One of the best gyms I have ever been to was a privately owned spot in Indonesia. The owner was always there and just hopping in with everyone’s workout and having an amazing time. He provided and maintained all the equipment inside including fresh water dispensers (not very common in the area) and was clean with still having that underground power lifter gym vibe 10/10
Best part of the video is the fact that he goes to Spain and puts Brazilian music in the background (I imagine that it is because the gym is called Viva gym and the song says Viva)
Maybe a new title? "I tested 1 Star Gyms in 5 countries" This video should get millions of views. The world tour aspect was a huge surprise. I think if people knew that going in, the CTR could shoot up massively.
Theres many places right now that don´t allow backpacks because of security. Here in Sweden you cant have any kind of bag in to bigger venues for the moment.
The back pack rule makes since, Planet fitness has the policy too. (Just some gyms enforce it more than others) You can bring bags but leave them in the Locket room because people put weights in their backpacks
I never would have thought an Equinox could be bad. I go to Fitness Connection in Toronto ($80) and it’s flawless. It’s only been open 4 years, the equipment is high end, flawless and it’s a super premium vibe.
I laughed my ass off when I realized you were in front of my old neighborhood gym in Oslo! It was not that bad when I started. It deteriorated because they had big member growth and did not scale the operation.
6:45 In Indonesia cheap gyms usually have rules that require us to take off our shoes and replace them with other shoes or we can go there without shoes, this rule was made because the roads in Indonesia are very dusty, so dust from outside doesn't makes the carpet dirty.

You definitely don't know about my gym, there're no fans, air-condition or bathrooms, and the gym is almost under the ground. We just have 5 machines and 6 dumbbells 😂😂
My first gym had only one multipurpose machine , some barbells, plates and some dumbbells. Still I called it my gym. It's all about your mind and how you can get the most of it.

Ppl say PF is bad but that was the first place that started me on my weight lifting and fitness journey. I just cancelled my membership there after 12 months of going to a legit gym since there was no point in paying for 2 memberships. It’s how you utilize what you have available not what is available. I know some people who got shredded in their basement with nothing but 15 lb dumbbells
Sorry Jesse, but im 100% sure i can recommend a gym that you cant make a 5 star review out of, the entrace key card reader is missing, with wires sticking out, mold in carpet near the door (because when it rains it comes into the gym) its a super small gym, no water fountain, 1 person works there and usually isnt there, equipment is falling apart, out dated machinery, not many dumbells. Its quite horrendous. Sadly its close to my house so i suffer through it lol
I was raised on neighborhood gyms. No AC, not very big but clean, we just needed weights to work out, no complanied, we made it work if it was full, we shared, thats it

The crazy thing is he went to the more high-end chain of commercial gyms in France (Fitness Park) and that Basic Fit is probably around 10x worse 😭😭
I go to Basic Fit and didn’t see any problems tbh. Lots of space, not crowded, equipment is clean and works, place doesn’t smell.
