05:07 there's a mention of the clutch. but to answer your question, the clutch pull is fairly light and isn't cumbersome in the slightest, even in stop and go traffic.
It’s a Speed 400. So I get why the speedo is analogue unlike the norm where the rpm is a big round analogue clock. So I don’t agree with you opinion there. But I am pleasantly surprised at how nicely proportioned the bike looks even with a taller rider like yourself sitting on it!
I wish triumph also came up with Tiger400 but that would have killed 390 adv which is also catered by Bajaj this 300-500cc ADV is perfect for Indian riding condition Not so heavy, Easy to handle Cruising speed more than required.
@pravinmurthy now I personally test drive it , fan continue to run ro make the test drive bike cooler, because it's running from 2 to 3 hours continuously, but when I drove fan was not letting it make hot, I also felt very little hot, it was good
Hunters composition looks good instead of triumph and if they come with 400 for hunter than RE will again make think to triumph bajaj...this bike needs to work on tank and seating position...
Do you think the engine will sit at 140-150 comfortably on open highways without harsh vibrations? So, what do you think the engine's behavior would be at those speeds in terms of vibrations and NVH levels?
Those are really good points, but unfortunately, that's something we can only test in the full review. From what we experienced in this, triple digit on the highway would be easy. Vibrations are not so much as to make you uncomforable at those speeds.
Now that we know how the speed runs, can we imagine how the scrambler would ride? What it would bring in terms of ride quality apart from the visual differences.! Will there be any differences !? Can't wait you see 😁😁
Ofcourse. Impossible to decode how that rides based on this. There are so many factors on which it will be based. The only thing that probably would be the same is the engine refinement. There's a lot of time for the Scrambler's launch, and based on the feedback from owners of the Speed, Bajaj/Triumph can tweak it from what was meant to be.
They say it is not the same engine as dominar because current gen is 390 derived, it is likely the new 399cc engine Duke and Husky going to share. If that's true Duke 399 is going to make only 40ps instead of 43?? So many questions.. 😭
This is a completely different engine and will stay so. It will not be used in any other brands' bikes. Bajaj and KTM will develop a completely new engine.
Keerthi Triumph is trying to provide worst customer service possible. They are taking full payment for the bike and making them wait till infinite time, without any information or update. It has been 30 days since full payment for me, i still don't know when i will receive my bike. How this bike will sustain in the market without a good customer service.
Triumph should either sell these at bajaj showrroms or open up new triumph showrooms first, then release them.. Because waiting to buy this till next year is too long, a whole winter riding season will be wasted... besides by the time u get to buy this, the price would have skyrocketed and other bike companies might bring their own new retro bikes.. bad business strategy by triumph, incomparison to harley who recently announced that the 440x can be ordered and delivered through Hero showrooms as well
Bike is not worth the money. Ffs it doesn’t look like a 400cc bike size wise. It looks small. 17inch front tyre and 12L tank makes it look small. Looking beautiful is one thing and having that big bike feel is different. Except speed it doesn’t offer much but then are indian roads good enough to enjoy that 160kmph , chakan track isnt whole india😂. Dont talk about mileage at all
nobody's lying. those news about high on road prices were misunderstandings on some Bangalore dealer's part. Delhi on road price is already revealed to be 2.68L by the dealer, and 2.58L for those first 10,000 people due to 10,000 off
U think these reviewers get money if they lie about onroad price?? Which will be quite known sooner or later.. Personally i am of the opinion that 3.5 onroad was spread by other manufacturers as a way to lower advance bookings. Many of the showrooms have already uploaded onroad price on insta handles.
Don't expect more than 24kmpl from a 400 CC triumph engine, save yourself from future disappointment and heavy expenses. Those who are riding 100-160 CC, please stay away, it will make a hole in your pocket.
Why? This is a perfectly good upgrade from 100-200cc. And yes, if you are upgrading to a largerr capacity from that, the fuel economy is going to take a hit. Though, this is not going to be as bad. And if you can learn how to use the throttle well, you can easily get good numbers.
@@evoIndia no offence my perception is of a daily commuter, I ride approximately 2100kms per month on a 150CC As a commuter my fuel expenses would be doubled, restoring parts like indicator, RVM, mudflaps etc. Would be much higher, coming off to a 40bhp from 14bhp can be intimidating, let alone 7-10bhp riders. Would you buy / recommend this retro-roadster, or would you stick to one of the tried and tested motorcycles that have been on sale for longer?
I'm buying this!
If us indians didn't give good reaction to this bike, then we dont deserve good bikes
The Fit and finish levels look exceptional this is a go to bike for me ✨
And they are!
thats proper quality motorcyle.. and at price it should be a no brainer!
Absolutely. However a test ride is a must!
Would you wait for scram or buy this
I am really confused which to buy interceptor 650 or triumph 400??
Test ride both.. I chose the Triumph 🤷♀️
Any idea about when does the delivery starts? And about scrambler 400x too like should we wait 4 months after October???
Congratulations to all the buyers .. I will buy it after couple of years...
Didn't find any mention of the Clutch - Hard or Light. What's your take in a city like Bangalore stop n go traffic. Easy to live with ?
05:07 there's a mention of the clutch. but to answer your question, the clutch pull is fairly light and isn't cumbersome in the slightest, even in stop and go traffic.

Understandable, however, due to the layout, the tachometer has become rather difficult to read.

Triumph is free to make their own decisions in this case. They can if they so wish to. 🤞
Cannibalising your own product is better than letting others do it.
Long story short, speed 400 or dominar 400? Which one is overall better?
Speed obviously.. why would you want a bike with Bluetooth logo from starting with .
How much is tye ground clearance?
Any idea on the engine heat management that could be expected in stop-go traffic?
Wish there is a radiator performance mod for this
Perfect review bro. As mentioned hum hum first to comment.
Hahaha! Welcome, and thank you!
Very beautiful looking bike. Considering that it performs well too and is also well priced it has a very good chance of succeeding.
Yep! This offers a fantastic value!
Triumph makes the most beautiful looking modern classics in my opinion
What about the hot grip?
Obviously I shall buy it
What about highway performance
Bro..I always wanted a duke 390..but now my mind says triumph and heart says 390 which one should I choose??
Splendor
Test ride both & choose which you like..
Awesome machine with a super awesome price 🤑
True that!
Hi bro what's your height? Is this bike ok for 6 feet guy?
He's 5'10, and yes, it's comfy for a 6-foot guy!
What is the fuel efficiency?
28kmpl claimed..
One youtuber says while driving speed 400 its radiator fan produces loud noise like jawa 42

Apollo H1, hands down.

Only once you cross the triple digits and inch closer to the top speed. Then too they don't make you uncomfortable.
Good one👍
Aye, thank you! We hope you've given it a like and share!
Does they bigger the tank of bike
Uh what? If you mean if they offer a larger tank, no they don't you get a 13-litre fuel tank which should be sufficient for the purpose of the bike.
The bike looks bigger now
On 5 july its looks small i don't know if feel it or its like that only

Much more powerfu!
budget 3 go for it
