Working with npesta was super fun, and we will for certain do more stuff together in the future, so be on the lookout for that :) While we disagreed here and there, that's to be expected on an opinionated video. We discussed a little bit of everything here, from 2.2 to extreme demons, to gamemodes and so on and so forth, which was interesting to say the least. Also I had to put the undertale sountrack on in the background for good measure. Cmon, I recorded with npesta, ofc I had to use the undertale OST.

Hi, im NcaT and i have a mental capacity over the age of 3, and im here to share my opinion about Thinking Space, as I have 98 on the level at the moment and so have alot of experience with the level. I dont know if you are ever reading this, but here it goes. I personally think Thinking Space should get rated, over the fact that every level that has much good effort put into them should get rated, for example Atomic having many fails and 75k attempts on it. Although it does not look very good, people attend to overlook most of the details the level has. The level design wise and gameplay wise is so unique that no level shares any similarities, and uniqueness can make a level great. The fact this was built in early 2.0 (the time that almost all levels sucked) it's actually very decent for its time. Every top player call the gameplay unfun except for the ones who have made good progress on it. Learning Thinking Space may not be fun at all but believe me when I say that it's actually really good to play when you've learned everything, and it never gets boring, the others with good progress agree on this too. Everyone shitting on it saying it's not rate worthy because of the gameplay probably haven't even played it enough, there are levels in the top 10 with way worse gameplay. In my opinion Thinking Space looks better than levels like XO, and those do get rated, even though the gameplay in that level is even worse. It's a jumble-up of opinions thrown into 1 big pot.Even with the fact that it's all based on opinions, many demons they've had to push down to promote others haven't and cannot be put back to their actual places.If they really took the time to lose their sanity over organizing a list, they w ould go absolutely insane.With that, still roots back to the fact that its opinion-based. Tbh I absolutely hate how people put LDM keys and such in the level. Robtop added a feature which let's you check a mark in a box instead, why not use that? It's a real hassle to try and get them in the level, just use the built in LDM instead smh

I agree for any level made after 2.11, but 2.0 and early 2.1 levels had an excuse because it didn't exist

I think it was definitely a lot better than people made it out to be, but overall I actually preferred ppf and honestly I liked sonic wave a lot as well

i really love the way most of his level looks, some times is really exaggerated and sometimes is just forgettable
his gameplay is pretty unbalanced, just look at the future funk levels. past 60%, the level is extremely hard which makes your experience worse and more frustrating
I died 13 past 67% on future funk and it is really frustrating
the endings on each of his levels are actually garbage, I can understand that it supposed to be difficult, but I don't think your still depends on that fucking robot timing on the end just because it's a joke to die at 99% in a 4 minutes level, and one more thing, Jonathan doesnt even verify his levels, which means he cant have a full experience on it, and fix the issues. btw Jonathan is not a bad creator, he disappoints me sometimes but his levels are really well made
I really argree with you on that one. I am playing future funk right now and i have died above 90% 11 timers nom and that is a shame because the rest of the level is really fun, but the last part just makes me hate the level every time I play it. AND DYING AT 99 ON AN XL DEMON IS NOT FUN JONATHAN

to be fair, Jonathan still makes the effort of making people playtest the level which helps in dodging most of the bugs

17:18 Watching this after 2.2 finally came out, yeah we really needed this update. Besides the obvious things like new editor features & a new main level, the game is just so much more optimized now & has SO many quality of life features that were locked to MegaHack before this. With 2.2, all of the main features people went to MegaHack for are in the base game now besides icon hack, start position switcher, smart start position, noclip, & instant complete.

I find it kinda funny that most of these are fine and perfectly valid opinions, but then every once in a while I just see one that makes me go "Whoa, there, I disagree on a personal level!" Like the one with Jonathan, as, yes, there are occasional times where the deco and design is a bit lazy, but with the vast majority I love his style and believe he is one of the best creators, designers, and decorators in the entire game. Also with the one about Creo, I disagree entirely with the stance that his music blends together, lacks replayability, or isn't exceptional. I listen to so many of his songs over and over again and find each of them has their own unique feeling and each one manages to do something different with his overall style. But yeah, anyways, great video with lots of interesting takes and opinions to discuss and think about, even if not everyone agrees!
But frick you the spider is so much fun when done right and is my favorite game mode.

Yeah I agree with you on the creo thing. A lot of his songs are very unique and different from each other. My top 5 favorite songs from him are Dune, Sphere, Aura, Ahead of the Curve, and Dimension. I don't think those songs share any similarities, maybe Sphere and Dimension have some similar parts, specifically the saxophone parts, but thats about it. Creo is probably one of my top 15 favorite artists. And that says a lot, because I listen to TONS of music. There are hundreds of song artists that I like.
And I like the spider gamemode too. It's not my favorite tho. Ship is actually my favorite gamemode (despite me being on 60hz lol).
I think Extreme Demons must have a unique thing in the level, like it just have to be different from other extreme demons or we will just get a shitty unoriginal rate-worthy level trying to be an extreme demon

Unpopular opinion: I love the spider gamemode because it's easy to make synced gameplay with it and i also dislike the ship for being an unsynced, uncontrollable and unfun gamemode.
GD Lunar that's just a lack of creating skill then loI, you can definitely make a synced ship part. another thing is that making a synced spider part for a slow moving song is incredibly unfun, because you either make 90% of it auto and boring or the part seems off

I love nine circles as well because wave is fantastic and when you add on more effects onto the decoration, it just looks amazing
personally i believe, although not necessary, being a good creator helps when being a mod. it will just be easier for them to say what they dislike. not necessary but useful.
I agree , you can see wulzy's modding videos , he is a creator so he know what colors go well with each other and how to make a good gp and even give advice for decoration and do it himself

My unpopular opinions:
-CP is worthless and there shouldn’t be a creator’s leaderboard; creating is not a competition
-GD is a good level when it comes to showing the community the amazing amount of 2.0 features, while fingerdash is not
-Taman was a revolutionary creator because he could control the atmosphere and mood of his levels by using negative space rather than cramming as much detail as he could onto the screen (tldr: he showed less is more)
-Waterflame is underused and deserves credit for being an artist that can create great songs that are distinct from one another while having a distinct style
-Most 2.1 blocks are garbage and aren’t synergistic with the rest of GD’s blocks
-Most 2.1 icons/ships etc. don’t look good when you’re playing a level
-The Korean community is heavily underrated in the impact it has made to GD

The thing I REALLY liked about zodiac is that it was one of the few number 1 demons which wasn't hell themed. actually for me it's one of the best looking extreme demons by far.
Tbh, I disagree, I feel zodiac is one of the most generic extremes in the game, my opinion is BL as best cuz although it was hell themed, it was built on another legendary #1 demon, and had decent deco. It also just really felt like the cool legendary hardest demon than any other #1 imo. also, I think people are overreacting about the overabundance of hell themed levels unless it's something super generic like step to hell and even the rebirthed hell series
Misanthrope is also not gonna be hell themed , its probably gonna be purple themed and i have really high hopes for it

The deal with Creo is that (in GD) the most popular songs blend togerther. If you look at Creo songs the PA community is using, it's easy to find an insane veriety, almost like Bossfight.

In fact, non-famous creators get rates all the time, you just never see them up front. Go to recent star rated levels, and you'll see what I mean, a lot of the creators there have cp in the teens, with some single digits in there as well.
PizzaPandas Thats where you are wrong. About 60 of my 280 or so friends have acquired CP in the last 2-3 years, and its becoming a rarity to see creators like Jayuff, Xender Game and other big name creators get rates. You more often see lesser known names get rated. I should know, since I got CP as well. The “unknown creator” scheme is over, since as of the last year, Rob has been rating FAR more levels from 0-CP creators. If a creator wants their level rated and complains about when someone else gets a level rated, maybe make a level that impresses some mods.
I mean, it's annoying when high end creators make legitimate crap, but if they make a good level they deserve the gamer points

Ripplez' Fast as Lightning is the most impressive level made to this date, because it was so far ahead of its time. You can play that *today* and it still holds up to featured standards.

Scaling orbs up should be done more, the longer you uninterruptedly were in the air because hitting one orb late then might make you miss one of the next ones

this is probably because im newer than some people to this game as ive only been playing it for about 2 and a half years but i think the nine circles trend shouldnt fully die as long as long as people make them original, for example aquatic aurora by endlevel and lime, that level is god tier

Creo is very good. I thought he is very good but an example of his structure is through Zodiacs song, Sphere. It has the same drop twice with an into before and a bridge in the middle and some small bit afterwards. I also say that creo layers the main hook on top of the behind drop

I strongly disagree with the Creo take. I believe his songs are VERY unique and stand out from one another. Additionally, his sound design and use of different sounds/instruments, in general, is on a whole other level than any other song artist I can think of in Geometry Dash. Lastly, Creo has many songs that are incredible and not often used in the game. Keep in mind as well that Geometry Dash is a game where you listen to the same song countless times before beating a level in some cases, and this can cause a song to overstay its welcome. If you listened to any song on non-stop repeat for days, you would begin to not like it.

hearing the conversation about creo was really weird to me because my music teacher at school is in a band named creo. His shit is good and im not dissing it in anyway but damn was it weird to listen to that conversation
4:00 Okay listen, yes spider is a VERY basic gamemode but I've seen and made some that are incredibly fun for me. I'm not sure why i find it fun, i just do. Especially spider duals, i love those. I feel like there's a lot that you can do despite the spider being so simple and basic. The way it works is simple though you can still do some weird things and make it unique and fun. Again it's hard to explain, i just enjoy it a lot. I respect your guys' opinions but DAMN I LOVE THE SPIDER.

@@ZeyLogger i don't mind UFO and Robot, but spider and ship are personally my favorite gamemodes. Robot can be obsolete sometimes so it gets a little annoying when it's used when it doesn't need to be. UFO is just one of those weird ones that i like but i also kinda don't
My favorite gamemode is wave, becuase i can make knobbleboy summon out of (making) his dual gameplay.
My fav gamemode is definitely ship, i think i'm really good at ship and you can do so many types of super fun gameplay :D

tbh i prefer thinking space than tartarus for few reasons:
1.TS has actually interesting deco. it is terrible but it is unique , while tartarus doesnt really stands out.
2.From what ive heard , TS is sorta fun , and tartarus is just ugh. (only drop is alright i guess)
3.TS just happened to be made in early 2.0 when this style was the one that dominated GD , and Tartarus doesnt even look decent for a 1.9 level (and it got some parts with newer effects , like the drop. srsly the drop is the only tartarus part that isnt poo)
4.Song choice. Clubstep is a good song but cmon please. TS's song atleast is good.

I sightly agree with "when the gameplay is done right, spider is the most fun gamemode. Because for alot of the gameplay if you think outside the box it can be very memorable.

Here’s my hot take: extreme demons lost all magic. They feel like a desperate attempt for attention (especially the ones that are made to be #1 LEGENDARY). I feel the community should focus more on fun easier levels rather than pushing someone to their limits.

I disagree a little bit , imo i think geometry dash is a challenging game more than a chill easy game , so that's why i love seeing people trying to beat harder levels and push their limits but only if they are enjoying , even i love to improve and do harder demons but if i don't like a level i just drop it . At the end , enjoy the game the way you enjoy it and always remember " it's a game "

14:06 tartarus got rated recently mostly because it is very hard but if tartarus was an easy demon it probebly wouldn't get rated by that logic thinking space should be rated to. Btw i do not think thinking space and tartarus should be rated but this is an argument i have heard and I think it is a decent argument (not good enough)
but thinking space is ugly, tartarus looks really good especially for being hell themed and a 1.9 level. Thinking space has bad colors, very bad and unbalanced gameplay, and bad transitions. Tartarus is simply a much better level.
my opinion on the hinking Space (Rate-Or-Not) : Thinking Space shouldn't be rated because of it's lack in quality+design and its horrible gameplay. Yet, I do feel that Aomic(Verifier) should be more acknowledged for his great achievement of the verification itself. If it gets down to the level having to be rated, it surely shouldnt be featured. This is a very nice debate that will go on with many different opinions that usually have good facts against each other. If you have a counter-part to this conversation, be free to give me your personal opinion!
Tartarus deco probably isn’t rateworthy either however it obviously has its legacy of being the inevitable hardest demon for such a long time regardless the creators tried to make it look good thinking space on the other hand doesn’t try to look good and it in no way, shape or form holds up considering it was never rate worthy in the first place so I agree that it shouldn’t ever be rated
