The #THEME is: What have we learnt from the first nine years of annual Ttabamiruka conferences and how can we use that to better exploit our opportunities and avoid mistakes in the next ten years of Ttabamiruka, starting in 2017?
In 2013 Mengo used CBS Radio FM and Uganda press to declare the Ggwanga Mujje USA , the organizers of Ttabamiruka of America rebels, because they did not obey Katikkiro Mayiga’s orders to change the theme of Ttabamiruka ’13, Buganda eri mu buwambe? (#Is Buganda under occupation?) and to start singing the Uganda national anthem at all Ttabamiruka conferences in America. In 2014 Mengo launched its own Buganda Bumu in America, a bi-annual Baganda conference, and advertised it as the only conference that brings together Baganda who are loyal to Kabaka. Katikkiro Mayiga opened the first Buganda Bumu, in Boston, USA, on May 2015 and promised that he will return in May 2017.
