Honey makes a fantastic, healthier, replacement for sugar when baking also. The refined white sugar used by everyone pretty much, is not a healthy product, go for demerara sugar which a a dark brown and you have something healthier. Honey is a very healthy natural sweetener.

This is amazing and inspiring. I want to get into this. Btw your kitchen floors are absolutely gorgeous. I also really enjoyed the three batch comparisons, very interesting.
had me laughing with the "little" amount of honey you put on your buns! adorable lad at the end again edit: also the comparisson at the end is great. you never really see them that clearly side by side
This might sound like a dumb question but when you put those boxes back on the hives do you make sure you put each one back where you got it or does it matter? It always amazes me to see how God blesses us every day. God bless
No, it doesn't matter as long as the hives are disease free. The only concern is American Foul Brood spreading from hive to hive. But, if you don't have it, you can put them wherever. I mix frames between hives frequently for various reasons.
Thanks for the video. I just started beekeeping. Can’t wait to have some different batches to compare. Cutting the capping off the comb was so relaxing to watch. Even the sound was nice. Well done.
Your videos keep getting better and better! Very impressive videography skills with this one! Loved all of the shots extracting the honey. Very satisfying to watch!
I have always loved the Spring. Everything so fresh and new, looks like Honey is the same. Thank you for showing your harvest. Has always I liked and shared. All my best to you and yours.
Somebody looks like his daddy. 😊😊. I am wondering if it might be a little less honey 🍯 this season in my area. It’s been cool and wet. Keep us updated on the Hogg cassettes. Good video. Phillip Hall
It's really hard to gauge a flow without decades of experience. For my area I need strings of days with temps above 85F to trigger white clover to produce nectar. I'm very happy when it rains at night. We just got the ground recharged with like 5 inches of rain in two days. I'm good for a week. Stack em up boyz! Seriously I'm usually pulling supers by July 4th and this year I might be just putting them back on empty to get refilled. We have endless flow years. I'm crossing my fingers.
My brother has been wanting bees and as a birthday gift my nana gave him a new colony and enough supplies for two boxes. This video makes me feel hungry.
Now I'm curious what some honey produced by a hive near arbutus trees would taste like. The arbutus tree is local for my area and is a flowering fruit tree that is known to attract bees. If you have dry, sandy soil in an exposed area you might have the conditions to grow them, if you can source seedlings or saplings. They do make a very nice finishing detail hardwood ( a brittle hardwood so not good for structural use ) but are not a widespread species of tree so unlikely to ever find it available.
Aw man I was cussing you out at the end with my mouth watering, then your baby came on & made me laugh so I felt bad lol, enjoy it and I will envy you. Nice harvest.
I knew before this video ended that your wife was gonna have a plate of biskits. Y'all sure know how to tempt an old man. lol. Cute little kid, I'll bet he likes it too.
You my friend have turned me into a honey freak! I want bees but I don’t think I have the discipline. my neighbor did just get two hives that I need to go check out. By the way your editing is very professional looking 200k subs before you know it
My favorite honey is chestnut honey ! In France there is a small department called Ardèche, where i found probably the best chestnut honey in Europe, produced by small artisans like you. I don't know anything about american honey, of course i'm from center of france ! Here the chesnut honey is litteraly black . With a super powerful taste, perfect with a slice of rye bread !!
I could honestly watch just the removal of the caps for hours. No additional music or commentary needed, I just like to watch that step of the process.
Your probably gonna think im a idiot but surely for all the money you have in that equipment you also sell the honey too. Thats alot of work to remove all that honey . Very neat to finally watch someone extract honey. I have always wanted to watch the process and never dreamed there was that much involved
I don't think I've ever seen honey as dark as that third jar at the end of this video. It's probably because of mass marketing. Regardless , I sure would like to taste some of it.
I set some swarm traps on the homestead, unfortunately I haven’t gotten any takers yet. It seems as though there is a decline in the population this year. I haven’t seen as many workers in my clovers as I did in the previous years 🤔. Last year I found over 5 large hives in the hollowed out cavities of some old oaks. I just let them bee hoping I could get them to my nuc. I’m just getting into bee keeping and I’m trying to keep from buying cultivated bees even though that would be the quicker way of getting started. Maybe I’ll get lucky next year.
This is so great, we enjoyed watching you, We too, last week we picked about a ton of delicious and natural honey from the Croatian mountains, around our house, we made a video about it and posted on our channel, another harvest will be in a month
Good job on the comb honey that is my absolute favorite. I think it tastes better. I don't know why, maybe because extractor honey is whipped? That's why I want to taste Flow Hive honey to see if it is more like comb honey in the taste department.
A man of your talents and you're using a wobbly folding table for your extractor? I'd have thought that you would have made a sturdy wooden stand to secure it while you are spinning. Also, isn't it a 4 frame extractor?
Cool stuff! We grew up next door to an old retired plumber from Oklahoma back in the 70’s as a young boy that had 7 or 8 hives going always. Once I put on the suit to help rob the bees as he put it the video sound took me back. Thanks for that I did once only because the sound was so intense my brother help all the time. His pay was 1 quart some of the best breakfast I remember had fresh honey all over our toast/biscuits. Store bought honey has an after taste compared to fresh honey. Is there anyway to buy a quart from you?
Hi . Your doing an amazing job with the honey 🍯. It must be very tasty mate. May I ask where do you sell the honey that you get I would like to buy some😁. Thanks
I have always been with the understanding that we should not feed honey to small children. Right ,wrong, maybe I really don't know for sure. That's just what I was told years ago.

Darkness of the honey has more to do with the flowers the bees pollinate at the time of the year. Buckwheat honey is way darker than clover honey. Some fruit flower honey is lighter.
The experimental hive is super cool, looking forward to seeing more of that

It's a 4 frame extractor for shallow frames. These are mediums. You can fit 2 mediums, 2 deeps, or 4 shallows in it.
I've been to a beekeeping place some time, and he was very careful. Bees are also life, so we should treat
them preciously, right?
