Honey bees are one of the most interesting animals in the world. Humans have been domesticating them forever, yet we have no idea how they communicate. Just goes to show how amazing evolution is. These bees evolved to produce something humans love in a way that humans can collect it, and as a result humans now feed them and house them and protect them. Bees have domesticated humans as much as we have domesticated them.

Yulando Leo well, read a book (other than those of the bible). Try "On the Origin of Species". I hear that's a favorite among educated people. And if God created the earth and all being on it, why did he only make a small fraction of all humans who ever existed believe in him? Did he design only some people right and others were somehow flawed? Well, I guess he isn't an all-knowing God then is he? Why is it that most humans on earth today don't believe in him and for the last few hundred thousand years (45-200 thousand years) most every human being has believed in some other God than the Judeo-Christian one. But the Judeo-Christian God he's only existed for about 3000 years, only only to a very small minority of people. And the Christian religion has only existed - I'm sure you know, having read the bible - for just over 2000 years. You learn something new everyday, I didn't have a clue about bee keeping until i watched this video. Termites, marking queens different colours, uncapped what nots, drone cones. I buy several pounds of raw honey with the cone every few weeks from a local bee keeper.
Andrea V -oddly, back then...50-ish years...the beekeeper who brought the honey into the health store put comb in every bottle! This replaced chewing gum in our family as a reward for being good with chores etc. very motivating for us.
Dillons Woodworks They generally don’t sting at all unless weather is bad or I bang them around accidentally. If they sting a finger it’s usually because I mash one. I do have a couple of hives that I have to wear gloves with because they can get testy.
You have probably heard this several times over, but if you raise the sifter over the bucket and at the same time, use a cone shaped sifter that is much longer then the sifter that you currently use. You will be able to strain the honey from the wax much faster. (My father is a bee keeper) and my Cousin is the cheerman (Or something like that) for bee keepers here in Denmark. :) Nice handling of the queen and a nice video! :)
he either has bug spray on his hands, is very good friends and was welcomed by the bees for a cup of honey and biscuits, or just doesnt give a bee about stings. The world may never know.

I buy several pounds of raw honey with the cone every few weeks from a local bee keeper.
I remember in my youth only having beeswax to chew like the gum that other kids had at school....😊...But being poor has its privileges! 😂🤣
Lol so does spelling
@@justaguyok8609 🤣😂
Wtf isn't honeycomb more expensive than chewing gum...
Andrea V -oddly, back then...50-ish years...the beekeeper who brought the honey into the health store put comb in every bottle! This replaced chewing gum in our family as a reward for being good with chores etc. very motivating for us.
@@viscache1 that's so cool! Just 50 years ago things were so different.
No one:
Absolutely no one:
Not even the bees:
Him: *SHAKES THE BEES*
The bees: DUDE WHAT THE HECK!?
You’re supposed to do that
bruh moment otherwise you kill a lot of the bees while scooping off the honey
Noah Hughes it’s a joke

I love how the bees are like "You want honey? Okay hooman you can have honey"
Hey I’m not the only Steven universe fan that watched this
Cool me neither

PlushyGames same
The sound the bees make when he shakes them off has me peeing myself 😂😂😂
Oh no 🐝❤️😀
I loved this video. For a first time bee keeper it’s hard to find find someone who explains it simply. Thank you.
They don't sting your hands? Crazy. I never seen this done before. Very interesting. Thanks for sharing.
Dillons Woodworks They generally don’t sting at all unless weather is bad or I bang them around accidentally. If they sting a finger it’s usually because I mash one. I do have a couple of hives that I have to wear gloves with because they can get testy.
Fall Line Ridge nc vut vut
You should watch Cody’s lab, he doesn’t even wear any protective gear
Dillons Woodworks they’re good bees
No he sprays them to calm them down
You have probably heard this several times over, but if you raise the sifter over the bucket and at the same time, use a cone shaped sifter that is much longer then the sifter that you currently use. You will be able to strain the honey from the wax much faster. (My father is a bee keeper) and my Cousin is the cheerman (Or something like that) for bee keepers here in Denmark. :)
Nice handling of the queen and a nice video! :)

@@_crybabykilljoy_3456 geez all I wanted to know why I couldn't see a comment about him getting stung like geez no need to get all rude about it
he either has bug spray on his hands, is very good friends and was welcomed by the bees for a cup of honey and biscuits, or just doesnt give a bee about stings. The world may never know.
Ellie 996 my grandpa has honeybees and i helped him harvest honey once and we didn’t wear protective gear at all. didn’t get stung at all. not sure why they didn’t sting but they just didnt ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
These bees are domesticated and have been bred for ‘being nice” or “not getting mean” you are in no more danger here than you are sitting with a big dog . They have been bred over the centuries to be docile so you are pretty much safe around them as long as u mind your own business.
I’m 13 and my dad keeps bees and I want to get into it and this is really cool and helping. Thanks
Just watched this with the kids (7&9)! We came across it when they asked how honey was made!!! Great video!!! They loved it!
I DID NOT KNOW HOW MUCH WORK GOES INTO THIS. REALLY AMAZING TO SEE...
It is satisfying work...🐝❤️😀
Maybe flies are the ones that are harvesting us for our poo.
Pure honey is really good i always love to buy some in a mason jar with a comb to go with it its awsome (:
Happy to stumble up on this video. A true blessing. God bless you and the work you do
Bee people:I need my tools to get the honey
Normal people:WhErE aRe yOuR gLoVeS
Yes, a little bit annoying but I guess it makes sense to them.
I really wanna try some honeycomb
It’s good but getting it out of your teeth is the biggest pain in the ass.
Jack Kollhoff mhm;-;
I remember when I was in preschool, my mom would get me honey comb, the stuff I had was almost sugary (but that was years ago). I remeber that the wax will some times do a popcorn kernel, but it was a preschoolers ambrosia.
I watch one asmr video and somehow end up here
Lily Holley lol same

There’s something so noble about working with these tiny creatures.
My mama ran away flailing and screaming from your video, but I watched every second of it.
The wedding ring shows that he can handle any amount of stings lol. Jk.

Puppy paw939 he’s referring to the bees they’re all female except for the drones

Him shaking off the bees was so satisfying
May I just say. This is the most wholesome and UA-cam channel and I love it. The stuff that you sell you put on your toast in the morning?! I’m sorry but that got me. 😂 ❤️
I love your bees house. And i love how you go bare hand with them too.
man: *holds queen, can kill her in a squeeze of the fingers"
queen: ok, can I go back to laying eggs
bees: *sees the queen getting picked up, the one bee the hive existence balances on* nah it's fine fam scribble the bitch away.
LMAO 😂😂😂
Excellent! Our cousins keep bees and I made 2 sets of hives for them. Interesting marking the Queen.
Yes, in the bee religion that is known as taking the mark of the beast. They frown upon it but, hey, she's the queen, she can do wtf she wants.
“Have to be considerate of the bees” *shakes bees violently to get them out*
I just love the light shake of the bees to knock em off back into the box
Nice to see how fellow beekeepers in other countries are working. Greetings from the Netherlands
