As a previous Uber eats/DoorDash driver, Arby’s is one of THE WORST places because most of the time they don’t make the food until the driver gets there or they wait until multiple orders are done for the people in the store. It’s super unfortunate, but thanks for being patient with them!
If drivers tell every single time when food isn’t ready when they get there DD or UE etc will get on the eatery’s case It’s easy to notify DD that food wasn’t started or even just not ready by stated time
Driver have gotten greedy as hell. You can't even order a meal for yourself anymore because 100% tips on a single meal are "bad tips" now. Then they judge you and talk shit if they see a car in your driveway cuz apperently you're lazy if you didn't drive to get it even if you're piss drunk and being smart by not driving or your car is broken down, suspended license or maybe that's not even your car to begin with.
Hi! As a delivery driver myself I can tell you, your order is more likely to be picked up if it has a tip. I can’t speak on Uber eats but doordash pays $2.50, And that’s not including peak pay. So your driver will only be paid $2.50 most of the time, If you don’t tip.

Usually when it changes drivers so many times, it means the amount of $$ the driver gets is so low they don’t want to take it. Every time someone rejects it, the next person gets a bit more $$ to incentivize them to take the order. It’s honestly sad that these food delivery services pay their workers so little. They roped them in with high payouts at the start, and then slowly dropped the amount of money per delivery overtime. Often, the drivers are making like, $6-10CAD/hr after you take out gas. That’s less than minimum wage in Canada. I always make sure to tip $2 / kilometre on top of whatever fees the company charges. And if I can’t afford that amount or it just doesn’t seem worth it, I just don’t order. I’m not saying that’s what happened in your case, just trying to (hopefully) educate some people on how these services take advantage of their workers and how the customers can help either financially through tips, or by demanding more clarity and compensation from these corporations.
Actually if a driver accepted the order that means the pay was ok but then you can actually see the order and if the person didn't tip then the drivers drop it. Yes your completion rate goes down but most ppl are willing to take that hit. I can't tell you how many orders are left to sit around and get cold cuz the person ordered $40-60 worth of food and leave no tip or somthing so low that it's honestly just insulting at that point. Only the new who don't know they're being screwed over accept small orders with no tip cuz at that point you're just loosing money not making it
I only use the apps when the offer me 50% off because the price of fees and tip is just to much for me. When I get the coupons I can leave that 50% off to the driver. Can anyone tell me if the driver gets less when I use a promotion?

tipping up front shouldn't be the expectation. we don't even know whether we'll actually receive the food yet and over half the time even if i leave a _10 dollar tip_ up front _and_ pay extra for priority pickup the food still gets bounced between multiple drivers and gets to me late and mushy/cold. also, get pissed at the app for not giving more out of the exorbitant fees they charge to the drivers, not the people who might not be able to afford to tip. i could be ordering just a drink and a couple orders of fries and the order runs me nearly 30 dollars after the tip and all those fees + additional charge they'll add to the cost of each item(I've noticed services like uber will add at least 20% more to the price of every item). just checked now and on uber eats a large fry, 2 biscuits, and a medium soda(the smallest size they offer) from the kfc not even 2 miles down the road would run me 21.09$ before tip and without paying the now 2.99* it cost's for priority pickup. *(used to be 1.99. how much you wanna bet the drivers aren't receiving that extra dollar?)

Me too! Im Australian and we dont even typically tip here, and I always tip 20% when there is an option to tip. I wanted Baskin & Robbins for my birthday and this BS happened. When the third driver actually followed through, and arrived quickly after accepting I was so happy I edited the tip to be even more. 😂

When I called him he kept hanging up on me! Contacted Uber to let them know of the situation and they didn't do anything about this driver! I made a report with the BBB and attorney generals office. Awaiting a resolution still!🙄😠 Ubers customer service sucks! They had the nerves to tell me to just make a police report! That guy has probably done that so many times to people as there is no consequence obviously!

Driver here... When you get multiple drivers like that, it probably means your order didn't make sense financially. Door dash and Uber Eats will send orders for as low as $1.75 and hope you tip. I know some people like to tip after service, but a person can't put gas in their car on "hoping you tip". Your order gets dropped by the driver and passed around until a newby takes it.
“I’ll tip you now” That’s awful. The base fare for Uber eats is down to around $1.25. $2.50 if we’re lucky. So about 90% of drivers won’t accept a non tipping order. Most of the ones who do ARE NOT GOING TO WAIT FOR YOUR FOOD TO BE MADE. That’s why you oh see multiple drivers. If you want your food to get to you within the time it said, TIP YOUR DRIVER. $1 a mile. Or a minimum of $5. We live on tips like a server at a restaurant except we have to spend what we earn on gas and maintenance. No Karen I will not be waiting 10 minutes for your Starbucks that I’m then going to have to drive 8 miles away for 3$ just so you can give me a 👎 because your ice was melted.

I drive for door dash and sometimes if the restaurant is busy the driver will cancel and move on to the next order. Especially if the amount they are making isn’t very much. We get paid by the order not the hour so sitting for 20 min waiting for the order then driving another 15-20 min to get to you is 40 min for usually just a few bucks. Taco Bell, McDonald’s and Arbys are one of the worst places to order from. They take FOREVER!!!
I used uber eats twice while on a trip to Seattle and each time this happened! The food was 2 hours late both times, completely cold and support was no help. I won't trust it ever again haha

Biggest issue i have with delivery is the driver is doing multiple jobs at once and faking their location so itll look like theyre on the way to me but itll be like an hour and a half waiting but i refuse to pay the fee so i wait for them to cancel it and just cook food at home. Feel like most of the time while working the other jobs they forget they picked my order up
They have for years and they are premium sandwiches. They don't have as big of a selection though as they use to. I think only turkey now. They are called Market Fresh Sandwiches and they are fresh!
One time I ordered door dash and the driver canceled right when they got near my house. Unfortunately they didn’t let me know why, so I ordered the same shi again, and the next driver canceled too, but thankfully this guy told me that there was an accident blocking the entry to my street so I didn’t order again and make someone do all that work for nothing 😂communication is key guys lmao

I am a FT delivery driver... ONLY reason why drivers drop orders is because of NO tips, really bad tips (low ball), tip baiting, or really long wait times at the restaurant (which wasn't the case here). She said by the 3rd driver "I'll tip you now." - What ppl fail to realize is UE, DD, GH, etc... Are elite services made for the rich. NOT middle class & poor folk making it check to check. These are services where we are your PERSONAL shoppers & assistants, driving our own vehicles, taking our time to stand in lines for you, drive in traffic for you, etc... SO IF YOU CANT TIP FOR ALL OF THAT.. GET OFF THE PLATFORMS. I SAID WHAT I SAID.
Exactly why I won't use these non services. I tip if I get good service not on the chance I get no or unstandardized service. Make a customer register if they tip. Inside a restaurant your not guaranteed a tip for taking an order.
The same thing happened to my family when we got off a Carnival cruise. 4 different Uber drivers and 3 hours later we finally got picked up. The ship got to port late then there were about 10 people who had COVID that had to get off the ship first and they were trying to board the new passengers. It was a mess!!!
That has happened way more that a couple times for me. When the final driver FINALLY brings me the food I always add to the tip. Also those curly fries look so yummy.

To be honest a lot of drivers don't even deserve the tip that they think they do! I have had my order cancelled on me more than once after my order was picked up. I know that it was picked up because I called the restaurant to check AND I DID Tip! Another time the driver kept my food and hung up on me when I called and asked where my food was!
I've also had drivers not follow delivery instructions. That kind of service doesn't even deserve a tip! Here's a tip: do your job to those of you who are not and expect big tips!

tipping up front shouldn't be the expectation. we don't even know whether we'll actually receive the food yet and over half the time even if i leave a _10 dollar tip_ up front _and_ pay extra for priority pickup the food still gets bounced between multiple drivers and gets to me late and mushy/cold. also, get pissed at the app for not giving more out of the exorbitant fees they charge to the drivers, not the people who might not be able to afford to tip. i could be ordering just a drink and a couple orders of fries and the order runs me nearly 30 dollars after the tip and all those fees + additional charge they'll add to the cost of each item(I've noticed services like uber will add at least 20% more to the price of every item).
just checked now and on uber eats a large fry, 2 biscuits, and a medium soda(the smallest size they offer) from the kfc not even 2 miles down the road would run me 21.09$ before tip and without paying the now 2.99* it cost's for priority pickup.
*(used to be 1.99. how much you wanna bet the drivers aren't receiving that extra dollar?)

Newbies are the only ones who accept those type of customers. For me No way! People can’t be trusted to give you cash when you show up. @@christinalarson54 my job doesnt focus on tips so a $3 tip at the end of the day is a good day. we don’t get tips on our wages and we don’t have electronic tips that go into our wages either. I work a minimum wage job and live in one of the most expensive cities in the country, San Diego CA. you’ll survive without tips and if you need them maybe you should seek an opportunity that pays you more. I probably would be better off if o got tipped more but im not gonna make people who don’t tip feel bad about it.

Me too! Im Australian and we dont even typically tip here, and I always tip 20% when there is an option to tip. I wanted Baskin & Robbins for my birthday and this BS happened. When the third driver actually followed through, and arrived quickly after accepting I was so happy I edited the tip to be even more. 😂

I get that, but at the same time I don't hah. There's no way I'm tipping for a service I haven't received yet? Imagine tipping and then they're late and give you attitude at the door or something. You tip them based on the service that they give, not beforehand.

I would NEVER deliver to someone if they didn’t tip. Also because you don’t even get to see how far the person lives away from the restaurant until after they accept the order.

If I ordered something for 11.99 I would like the 11.99 back if the order is wrong or messed up not just a fraction of it. Also the fact that most of the time driver’s rely on tips for gas or they’re losing money they need to be paid fair wages so that customers don’t have to tip so high to get okay service.

The biggest issue I have had with Uber is that on Halloween after leaving dinner I had a stop and I left my bags in the car and AS SOON AS I went in the store my phone pinged to let me know that my driver ended the ride! When I called him he kept hanging up on me! Contacted Uber to let them know of the situation and they didn't do anything about this driver! I made a report with the BBB and attorney generals office. Awaiting a resolution still!🙄😠
Ubers customer service sucks! They had the nerves to tell me to just make a police report! That guy has probably done that so many times to people as there is no consequence obviously!

Not true at all! I’ve been a delivery driver and a lot of times it can be something as simple as losing connection. You don’t know what you’re talking about especially if they already accepted it. They knew the tip and where it was going

When you get multiple drivers like that, it probably means your order didn't make sense financially. Door dash and Uber Eats will send orders for as low as $1.75 and hope you tip. I know some people like to tip after service, but a person can't put gas in their car on "hoping you tip". Your order gets dropped by the driver and passed around until a newby takes it.

The base fare for Uber eats is down to around $1.25. $2.50 if we’re lucky.
So about 90% of drivers won’t accept a non tipping order. Most of the ones who do ARE NOT GOING TO WAIT FOR YOUR FOOD TO BE MADE.

If you want your food to get to you within the time it said, TIP YOUR DRIVER.

I am far too frugal. I would just plan better to make sure I had snacks at work, which I always did. I never made enough to splurge and order delivery meals!
I drive for door dash and sometimes if the restaurant is busy the driver will cancel and move on to the next order. Especially if the amount they are making isn’t very much. We get paid by the order not the hour so sitting for 20 min waiting for the order then driving another 15-20 min to get to you is 40 min for usually just a few bucks. Taco Bell, McDonald’s and Arbys are one of the worst places to order from. They take FOREVER!!!

As a driver. Depending on tip In app and delivery instructions can't be the reason for this. If it says leave at the door with no tip in app that causes a lot of driver to cancel. Double check your instructions and say cash tip if that's what you intend. Just an opinion

I am a FT delivery driver... ONLY reason why drivers drop orders is because of NO tips, really bad tips (low ball), tip baiting, or really long wait times at the restaurant (which wasn't the case here).
She said by the 3rd driver "I'll tip you now." - What ppl fail to realize is UE, DD, GH, etc... Are elite services made for the rich. NOT middle class & poor folk making it check to check.

The same thing happened to my family when we got off a Carnival cruise. 4 different Uber drivers and 3 hours later we finally got picked up. The ship got to port late then there were about 10 people who had COVID that had to get off the ship first and they were trying to board the new passengers. It was a mess!!!
