This video is the reason I decided to get an iPad and Apple Pencil a few weeks back and decided to finally become a digital artist; which was extremely terrifying because I’ve only ever created paintings and sculptures and this was completely out of left field for me. But I said all this to say thank you for being an inspiration and teaching me the basics. Continue to do what you do best ❤️

I could just hug you. I am a 55yr new grandmother. I sew, knit and crochet. A couple years back I upgraded to an embroidery machine and love it. My first grand was born last July and just last month I started quilting 😍😍 and last week I purchased a Cricut maker and then Procreate. I was all excited about my new ventures to create for my grand daughter until I opened the app😕. I searched, read, searched, viewed and then FOUND YOU. I wish you could see my pic, it looks just like yours. My dear you are FABULOUS. Keep shining.

@@brianna1638 It is a lot of information delivered quite fast but having the ability to pause and replay a section, many times if necessary, makes this tutorial such a valuable tool.
@@brianna1638 Because each chapter is clearly labelled its easy to replay and go back to anything as and when you need to.
It’s best to watch a little at a time, then as Lisa suggests, pause and play/experiment for a bit.
I have a neurological illness and can’t process too much info at once so as i watched I made notes and paused, and then about half way thru when i started to feel swamped i stopped. Once I’d played and practiced each skill I went back to the tutorial and continued watching.
We learn best when we actually physically try out a skill. Listening and watching aren’t enough for the majority of learners. (I’m a teacher) so playing with the skills - without having the aim of producing anything - will help your brain to understand and retain new information. Hope this helps as this really is one of the best introductions to Procreate I’ve watched.

Along with everyone else…this is incredible. While dabbling on Procreate, I’ve been frustrated not knowing / understanding all the options. You’ve done a TREMENDOUS job in introducing Procreate to a willing beginner. I’ve watched it all the way through…without trying…just listening and absorbing. I just got a new IPAD PRO w/pencil in order to learn and practice drawing. I have dementia and art/drawing is a proven way to help ones brain f;unction a little better. The instructor is easy to understand and I can see when she activates a setting - others do it much to fast for me. I learn by repetition and playing back her video is so helpful. After I get more familiar with Procreate I hope to go on her website for drawing helps. Mrs Bardot is a great instructor.

Excellent video. I've been using Procreate for years, but kind of learning one thing at a time as I can find tutorials. I truly wish this had been available when I first got started. Thank you. This is most definitely the most professional, helpful and easy to understand introduction to Procreate that I’ve watched. Lisa is an excellent teacher - there’s no unnecessary long winded intro/info, each chapter/skill is clearly labelled so you can go back easily if you miss something or don’t understand it first time, or want to pause and try it out. There’s enough detail about the main skills to be helpful without overwhelming you with too much depth and she mentions any other related content she’s produced so that you know what to look for next. She’s concise and specific and very clearly knows the subject in depth.

ok, this was a FANTASTIC tutorial! I just bought an ipad/pencil and I'm an artist but new to procreate. Thank you for giving me an insight into how to use this huge menu. I am stuck on the tulipI keep watching, but the penny hadn't dropped yet. I'll get it eventually. These are great fun! I *Teach* Drawing on the iPad at a University and I created the course. This will be very usaeful!
