House Arrest is a movie made in the mold of West Coast classics, Friday and Friday After Next.
In House Arrest, Dialo is a man smitten at the worst possible time. He comes across the love of his life Rianna Jackson (Tabitha Brown) while being on House Arrest. Dialo and his cousin Pookie struggle to overcome, the specter of Westcoast gangs, living in the ghetto, and dealing with the criminal justice system. In addition they have to navigate the ill will of backtabbers and haters, to regain their freedom. House Arrest is about a man having to grow up real quick, in order to secure a future himself and his recently discovered son. It's not about a Crip or Blood but about young black men having to grow up fast. The humor is born out of the many contradictions of Black life today.This movie is a representation of my early work using HD video. It is also my first feature length production. After a brief run on streaming services, I am happy to share this movie with the Bully Bad Ass TV family. House Arrrest is a Urban Comedy, written and directed by Zeke Dickson.

If anyone has this DVD or knows where I can get a hold of the deleted scenes, I'd like to edit them back into the movie and see how it plays with them in it. For those of you who don't know and for those seeing all the Joe Dirt similarities, this movie was never intended nor written to be like Joe Dirt, however, Bob and David were hated by HBO execs and that bitterness definitely followed them into the production of this movie. The final product, and its similarity to Joe Dirt, is all because of studio executive weasels locking out the writers and re-editing the movie before release. The deleted scenes and original ending are complete with score and post production editing, they aren't just raw scenes added to the DVD, they were removed.
Anyway, if you can link me to the deleted scenes I'd be grateful and happily will post the final edit when I get it.
I really enjoyed this movie. It was a great story, the message was positive, the profanity was kept to a minimum, the soundtrack was pleasant and it held my interest from beginning to end. Great job everyone!!
