up?
They should restate that "twin cam" statement. It has 4 cams. DOHC means 2 over each set of cams. 2 on each side.

Sport/touring, that stupid extra glove box would drive my nuts, the nav system is a must

it all different lol. I have a base 370z and it auto ( I know shit ) lol but I hit 4.8-5 seconds to 60. the 7speed shifts quick for an auto lol
Conditions are different versus other tests you may see.

Them spects u said are the same as a ls1 trans or z28 ..and it's 345 hp
@Ryan40272 Motorweek always gets high numbers. Most test see times of 0-60 in 4.7 and the quarter in 13.3-13.5

The nismo needs more power! It just looks so much better than a standard z and is fun to drive.
9 years later, there's a new Z coming up

How about the original 350z? The non-revup DE engine, haven’t seen that one up here
I like the music.

I love John Davis!!
WOW! PERFECT GEARING! WOW!
When did Nissan start making a Knee's MO edition?????
love my 350z Nismo!
Are those 19'' forged rays?
I need to do something to my 08 z. 2013 genesis coupe v6 now comes with 350hp from factory and its around $27k. Z cars need to step up now imo
LeeROBD but it’s slower than 370z
whats the difference between the 350 and 370
Why on earth is that same silver Corvette always in the same spot during the 0-60 demonstrations?
Nissan had a good thing going with the 350/370z, but they did not evolve horsepower to be competitive with their competitors. It is 2022 and they finally got to 400h.p,, at the very end of the combustion engine life cycle.
Great Review
@sengthor84 Did you watch the video
The car needs Radio Shack to make it around corners
WTH is with the hood gap?
@TheGreatWoody89 you know hes been on for almost 15+ years now?
THE 2009 370Z NON NISMO IS ACTUALLY FASTER, WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON. SMH
cant believe this was 13 yrs ago, im a original 2010 z owner and i gotta say they dont make these cars anymore.

@TJC450 3.5liter=350z 3.7liter=370z
@TJC450 370 is 4 inches shorter..looks slimmer
@2fast4all yes
would be fun to see vs the boss
3.5Liter vs 3.7Liter?
It's lighter, faster, quicker and better looking ;)

Jeez it sucks for us europeans, those cars or ANYTHING sporty like that is more than twice as expensive compared to USA. That's just wrong.
@503nismo Oh shitttttttttt.... Never thought about that... I bet it still had the spring spacers on it. UnderSteer!!!!!!!!!!! A Sport Model pulls like a .98g on the skidpad LOL
anybody else diggin the 80's action flick montage music?
@AMGrulz well, top gear America is coming soon though
@silverspec they have old men driving them at the track..lol
Well with 40k stang boss302 is good racing
@TJC450 adding 20 to 350, LOL :P
I can buy a Corvette for the same price.
That pretty much says it all...
the nismo is heavier
compared to what ?
i have a 2010 nismo #503 and that car looks like it has its hood open lmao and im sure they have the front spring retainers on haha...13.8 1/4?! that driver was garbage when ive hit 13.4 stock haha
why does this look like it came out of the 90's?
Gavin Sloma because this series is a classic
But next time nissan give it way more hp than just 18 more hp. Comon 50hp min difference. 75-100 more hp perfered. Americans like things inxs.
@vintimv001
Ya.... Like NESSAN
haha
Knees-mo
Yeah well I dont know where "Nizmo" came from. Say Nissan Motorsports. When you combine them, it sounds like Kneesmo.
Wow that person sucks at driving. I do the same 0 to 60 or a little less in a automatic 2007 Nissan 350Z that has only 306hp. No joke!
Not worth it? The looks alone r worth it. Unlike other manufactures its not just graphics.
You too, huh?
350hp... 0-6 in 5.3? That's trash! Nissan needs to drop some weight, get it around 4.7 and than i'd probably think about buying it.
@xvrhernandez349 haha good one XD
@xvrhernandez349 350+20= 370!!,, hahhhaa
I've seen 0-60 times of 4.7 sec on an 09 370 z with just the sport package so that 0-60 time is trash.
nezmo? lol
drooooooooooooollllllllll
no the car just needs a better driver...my gandma drives better then this clown.
man those numbers suck, especially the braking.
Lousy times, lousy drivers, lousy voice, get me outta here
Looks tacky
not impressed
man I hate that guys voice
WTF r u saying! Give John Davis respect! He's been on since Motorweek since the beginning on PBS in 1981.
